NWA
ANARCHY TV TYAPING REPORT for 3-15-08 by LARRY GOODMAN
NWA
Anarchy made the last stop on the road to Hardcore Hell ’08 a damn good one.
You couldn’t ask much more out of a set up show.
Attendance was 160 at the Paul C. Parker Arena. The
drop was expected on the heels of the tornados that had ripped through
With the annual spring spectacular just seven days
away, last night was a lesson how to set up a big show. It’s something
they’ve gotten down to fine science in Cornelia after all these years. Lots
of story and just enough wrestling. Like 2 weeks ago, this was pure television
style - only seven matches, all of them less going less than 10 minutes.
NWA Anarchy owner Jerry Palmer opened the show by
introducing the Top Rope Kids Club. Prior to each show, kids under twelve will
be allowed to come inside the barricade for 10 minutes or so of quality time
with one of the babyface wrestlers. The catch is the kids have to well at
school and behave themselves at home.
(1) Adrian Hawkins beat Todd Sexton (with Bobby Hill
& Tyler Smith) via DQ in 8:48. Hill and Smith came out in black
hoodies to match their new mentor. Sexton said the name Regular Guys wrongly
implied they were like the fans, so they would now be known as the
Technicians. Whatever the name, they’re better off as heels. Heat a plenty.
Hawkins offense was looking crisp. But could he prevail against the well-oiled
chicanery of Team Tech? While Hill distracted the ref, Smith leveled Hawkins
with a lariat on the outside. Sexton dished out punishment. Hawkins hit a
diamond cutter off the top that left both men down. Interference by Smith left
Hawkins straddling the top rope, a sitting duck for Sexton’s lefty lariat.
Hawkins kicked out. Hawkins nailed his springboard back elbow with Sexton in
perfect position to eat it bigtime. But Hill distracted Hawkins, who walked
into Sexton’s jumping big boot. Hawkins kicked out again. Hawkins then took
out Team Todd with a tope. A shaky sequence lead to Hawkins being caught in
the single leg crab. Hawkins made the ropes, but Sexton refused to break the
hold, so Brent Wiley called for the bell.
Sexton and his minions gave Hawkins the beatdown until
Chip Day and Wes Grissom made the save with twin enzuigiris on Team Todd. This
sets up a trios match for the big show.
Salvatore Rinauro and Seth Delay officially reunited,
for the night at least, as G-Rated. This was done via a backstage segment on
the WrestleVision in which Rinauro and Delay playfully ripped several members
of the Anarchy crew, just like they did back in the day. Good times. Rinauro
said they were leaving as the champs.
(2) Devil’s Rejects (Azrael & Shaun Tempers
with Reverend Dan Wilson) beat G-Rated (Sal Rinauro & Seth Delay) to
retain the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Titles in 9:10. Huge pop for G-Rated. Fans
started a “sexy dance†chant and refused to quit until Rinauro did the
swivel hips. They really need to redo the Rejects entrance video to delete
Dominous. Rejects immediately started beating on Delay. Delay got a Kool
comeback with a shoulder mounted sunset flip, a garden variety sunset flip and
stiff kick to the face. Some great looking strikes by the Rejects. Rinauro got
the hot tag and hit a springboard crossbody on Azrael. 4 way action. Rejects
collided. G-Rated hit huracanranas in stereo for double near falls. Sweet.
Tempers went for the Tiger Driver on Rinauro. No go. Delay got the tag.
Missile dropkick on Azrael. Tempers tried to use the Staff of Righteousness.
Referee Ken Wallace cut that off, but in the confusion, Azrael gave Delay a
low blow. Tempers pinned Delay after the Hellhammer.
Greg Hunter introduced the no touch or else showdown
between Nemesis and Slim J. The crowd chanted “Nemesissy†but no Nemesis.
