Adrenaline Light Heavyweight Division Fight
Aaron Rosa (10-2-0) vs. Ron “Killing” Fields (24-25-1)
Aaron Rosa is quickly becoming a major player in MMA, recently competing in both the Elite XC and Sho XC cards. Prior to suffering his first two career losses, Aaron Rosa was on a ten fight undefeated streak while primarily competing in the Renegades Extreme Fighting promotion. Aaron Rosa is a fighter known for his knockout skills and conditioning as eight of ten career victories have come by knockout or decision. Despite being stamped with a losing record, Ron Fields has competed against the MMA elite like Matt Hughes, Terry Martin, Jeremy Horn, Falaniko Vitale and Dennis Kang. Ron Fields has gained more than half of his victories by submission, but oddly enough, has also suffered nineteen of twenty five losses by submission. Even with the previously mentioned losing record, Ron Fields has fought in the Extreme Challenge, Absolute Fighting Championships and King Of The Cage promotions.
My Prediction: Aaron Rosa
Adrenaline Middleweight Division Fight
Rob Kimmons (20-3-0) vs. Hector Urbina (11-4-0)
Rob Kimmons is becoming a fighter known for not having the longest fights in MMA as eleven of his last thirteen fights haven’t gone past the first round. Rob Kimmons is primarily a submission fighter with a good ground game, with twelve victories coming by submission. The biggest fight of Rob Kimmons career took place in July of 2007, when he lost to UFC veteran Marvin Eastman at an International Fighting Organization event. Like his opponent Rob Kimmons, Hector Urbina is a fighter known for having quick MMA fights, with thirteen of fifteen fights ending by the first round. Unlike Rob Kimmons, Hector Urbina is a fighter known for ending fights by knockout, with five career victories by knockout. Hector Urbina has fought previously in the Elite XC and King Of The Cage promotions, where he fought his last five fights.
My Prediction: Rob Kimmons
Adrenaline Heavyweight Division Fight
Antoine “Herc” Hayes (6-5-0) vs. Kerry “Meat Truck” Schall (21-9-0)
Antoine Hayes is at a crossroads in his career as a win will keep the potential losing record away, while a loss will put him on track for the losing record. Antoine Hayes has already fought former A&E “Inked” reality star Eric Pele and former UFC fighter Jake O’Brien. Antoine Hayes has yet to be submitted in MMA competition, while five career victories have come by knockout and submission. Kerry Schall is one of the best submission fighters competing today, with sixteen career victories coming by submission. Kerry Schall even had a heated rivalry with IFL veteran Ben Rothwell because in both of their fights, Kerry Schall suffered foot and neck injuries. Kerry Schall hasn’t fought in more than a year after competing in the Extreme Challenge event last April, so conditioning could become a factor in this fight.
My Prediction: Kerry Schall
Adrenaline Welterweight Division Fight
Anthony Lapsley (11-3-0) vs. Mark Miller (8-3-0)
In a little bit of interesting MMA history, Anthony Lapsley competed in the first HDNet MMA event, and HDNet is broadcasting the Adrenaline debut show. Anthony Lapsley is becoming a prominent submission fighter in MMA, with eight career victories coming by way of submission. Anthony Lapsley has primarily been featured in the King Of The Cage promotion and has fought UFC and Elite XC veteran Drew Fickett. Mark Miller is a fighter who has been competing in the International Fight League, even challenging Jay Hieron for the IFL Welterweight Title. Like his opponent Anthony Lapsley, Mark Miller is a fighter who is submission based, with four career victories by submission. This will be the first time in nearly two years that Mark Miller has fought outside of the International Fight League.
My Prediction: Mark Miller
Adrenaline Welterweight Division Fight
Tiawon Howard (5-1-0) vs. Rory Markham (13-4-0)
Tiawon Howard is a fighter who in six career fights, has yet to have any fight go to the scorecards and has only been defeated once by submission. Tiawon Howard is currently on a four fight win streak and has been a featured fighter in the North American Amateur Fight Series. Tiawon Howard is a fighter who can use either knockout or submission to achieve victory as two career victories have come by knockout and three by submission. Rory Markham is a fighter who has been featured in the International Fight League since April of 2006 and last fought in December 2007. Rory Markham is a knockout artist who has picked up nine career victories by way of knockout, but has also suffered all four of his career losses by knockout. Rory Markham is a fighter who has yet to have a fight go to decision and at one point in his career, gone on a six fight win streak.
