NWA Anarchy TV Report by Ca$hFlowX

Episode 129

August 4, 2008

The 68th Annual Sturgis Biker Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota started Monday and continues through Sunday. During the summer in the Dakotas, bikers go buck wild traveling across the state admiring the natural beauty and wide expanses of land that humbles all who pass through. We had so many bikers pass through the last few weeks, it’s ridiculous. If you visit the Dakotas outside the Black Hills, head north on route 1804 and you’re find hundreds of miles of breathtaking views of the Missouri River.

WRESTLING: (n.) ’res-ling A sport of contest in which two individuals face off in unarmed combat.

ANARCHY: (n.) an-ar-key (1) A state of lawlessness due to absence of authority. (2) A complete lack of order.

What happens when you mix the two together? NWA-Anarchy!

- There’s nothing like starting off NWA Anarchy with the Butcher of Pyongyang slaughtering three poor hapless victims in Bo Newsome, Jay Clinton and Andrew Pendleton III (how dare anyone treat Talent & Money like enhancement talent!) In case anyone is interested, Newsome pinned Clinton via corkscrew moonsault.

- Welcome to NWA Anarchy Wrestling, this is PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING~! The opening segment featured footage from a previous TV taping (Fanfest 2008 on May 31) where Jeff G. Bailey unleashes the Korean Assassin upon a trio of hapless denizens. Last week on NWA Anarchy, Chad Parham exercised sweet justice by piledriving Sal Rinauro. Jerry Palmer’s punishment for Rinauro was Seth Delay practicing his barber skills. This week, the Devil’s Rejects without Dan Wilson defend the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Titles against the New Wave, and Shadow Jackson takes on Jay Fury with their respective partners handcuffed at ringside.

1. “The Untouchable” Jeremy Vain & Mr. Rob Adonis defeated Chip “Do or Die” Day & “Todd Sexton’s Little pregnant dog” Wes Grissom.

Jeremy Vain displays his sadomasochistic tendencies by calling out for Mikal Judas. Really, if Vain isn’t careful, Con Edison is going to play head games with him until Judas embarrasses the poor saps. The heels use underhanded double team tactics to maintain the advantage on Grissom. After commercial, Day receives the hot tag and cleans house on Vain. Vain takes serious damage with via Day Ace crusher and a double dropkick. After a Sunset flip goes awry, the babyfaces double dropkick Vain for another two count. Day turnbuckle whips Vain into the corner and the Untouchable flips over to the apron Flair style where Grissom greets him with a friendly sidekick to the temple. Vain scurries to his corner for the tag. Mr. Adonis easily tosses Day aside and catches Grissom in midair for a gorilla press slam. The One Man Insurance Policy finishes off Day with the A-Plex. Vain commands Mr. Adonis to tag him in for the pinfall victory. What a loser. (In a good heelish way.) Afterwards, Adonis hand delivers the mike to Vain. Vain wants the electric company and backstage to flicker the lights so Judas can come out. Vain proclaims he isn’t scared of Judas because he has cashed his insurance policy in twice. According to Vain, all Judas has to do is to beat Mr. Adonis.

2. The Technicians (Bob E & Tyler Smith) w/”the Bald Head Jerk” defeated the Wild Bunch (“Brokeback” Billy Buck & Chris King).

Things go bad for the Wild Bunch when the Technicians use double team shenanigans to work over King. After commercial, King escapes a double suplex to make the hot tag to King. Buck wipes out everyone with elbows including Sexton. This match quickly devolves into a Pier 6 brawl with additional involvement from Sexton. Sexton superkicks Buck straight to Hades behind the referee’s back to help Team Technician snatch the victory. Afterwards, Ace Rockwell saves the Wild Bunch, but takes a beating. Buck recovers from his beating to make the save and allow Rockwell to chase the Bald Head Jerk back to the locker room.

- Greg Hunter heads backstage to air raw footage of the recent Phil Shatter vs. Mikal Judas vs. Iceberg (ch.) for the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Title from Phillips Arena in Atlanta. The match will air in its entirety on next week’s edition of NWA Anarchy.