Hunter said the Arena waits. Nemesis appeared at the fron door and sauntered
down the ring with fans heaping verbal abuse on him. The pop for J blew the
roof off as usual. Nemesis tortured J with his taunts. Said the ring was his
freaking jungle and the people were going to be begging for him to “please
stop killin’ our white boy†at Hardcore Hell. Heat off the hook. Hunter
kept trying to give the mic to J, and Nemesis kept pulling it away to talk
more trash. Nemesis pleaded with J to touch him. Nemesis said J had nuthin to
say. J’s answer was to spit a mouthful of water into Nemesis’ face. “In
seven days, I will touch you, Buhhhster.†Crowd went nuts and so did
Nemesis. He roughed Hunter up and got his usual security escort out of the
building. An awesome segment. Great performances by both men.
(3) Iceberg (with The Rev) beat Mikal Judas in 3:04
to earn a heavyweight title shot against Shatter at Hardcore Hell. They
brawled outside the ring for like five minutes. Great stuff. Judas took
command. He turned attention to the Wilson, who cowered on the ramp.
A great first hour. Beautifully constructed. The second
hour was fine, but this one was stacked with starpower.
(4) Truitt Fields beat Don Matthews (with Melissa
Coates & Brodie Chase) to retain the NWA Anarchy TV Title in 9:30. Matthews
came out arm in arm with Coates. Fields jumped out on top. Chase and Coates
started to argue. Chase grabbed Fields by the leg. Fields popped Chase with a
forearm, but the distraction enabled Matthews to knock Fields off the apron
with a running knee. Chase did a number on Fields and rolled him back inside.
Chase started sneaking peeks at Melissa’s booty. Matthews hit the BFK and
was less than a second away from becoming the Anarchy Television Champion.
They traded stiff chops. The crowd got behind Fields. Fields went for a high
crossbody and Matthews converted it into a fallaway slam for a near fall.
Chase kissed Coates. Matthews was beside himself. Fields capitalized on
Matthews’ emotional state with the Killing Fields for the 1-2-3. Matthews
was upset. Chase was upset. Coates walked out on both of them.
Jeff Lewis appeared on the WrestleVision. He was
smoking a big cigar. Lewis said his third reign as television champion was
going to begin at Hardcore Hell. “Your Feature Presentation has left the
building.†We saw Lewis walking out the back door. Fields ran up the ramp.
Meanwhile, Chase and Matthews continued to argue. Chase told Matthews he was
sick and tired of being sick and tired.
(5) Hollywood Brunettes (Andrew Alexander & Kyle
Matthews) vs. Talent & Money (J. T. Talent & Andrew Pendleton III)
ended as a no contest when New Wave and Buck & King hit the ring (4:34). Heel
vs. heel so not much heat. T & M got heat on Matthews. Talent did a
downward spiral and Alexander saved. Crowd started to take sides. Matthews
spoiled Pendleton’s top rope leg drop attempt. Brunettes wanted to set up
the Sheeney Curse but the babyface contingent cleared the ring. King even
tossed ref Jacob Ashworth out. They set up an eight foot ladder. Buck launched
a plancha to the floor off the second rung from the top and bowled over all
four heels.
Hunter announced that the number one contendership
would be decided in a four-way dance ladder match at Hardcore Hell.
On the WrestleVision, the problems between Chase and
Matthews continued backstage. Matthews said Coates was his woman, his Baby
Doll. “I’m smitten like a kitten.†Chase said Coates had Matthews
wrapped around her little finger. Coates showed up. She told Matthews and
Chase to fight it out at Hardcore Hell to get it out of their systems. There
was something about Coates making the match that didn’t work for me. In any
case, the crowd popped when Coates said she would be the special referee.
(6) Jerry Palmer beat Rob Adonis (with Jeremy Vain)
in 15 seconds, so Palmer gets Vain in a bunkhouse match at Hardcore Hell. Monster
pop for the surprise of Palmer representing himself as the mystery opponent to
determine the stipulation. Palmer was true to his word about not being a
wrestler. He clocked Adonis with a gimmick and covered him. The ref was
fooling with Vain and never saw a thing. Adonis was out cold. Palmer
threatened to bust Adonis open with the cow bell, but decided to reserve that
pleasure for Vain at Hardcore Hell.