My Prediction: Rory Markham
Adrenaline Welterweight Division Fight
Bart “Bartimus” Palaszewski (28-11-0) vs. Jeff Cox (9-5-0)
Since April of 2006, Bart Palaszewski has been one of the featured fighters for the International Fight League. However, after a three fight IFL losing streak, Bart Palaszewski and the IFL parted ways, which brought him to Adrenaline. Like Jeff Cox, Bart Palaszewski is a fighter who has evenly distributed his knockout and submission victories throughout his career. Jeff Cox is quickly becoming an experienced MMA fighter who has already fought in the Ultimate Fighting Championship and King Of The Cage. Before suffering his first career loss, Jeff Cox did go on a five fight undefeated win streak, that first loss was to UFC star Thiago Alves. Jeff Cox is a fighter who has only had one career fight go to decision, which was a victory over Sean Huffman at a King Of The Cage event.
My Prediction: Bart Palaszewski
Adrenaline Welterweight Division Fight
Tony “The Freak” Fryklund (14-9-0) vs. Brian Gassaway (28-17-2)
Tony Fryklund is a MMA fighter who has been competing in the sport since the time that the UFC was still using the tournament formats. Throughout his career, Tony Fryklund has fought the likes of current UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva, Matt Lindland, David Loiseau, Duane Ludwig and Cung Le. Tony Fryklund is a fighter who has yet to gain victory by decision, only by either submission or knockout, although he has lost by decision. Despite not being a more well known name in MMA, Brian Gassaway has fought in nearly every top MMA promotion like the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Pancrase, World Extreme Cagefighting and King Of The Cage. Brian Gassaway has been using submissions to gain most of his victories, with twelve of his victories coming by submission.
My Prediction: Brian Gassaway
Adrenaline Featherweight Division Fight
Jameel “The Sergeant” Massouh (16-3-0) vs. Clay French (15-2-0)
This fight right here could be the sleeper fight of the night as featherweights Jameel Massouh and Clay French are set to battle. Jameel Massouh is a fighter who has fought in Pancrase, but primarily competes in the Freestyle Combat Challenge and Madtown Throwdown promotions. Prior to suffering his first loss in January 2007, Jameel Massouh went on a seven fight undefeated streak. Jameel Massouh is a fighter who is comfortable keeping the fight standing or on the ground, with thirteen victories coming by knockout and submission. Clay French is a fighter known by most MMA fans for taking on UFC Ultimate Fighter Season 5 winner Mac Danzig for the King Of The Cage promotion. In his career, Clay French has gone on two separate win streaks of seven victories and eight victories each. Along with King Of The Cage, Clay French has also competed in the PRIDE and Extreme Challenge promotions. Clay French is basically a submission fighter, with eight career victories coming by way of submission, including a three fight win by submission streak.
My Prediction: Clay French
Adrenaline Middleweight Division Fight
Daiju Takase (7-11-1) vs. Terry Martin (16-4-0)
Many people look at the record of Daiju Takase and think he has no chance at gaining victory, but some of those seven wins have come over current UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva, former UFC Welterweight Champion Carlos Newton and others. Heading into Adrenaline, Daiju Takase has already fought in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, PRIDE and Pancrase. Daiju Takase has yet to gain victory by knockout, but has gotten his seven wins by submission and decision. Terry Martin is a dominating knockout artist who has achieved ten career victories by knockout, with five submissions. Terry Martin has also fought in top MMA groups like Ultimate Fighting Championship, World Extreme Cagefighting and King Of The Cage. Terry Martin has recently begun a professional boxing career and this is his first MMA fight since starting the boxing career.
My Prediction: Terry Martin
Adrenaline Heavyweight Division Fight
Jason Guida (17-15-0) vs. Mike Russow (9-1-0)
Mike Russow is one victory away from becoming a bigger name in the MMA world, already competing in the PRIDE and Yarennoka organizations. Besides the lone loss, Mike Russow has gone on two separate win streaks containing five victories each time. It has been nearly half a year since Mike Russo last fought, so conditioning could be a factor in this main event fight. Mike Russow is primarily a submission fighter with six career victories coming by submission and two by knockout. Jason Guida became the second headliner of this event when original headliner, Jeff Monson, pulled out of the fight with a hand injury. Jason Guida is the brother of UFC Lightweight Division veteran, Clay “The Carpenter” Guida, who is going to be in his brothers corner for this fight. Jason Guida has fought top MMA fighters like Rory Markham, Thales Leitas, Vernon White, Marvin Eastman and Terry Martin. Jason Guida last fought in March, where he won two fights within a week over Mike Van Meer and Cristano Machado. Like brother Clay Guida, Jason Guida is a excellent submission fighter who has won ten career fights by submission.
My Prediction: Mike Russow