3. The New Wave (Derek Driver & Steven Walters) defeated the Devil’s Rejects (Shaun Tempers & Azreal) via DQ, so the Rejects retains the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Titles.

With the remaining Rejects in absentia, the New Wave have a great opportunity to capture the tag titles. (During the TV taping, Iceberg, Wilson, Judas, Phil Shatter and Bailey were involved in a triangle match for the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Title at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta.) Early on, the New Wave works over Tempers using double team tactics. Tempers lures Walters into Rejects corner and takes over using the dreaded Mo Howard eyelock. Azreal tags in to clothesline Walters and blasts him with a running knee in the corner. The Rejects continue to work over Walters. Driver receives the hot tag and the New Wave hit the Unskinny Bop on Azreal. Driver makes the cover, but Tempers smashes him with the tag strap for the DQ. The Rejects retreat without their fearless leader. Nice logical finishing sequence with Wilson not in attendance.

4. Shadow Jackson defeated Jay Fury via DQ with Slim and Nemesis handcuffed to the corners.

After brawling at ringside, Nemesis plays psychological games with Shadow. Fury momentarily gains the advantage by distracting the referee to allow Nemesis to physically assault Shadow. Shadow immediately counters by distracting the referee to allow Slim to choke Fury. As Shadow works over Fury, the fans call for Gorillas’ blood. Shadow doesn’t deliver on the fans demand but does second best by kneeing Fury’s fruited plains. After commercial, Johnson accuses Shadow & Slim of practicing unsportsmanlike tactics while praising the Gorillas’ double team tactics. Fury applies a half-crab to Jackson’s once injured leg. After Shadow rises, Nemesis nails him right in front of the referee. This prompts a “Nemesissy” chant. Shadow fights back after eating a dropkick and pounds away on Fury. Well, this poses a problem to the Gorillas and Fury takes advantage when Shadow turns to Nemesis. Fury forearms Shadow’s back and he crashes into the referee. Shadow connects with the 10-31, but the referee is unconscious. Nemesis unlocks his handcuffs and spears Shadow. Slim also escapes, but the Konkrete Gorillas easily outnumber him. Nemesis tapes Shadow to the middle ropes while Fury chokes out Slim with a belt. Shadow is forced to watch as Fury snaps Slim’s neck with the strap. Nemesis ties Slim to the Tree of Woe and holds his feet so Fury can hang him. The locker room and security head out to prevent further carnage. The Gorillas retreat by slithering away like snakes.

OVERALL: This week’s episode started off oddly and finished strongly. Even with tons of tag action, each match had different storylines and finishes: Vain relying on Mr. Adonis to finish off a pair of undercard babyfaces and the Rejects struggling without their beloved leader. Though I may have missed the comments, I can’t recall any mention of why Wilson was absent. Overall, good show that allowed the midcard talent to shine.

NWA SOUTHWEST ANNOUNCES THE RETURN
OF A TERRITORAL STATEWIDE CIRCUIT TODAY!

For Immediate Release - 8-5-08 (12:00 a.m.)

The NWA Southwest (NWA-SW), a 10-year member of the 60-year-old National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) is proud to announce effective August 5, 2008, the addition of three more affiliate members to effectively recreate a state territorial system the NWA once had in effect in Texas from the 1950’s until 1986.

NWA-SW owner Ken Taylor said the territory system operates under the full control of NWA-SW, and consists of four regional areas: Dallas, Houston, Austin, and Amarillo. The promotions involved are NWA-WOW (World of Wrestling of Houston), NWA-PWF (Professional Wrestling Federation of Amarillo), NWA-SWF (Star Wrestling Federation of Dallas), and NWA-ICPW (International Championship Professional Wrestling of Austin).

Taylor said re-storing a territory system returns wrestling to the same concept that flourished from the 50’s to 1986 not only makes NWA-SW a Statewide product again, but the biggest wrestling organization in Texas in the truest sense. He added that the circuit will re-awaken older fans to the familiar NWA brand, and allows younger fans the opportunity to see the NWA operating as a territorial system for the first time.

