THE LUCHA REPORT: AAA PRESIDENT HOSPITALIZED, SIVER KING AND MORE

By Kris Zellner on 6/17/2008 11:46 AM

NEWS

AAA President Joaquin Roldan had to be hospitalized after Triplemania due to suffering a deviated septum among other facial injuries after being assaulted by Konnan during the Cibernetico/Zorro main event. Roldan is still in the hospital with many bandages on his face and there is no idea on when he will be released.

Ovaciones confirmed today that Super Calo has left AAA and is going independent with IWRG being a possible landing spot for his services.

Silver King stated today that he has been wanting to wrestle for AAA since they started in 1992 and he finally got his chance on the Triplemania show Friday night although he didn’t come out on top, he made an impression on La Legion Extranjera. SK said that Konnan offered him a spot in La Legion days before Triplemania but he denied his proposal because he wanted to defend his country against the foreign invaders and with the support of WBA/WBC Super Flyweight champ Cristian Mijares he will achieve his goal. SK did say though that he won’t be a regular in AAA until August because he has to complete his bookings in England with Hijo del Santo and his shots for All-Japan but he would back on August 4th where he would form an alliance with La Parka Jr. to take down La Legion.

Whither Abismo Negro is the question right now as rumors are abound on where he will end up as there is talk that Blue Demon Jr. will be announcing his entry into NWA Mexico. There is also talk that Abismo is going to be a secret surprise for EMLL with him starting up there as early as July 8th to continue his feud with Mr. Niebla and there is talk that he could join IWRG with other recent AAA refugees. This will get interesting over the next few weeks.