(7) Shatter (with Attorney Jeff G. Bailey) destroyed
a green jobber guy named T. K. Kross in 2:48. Bailey was salivating over
Shatter physique. I suspect WWE will be doing likewise Monday night. Bums were
chanting “Shatter’s gonna kill you†at Kross. Shatter squashed him like
a bug, drilling him with a spinebuster then planting the gibroni for good with
the PTSD powerbomb. Bailey grabbed the mic and announced Shatter as the
winner.
Bailey proceeded to cut a great promo. Bailey called
Kross boring and booted him out of the ring (there were a few catcalls of
“boring†during the match). Bailey gave Iceberg props for winning the
title shot. He referred to
The Rejects came out and attacked Shatter. Lights
out….
Lights on and Judas was in the ring. Shatter and
Iceberg battled to the back. Judas was going one against three until he was
joined by Awesome Attraction. Judas leveled Tank with the Mafia Kick. The
Rejects retreated. Attraction celebrated with Judas. Cya next week.
The entire card for Hardcore Hell reads: Shatter (c)
vs. Iceberg for the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Title with no DQ, Devil’s
Rejects (c) vs. Awesome Attraction for the NWA Anarchy tag titles. If the
Attraction loses they must split up, Fields (c) vs. Lewis for the NWA Anarchy
TV Title, Palmer vs. Vain in a Bunkhouse Match, Slim J vs. Nemesis grudge
match, New Wave vs. Buck & King vs. Hollywood Brunettes vs. Talent &
Money in four way ladder match, Chase vs. Matthews with Melissa Coates as the
special ref, Tank vs. Judas, and Hawkins & Day & Grissom vs. Sexton
& Technicians.
NOTES: Shatter, Judas and Lewis are booked for the 3/17

Episode 106
March 10, 2008
Congratulations to Steal Domain Wrestling for putting a banging show in
Brookings, SD to a rambunctious sellout crowd of 850. TNA Superstars AJ
Styles, Christian Cage, Abyss, Kip James, Black Machismo, and James Storm made
appearance. Also, former
WRESTLING: (n.) ’res-ling A sport of contest in which two individuals face
off in unarmed combat.
ANARCHY: (n.) an-ar-key (1) A state of lawlessness due to absence of
authority. (2) A complete lack of order.
What happens when you mix the two together? NWA-Anarchy!
- We begin this episode of NWA Anarchy with the beloved owner Jerry Palmer
delivering an honest assessment of Shadow Jackson’s torn Achilles. Palmer
calls Shadow one of the best friend’s a man can have and dedicates
tonight’s television taping to the man himself.
- NWA Anarchy is PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING~! Season’s Beatings 2007 has
concluded and in case you’re living in a time warp, it is available on DVD.
Shadow was injured in a major mishap and NWA Anarchy Owner Jerry Palmer
addressed the situation in the opening segment. Tonight, “The Stray Catâ€
Brody Ray Chase faces the daunting task of wrestling Mikal Judas, and in the
main event NWA Anarchy TV Champion Truitt Fields & Wes Grissom challenge
Jimmy Rave & Todd Sexton.
1. The New Wave (Steven Walters & Derek Driver) defeated the
The New Wave controls the early going using double team maneuvers. The tide
quickly turns when Matthews kicks out of a reverse rolling cradle that send
Walters into a Alexander throat snap on the middle rope. After commercial,
Walters connects with a desperation double DDT. Driver receives the lukewarm
tag and cleans house. The finishing sequence ends when Alexander obliterated
Matthews’s lower extremities and Driver rolling up the A-Lister.
COMMENTS: The New Wave needs more seasoning before receiving a little more
push, but they have improved as a tag team. Hopefully, Matthews’s manhood
didn’t suffer any permanent damage because that kick looked brutal.
- “The Reverend†Dan Wilson is prepared to deliver another sermon to the
multitudes. Patrick Bentley is tonight’s target, “I’m upset with you
because you quit, Rejects don’t quit.†The only solution to understanding
Bentley’s shortcoming is to push another man to the threshold of pain until
he can’t take any more. The secret weapon is Terry “Bam Bam†Gordy’s
Asiatic Spike. Tonight, Bentley shall learn the weapon that will save his
future. Awesome, the ghost of one of the wildest brawlers in professional
wrestling is unleashed upon the NWA Arena.