Texas wrestling fans will now be able to see today’s regional NWA stars frequently, NWA Wrestling Showcases statewide, and NWA sanctioned title matches in their region of the State in the same fashion as the old territory system.

“The Texas Heavyweight, Texas Junior, and Texas Tag Team champions will now be State champions not in name but because they’ll be traveling champions going into other regions of the State defending their belt,” stated Taylor.

In the 1980s, video tape trading and cable television wrestling changed the landscape of professional wrestling and paved the way for the eventual death of the Texas territory business model, but Taylor said what brought the territory to a demise in 1986 will now be what brings it back full circle in 2008 - the power of internet exposure! Fans will now have access to universal storylines unlike the old days. Now, fans in each region of NWA-SW, as well as outside the regions, will now know who is coming far in advance and why, and will want to buy a ticket!

Taylor added everyone will be fully aware of on-going storylines, so when a match is booked in a region, it will be major wrestling happening to that region. “We anticipate NWA Southwest action will impact fans who also reside outside the regions to come to the region closest to them to see title matches, and our NWA Wrestling Showcases featuring such famous and veteran stalwarts as Sid Vicious, Blue Demon, Rob Conway, X-Pac, to name just a few.

Aside from the four regions year round, NWA will have shows taking place this year outside the regions in San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Hidalgo, and Beaumont this year, and possibly more, so literally NWA-SW will be involved all over the State.

“The old guard of promoters did not want over exposure other than their own television production, but when WWF (now WWE) went cable that changed everything forever, and coupled with the emerging internet age and tape sales, the ability to kayfabe was no longer a controlled situation,“ said Taylor. “Times have changed drastically in the way of doing business, which is to communicate effectively between wrestling dates to build up excitement and enhance brand.”

The NWA -SW web site will provide news articles, splashes, red-hot You Tube promos, etc. to become the focal point providing frequent updates and seen worldwide 24/7. Taylor predicts the NWA-SW web site will become a window for other NWA promoters and overseas promoter to view the talent of NWA-SW. He hopes this will lead to bookings opportunities for talents outside Texas and Oklahoma. He sees the return of the territory being popular making NWA-SW the “Center of Texas Wrestling“ nationally and worldwide.

Taylor remarked that the old territory will in principle be the same as the 08’ system so when a title match is booked into a region it will become a major wrestling happening in that region, and each region will get periodic bookings of both NWA Texas and World Heavyweight Champions, who like before traveled defending their title into each region. In the past, fans knew who the World Champ was, but until they actually came into the Texas territory system they were just images in wrestling magazines. The 08’ approach will be doing promos so fans will be well acquainted to all involved in title matches.

NWA promoters realized a Star System approach was the way to go since most promoters produced, aired , and controlled all TV exposure in their market so they effectively built up the bookings of both Texas and World Heavyweight Champions weeks to months in advance making them special events, “ said Taylor. “The old guard was excellent in working the system back then, and it resulted in sell-out shows everywhere especially true in the 60’s and 70’s.”

Taylor remarked that wrestling promotions have their own State, and even World Champions in some cases, which amounts to about a 50-mile radius, and fans outside that market are not involved statewide or nationally and that is where NWA-SW will be different.

NWA-SW affiliates will be allowed in conjunction with the NWA-SW office to book and host Texas champions, and will have access to host World champions on cards. The NWA titles will be the highest belt now in each region although each promotion can maintain existing belts as long as they are not labeled State or World titles to conflict with NWA State and World titles.”

“NWA Southwest has raised the bar higher aspiring both fans and talents to be able to participate in State and World title matches of 60 years legitimacy,” Taylor announced. “No wrestling organization compares to NWA historically.”

Each promotion involved now has been evaluated all year before invitation was extended to insure the stability of the new structure, and that each promotion was already providing consistent family-friendly shows. He added that each region was contracted to abide by rules to insure workability factors, or face termination. Christian based values of good entertainment promoting will be the core product - - no obscenities or extreme hardcore involved.

In every region, NWA shows will be consistently family-friendly entertainment so grand parents to grand children will have no concerns knowing what is expected from a NWA show anywhere they attend,” said Taylor.

