“The Phenom” Vitor Belford (16-8-0) vs. Terry Martin (17-4-0)
At one point in his career, Vitor Belfort was considered to be one of the best MMA fighters alive, but after losing the UFC Light Heavyweight Title to Randy Couture at UFC 49, Vitor Belfort has never been the same again. It has been nearly a year since Vitor Belfort last fought, a victory over James Zikic at Cage Rage 23. Outside of a few appearances in Cage Rage and Strike Force, Vitor Belfort fought most of his career in the Ultimate Fighting Championships and PRIDE. In his long career, Vitor Belfort has fought the MMA elite like Randy Couture, Tank Abbot, Wanderlei Silva, Kazushi Sakuraba, Heath Herring, Chuck Liddell, Allistair Overeem and Dan Henderson. Vitor Belfort is widely known for his great striking ability, where ten of his victories have come by knockout. Prior to suffering two straight losses to Chris Leben and Marvin Eastman, Terry Martin was considered to be a rising contender in the UFC Middleweight Division. Prior to suffering his first career loss to James Irvin, Terry Martin won his first ten career fights, with only one fight going the distance. Terry Martin last competed in the debut event for the Adrenaline promotion in June, defeating Daiju Takase by disqualification. Like his opponent Vitor Belfort, Terry Martin is a fighter known for his knockout ability, with ten career victories coming by knockout.

“The Headhunter” Paul Buentello (25-10-0) vs. Aleksander Emelianenko (13-3-0)
It was only a little over two years ago that Paul Buentello was challenging then UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski for the title, but after losing the title fight in eight seconds, Paul Buentello was cut from the UFC. After leaving the UFC, Paul Buentello went on a three fight win streak defeating Tank Abbot, Ruben Villareal and Carter Williams. After his exit from the UFC after UFC 57, Paul Buentello was competing exclusively for the Strike Force promotion. In his long MMA career, Paul Buentello has fought top MMA fighters like Evan Tanner, Dan Severn, Ricco Rodriquez, Justin Eilers and Mike Kyle. Paul Buentello is known as “The Headhunter” for obvious reasons, because he has achieved sixteen career victories by knockout. As many MMA fans already know, Aleksander Emelianenko is the younger brother of top MMA heavyweight fighter Fedor Emelianenko. Aleksander Emelianenko is quickly becoming as good a heavyweight fighter as his older brother, having already competed against Mirko Cro Cop, Assuerio Silva, James Thompson, Josh Barnett, Fabricio Werdum and Eric Pele. Aleksander Emelianenko has fought more than half of his career fights in PRIDE and his Affliction fight will be his first MMA fight in the United States. Like his opponent Paul Buentello, Aleksander Emelianenko is a knockout artist who has achieved seven career victories by knockout.