2. Jesse Emerson pulled off a major league upset by pinning Adam Roberts.
Emerson dominated the contest until he speared the ring post. Roberts began
following the Minnesota Wrecking Crew philosophy with a single arm DDT. The
ending comes when Roberts gets a little too thingyy for his own good and
Emerson rolls him up for the victory.
COMMENTS: Wow now that was out of the proverbial left field. For some reason,
the match itself lulled me to sleep.
- Adam is one pissed off individual because he not only had to wrestle Jesse
Emerson, but he LOST to Jesse Emerson. Roberts is even more pissed off that he
left the leadership to other individuals that lost at Season’s Beatings.
Roberts is extremely pissed that Brandon Phoenix quit. And then there is the
ultimate form of being pissed off, Roberts is soiling and defecating himself
because Don Matthews has fallen in love with an Amazon. That doesn’t sit too
well with Melissa Coates and she decides to pay Mr. Roberts a personal visit.
Coates slaps him after being accused of dressing like a skank. This brings out
Brody Ray who attempts to play the instigator. Chase orders Coates to the back
and that earns him a slap. Then, Chase bumps into Roberts as Coates escapes to
the locker room. If Roberts hadn’t had enough drama, Mikal Judas’s intro
music plays. This definitely isn’t a good night for the Anger Alliance.
Roberts finally calls it a night and allows Chase to become the Unholy One’s
next victim.
3. Mikal Judas pinned Brody Ray Chase.
Chase has no idea who he’s stepping in the ring against. Chase literally
struts his stuff after knocking Judas off his feet with a shoulderblock. Judas
no sells, makes a cut throat slash motion and nails Chase. The ever resilient
Chase fires back and runs into the Yakuza Kick. Judas nimbly mounts the top
turnbuckle and lands a flying clothesline for a near fall. After commercial,
Judas plants Chase with the chokeslam. Judas makes the cover, but Chase places
his foot on the bottom rope to escape. Chase goes for an Ace Crusher, but is
immediately disposed off with an implant DDT. Tonight’s torturous night for
the Anger Alliance finally ends. However, the night is not over for Judas. One
blackout later, Dominous chokeslams Judas. One more blackout later, Judas is
left lying knocked out in the center of the ring.
COMMENTS: The Anger Alliance sure lived a nightmare tonight. A sizable portion
of contest edited out with Chase delivering some offense.
4. Jimmy Rave & Todd Sexton defeated “TV Champion after 725 Triesâ€
Truitt Fields & Wes Grissom via pinfall.
The real estate picks up when Rave delivers a nasty STO to Fields on the ring
apron and Grissom wiping out Rave with a suicide dive. Grissom pounds on Rave,
fights out the rudo’s corner and is unable to make the tag because Fields is
not in the corner. After commercial, Rave & Sexton unleash brutality
personified on Grissom. Fields receives the hot tag and he delivers a pair of
double clothesline. Sexton counters the Killing Fields and Rave connects with
the Shining Wizard for a beautiful near fall. Both teams trade near falls.
Sexton superkicks Fields and Rave spears him. Rave is left befuddled after
Fields kicks out. Rave attempts a top rope double axe-handle, but Fields
catches him with an overhead belly to belly suplex. Grissom and Sexton both
receive tags. Grissom delivers a spinning head scissors, slingshots over the
top rope and lands a dropkick to the gut in the corner. Grissom heads to the
High Rent District for a rent and Sexton deposits him in the corner. Sexton
misses a leaping action kick and Grissom mounts him on the top turnbuckle.
Rave grabs Grissom’s foot and allows Sexton to counter a super rana. Sexton
finishes off Grissom with a top rope action kick. Afterwards, the technicos
are easy picking for the Rejects. Iceberg pancakes Grissom with an ghastly
belly to belly suplex. Somebody please pour some maple syrup with butter on
Grissom because he’s guaranteed to be on IHOP’s breakfast plate. Azreal
& Shaun Tempers deliver the Hellhammer to Fields.