Also, Taylor added that NWA Oklahoma, which is an NWA-SW associate member servicing all of Oklahoma - could be involved in intra-state feud.

The Texas circuit is now led by both a new NWA World and NWA Oklahoma champion Brent Albright, and North American Heavyweight champion Mike DiBiase, which means NWA-SW has two of the top five ranked wrestlers in the NWA involved now.

The list impressively continues with 7-time Texas champion and former TNA star Kevin Northcutt, former Texas champ Chaz Taylor, former Oklahoma champ Slam Shady, Devastator, Sicodelico, Jr, Spoiler 2000, Cassandro The Exotic, Justin Lee, Psycho Simpson, Mr. Destiny, Michael Faith, Awesome Andy, Rex Reed, Tim Warcloud, Max Muscles, Texas Regulators, Ben Galvan, Don Juan, Terrible Tim Sweeney, Prince Al Farat, girls Heather Devine, Fair Kitty, Ashley, Claudia del Solis, and some of the best juniors in the State in Cyclone, Cody Jones, Galan Ramirez, Golden Prince, SKAM-13, Eddie Lee, and Brice Payne. Plus, two legendary managers will be involved occasionally - Charming Charles and Baboose.

Also, occasional appearances are planned with former NWA-SW school graduate, former Texas Heavyweight and former North American Tag champion Tejas, and someone retired of considerable note has approached NWA-SW, wanting to un-retire for one final match so his final match be on an NWA show.

NWA Southwest in its decade of contribution to NWA history has been the home base to a World Junior champion, a Women’s World champion, two World Tag Team champions, two North American Heavyweight champions, one North American Tag Team champion, and two National Heavyweight champions.

Taylor said the 2008 NWA-SW roster now is greater than ever before, so more accomplishments are considered doable and expected now, and through 2009. “We will begin the process immediately of positioning the best talent in each region against the best in other regions, and then give all involved a real opportunity to shine and compete for State, National and World levels of competition,” he added.

“The best of the best will become champions, and from there will come opportunities for vie for North American and World gold,” said Taylor. We expect to see National and World belts returning to NWA Southwest again. “

As part of the NWA-SW re-vitalization, Taylor said the internet communication will be second to none via its official web site: http://www.nwa-southwest.com already receiving 600 visitors per day. He predicts that number of visitors to climb to 2,000 daily in coming months when word of mouth spreads further and fans become regular site visitors.

The 08‘ territory will be far different than the old one. The modern version will deliver the same angles and championships to everyone, but now effectively communicated with You Tubes, splash posters, and AP-style written news articles.

NWA-SW affiliates are expected to see attendance increases across the boards, and realize higher levels of fan interest in coming months, which will result in a win, win for everyone. Taylor added that several big event NWA-SW shows should result both inside or outside the regions as sponsors grasp the magnitude, note the popularity, and the value of added markets.

“A web site is a powerful tool executed professionally and correctly as it can build a huge and loyal new generation of fans to NWA, ” Taylor stated. “From the standpoint of communicating we have media technology far superior to anything the old territory had available. Our mission statement is simple - create a new generation of NWA fans in Texas and Oklahoma by creating a total wrestling package. We realize delivering a depth of quality Stars is as important as creating strong media coverage, and we see our talent level arguably close to the old Stars that many will come to realize.”

In addition to the territory restored, NWA-SW will have an annual anniversary style anniversary event every year. Details will be revealed later this year. involved and that information will be released in the Fall. The event will be Mega in scope promotion-wise bringing together all NWA-SW champions along with a few of NWA’s National Showcase touring stars all under one roof.

Awesome night at the WrestlePlex!!! OMG!!! If you missed it, you REALLY MISSED SOMETHING BIG from the opening bell all the way through the main event and beyond!!

The excitement kicked off with Wrestler X and Ion MacGreggor escorting "Sugar Daddy" Ryan Ray to the ring. Ryan said some things, "Yada, yada, yada" then introduced us all to The Master Manipulators (himself, X and Ion).

To prove just how manipulative the trio is, MacGreggor came out of the closet (so to speak) and announced to everyone's amazement that he's actually Bart McClintock!!