COMMENTS: Good match + good finish + good postmatch = accomplishing the
mission of getting over storylines.
OVERALL: This episode did a good job of interconnecting storylines and
building on what happened at Season’s Beatings.

Great Championship Wrestling had a sell out crowd of
320, yeah that's right 320...that's my story and I'm
sticking to it. Rob Russo who was away for a couple of
weeks since that strange shouting match that he had
with Quentin Michaels a couple weeks ago was back.
Taylor McKnight, my opponent at War Games in a Puppy
vs Kitten Match of Doom. Ok I'm lying there, but
anyways McKnight kicked off the show announcing that
the War Games captains will be named tonight. He then
had the military and former military folks stand up
and take a bow for the service that they gave our
country.
Match #1
Referee Randy Ray
GCW tag team champion J-Rod defeats Michael Cook after
hitting a TKO.
Match #2
Referee Jeff McGowan
The Bruiser has a successful debut by making Jonathan
Davis pass out from the Bear Hug.
Bruiser is a big, powerful brute who isn't going to
win any awards for wrestling.
Match #3
Referee Randy Ray
Orion Bishop w/Wicked Nemesis defeats AJ Steele w/The
Intern after hitting a running powerslam.
The end for Steele came when Wicked and Intern started
to have a fight outside of the ring and both the
referee and Steele got distracted. Enter Johnny
Slaughter who ended up clotheslining Steele which led
to Bishop's victory.
Rob Russo handles the announcing duties for the second
half of the show.
Match #4
Referee Jeff McGowan
"That 80's Guy" John Bogie defeats Amien Rios after
hitting the 80s Sault.
Match #5
Referee Jeff McGowan
Randall Johnson defeats GCW tag team champion
Monroe after blocking
sitting on his chest and holding the ropes for
leverage and getting the 3 count.
A table and two chairs was set up in the middle of the
ring. Taylor McKnight entered and announced that now
was the time for the announcment of the War Games
captains and that the two captains will be signing the
contract for the War Games. He then announced GCW
owner, Diane Hewes.
Out comes Diane who announced that the first captain
is going to be GCW Heavyweight champion, Johnny
Swinger.
Swinger comes out by himself. He says that he is the
one that got Michaels to apologize to Hewes and that
Hewes viciously attacked Michaels. I forgot to mention
in the write up last week that she slapped Michaels
like he owed her money or something. Swinger said that
he and all of his fans are disappointed in Hewes and
he demanded that Hewes apologizes to Michaels.
Out comes Quentin Michaels being pushed in a
wheelchair by Zero Tolerance. It seems to me that
Michaels gets hurt very easily. I mean he's in a
wheelchair after a slap and around a month ago he had
a heart attack and a separated shoulder from J-Rod's
finger of Death and Destruction.
Swinger claims that Michaels has possible nerve damage
in his right leg and brings out a doctor's excuse from
Dr Blaylock saying that he can't compete in tonight's
3 on 2 handicap match. But Swinger did promise that he
got suitable replacements. He then again demand that
Hewes apologize.
Out comes David Young who comes into the ring and
signs the contract, showing that he is the other team
captain. He made fun of Michaels by telling him that
Michaels got injured by a girl.
Michaels, who is a man of the people or so he claims,
named one of Swinger's War Games partners, Zero
Tolerance. Young named two of his partners in his
former Bad Company running mates, Bull Buchanan and
Sonny Siaki. Young says that getting an army together
won't be hard because alot of people hate Swinger. He
then told Michaels that at War Games maybe they'll
have a quick game of kill the cripple.
Match #6
Referee Randy Ray
"The Beach Boy" Scotty Beach defeats Zero Tolerance
w/Ironsides, I mean Quentin Michaels after sneaking in
a sunset roll up after Bull Buchanan came down and
distracted Zero.
Match #7
Referee Jeff McGowan
David Young, Sonny Siaki and Bull Buchanan defeats
Michaels Inc members, GCW Heavyweight champion Johnny
Swinger and Hot Like Lava (Shaun Banks and GCW
Interstate champion Cru Jones) w/Quentin Michaels and
Zero Tolerance after Young nailed Banks with the
spinebuster.
Originally the match was suppose to be Young, Siaki
and Buchanan vs Swinger and Michaels but Michaels had
a doctor's excuse. When the match started Banks and
Siaki had a dance contest. They will not be dancing
professionally anytime soon.
After the match Young got on the mic and said that
today is the first day of the GCW wars and GCW is
winning 1-0.
Also in more news, one of the GCW wrestlers had a
death in the family and got a boatload of money from
the death. Not sure who the wrestler is but the
identity should be revealed in the later weeks. The
Hooligans didn't wrestle for the second week in a row
and I can't wait until they come back.

In front of a very large and energetic crowd, the NWA
Underground would make its return to
for the Total Indy Tag Team Invitation.
After many months away from the Underground, th first
match would see the return of Donnie & Mikey
Benjamin. Known as the Frat House, they would make a
successful first round victory to advance in the
tournament. They would defeat Brandon O’ and Sky King
4.
After this victory, the Hype Jimmy Shalwin would come
to the ring with his newly appointed lawyer Scott
Demotte. The reason Scott was present was because time
after time, according to Shalwin, he has been cheated
out of the NWA Underground Heavy Weight Championship.
With the help of his lawyer, The HYPE would get
himself entered into the tag team tournament with his
new partner Adam Bueller.
The second match of the evening would see Jeff King
taken on All Night Adam Reynolds. This match would
begin as a singles match, but would be interrupted by
Shalwin, and Bueller. They would challenge Reynolds
and King to compete against them in the first round of
the tag team tournament. King and Reynolds would
accept. Bueller and The HYPE would advance to the next
round of the tournament.
The next match would see the Associate Dave Allen team
up with Russ Jones. Jones was accompanied to the ring
by Jenn Toxic. Allen & Jones would advance in the
tournament by defeating Scotty Z and Frankie the Face.
This would lead us into intermission.
Leading out of intermission, we would see the team of
Kenny Kage and Jynx, along with the Luchadores come to
the ring and attacking Seth Magavin after he came to
the ring to talk to them about there tactics at the
last show. Tony X would come to Magavin’s aide to stop
the total beat down.
After the chaos ended, we would see a match for the
continuation of the total indy tag team invitational.
It would see the team of Jake Phaninath and Johnny
Lawless going against Hardcore Harry and his mystery
partner. The mystery partner would turn out to be
Gregory the Gorilla. This would be Gregory’s debut
match with Harry, and his debut match in the NWA
Underground. The match would end in a double DQ, as
the Team of Brutus Dylan and Erico would run in and
attack both teams causing both teams to be eliminated
from the tournament. Now because the winner of that
match would face Erico and Brutus, that leaves them a
bye in the next round.
The next match would see the return of Big Daddy Dean.
He would be taken on White Boy. This would also be the
return to the ring for White Boy as well. White Boy
would defeat Big Daddy. After the match, Big Daddy
would shake hands with White Boy out of a show of
respect. The NWA Underground, has heard from many fans
and wrestlers a like, that they feel this was one of
the matches of the night.
From there, we would see a continuation match for the
Total Indy Tag Team Invitational. It would see Jake
Omen and Jeremy Hadley going against Ryan Epic and
Nick Cutler. Epic and Omen have had a bit of a rivalry
here recently in the NWA Underground. This round would
go to Epic, as Cutler and Epic would defeat Hadley and
Omen to advance in the tournament.
The next match of the evening would see Hebrew Hammer
teaming up with the newly converted Shawn Tyler. Shawn
will no longer go by
now and for ever more be know as Shawn Tylerstein.
Shawn has seen the light as you will, and has
converted to the ways of the Hebrew Hammer. This match
would see them taking on Cameltosis and Jamie Eternal.
They would defeat Cameltosis and Eternal to advance in
the tournament.
The last match of the evening was the 30 Man Battle
Royal. 30 would enter, but one was left. Jake Omen
would win the Royal, and gain the number one contender
ship for the NWA Underground Heavy Weight Championship
with that victory.
Our next show is March 28th, back in
the second round of the Total Indy Tag Team
Invitational.