As The Master Manipulators, their first opponent was the Southern Pitbull. Talk about clearing a room! As Pitbull approached the ring, Sugar Daddy, Bart a.k.a. Ion and X scattered in three different directions out of the ring. Too funny! Ion's skirt was quite befitting the terrorized little girl look in his eyes!

So, X stepped up (finally) and took on Pitbull. Non~stop schooling from then on as Pitbull gave X a solid education on how to survive a Pitbull attack.

Ion accused Pitbull of everything from biting X to trying to pull off X's mask and even having rabies. At one point, as the ref was counting while Pitbull had X pinned, Ion reached into the ring and grabbed the ref's arm.

Despite Ion's trickery and Sugar Daddy simply being Sugar Daddy (the honest upstanding citizen we all know and love), X just could not fend off the Pitbull. Another lesson learned, eh, X?

The second match had Vash Heartly going up against Brian Blade. Both put up a great fight, but Blade ultimately came out on top.

Next, we were treated to a very heated match between "Sexy" Shawn Sanders and "Beautiful" Brice Payne. What would a Payne match be without the bellerin' of good ole Honest Jack Logan? Unfortunately, trickery won out this time and Payne was victorious.

Shawn Mills and Violent V had a rematch of sorts. The two did battle last weekend after Mills ranted around the ring daring anyone to take him on. V fared much better the second time around. Of course, it is always fun to watch these two in the ring together -- nonstop action and both take their business quite seriously. Following his loss, Mills stomped around the ring like a little kid.

The fourth match was a bit nauseating as we were "treated" to a new collaboration named "Too Much Sexy." Why didn't intermission come AFTER that match so we could all go throw up?!??!!! TMS is made up of "Sensational" Seth Allen, "The Great" Dane Griffin and Maximus McGuirk.

TMS's opponents for the evening were Michael Faith and "Showcase" Shance Williams. Despite McGuirk supposedly out due to an injury, he still managed to get in a few cheap shots on Faith and Williams from outside the ring.

Sadly, the ultra~arrogant ones that are TMS were victorious. It just isn't fair but time will prove just what this trio is made of. Their only true loyalties lie within a mirror so watch your backs!

The main event of the night was absolutely unlike any other that I've ever seen before. Now, granted I've been away from the wonderful world of wrestling for a few years but this was really insane by anyone's standards.

Pretty and Punk took on the New West Texas Outlaws in an all~out street fight. P&P, Cody Jones and "The Hooligan" Austin Riley walked down the fantastic new NWA-SW/PWF ramp armed with a metal trash can filled with goodies that included 2x4s and an orange traffic cone.

NWTO entered with a large cowbell attached to a long lariat (rope) and a wheelchair. Now, I'm thinking is the wheelchair in case someone is hurt so badly he can't walk? Well, imagine my surprise when about half~way through the match Jones is forced into the wheelchair then wheeled up the ramp where the wheelchair was released and went rolling down the ramp only to be clotheslined by a New West Texas Outlaw!

Ok, that explained the wheelchair. Now, for the orange traffic cone. Well, that came in handy when Honest Jack was tired of seeing his boys getting the crap beat out of them and he used it against one of the Outlaws.

Things got so incredibly crazy as each of the fighters were pulling weapons out of seemingly everywhere. Weapons such as a barbed wire wrapped 2x4, chairs and a table and kerosene & a lighter (so not a good combination!)

By the time the final bell rang with NWTO being hailed the winners, each of the four were bleeding from several areas and Honest Jack was having to be helped around due to injuries to his back.

Next week should be just as exciting, if not more so, as the main event will be a four~way battle of the ladies.

Quick results:

1) LTP vs. Chimaera went to time-limit draw in a back and forth match that highlighted LTP's athleticism and Chimaera's aggressiveness. After the match, LTP attempted to show respect by extending his hand to Chimaera, but Chimaera hesitated to shake LTP's hand and vacated the ring.

2) TNT's Gauntlet Challenge: SoCal Crazy defeated "The Professional" Scott Lost (Mystery Opponent) after TNT's interference backfired and SoCal Crazy used a Gory Bomb on Lost for the victory.

3) "SCP Tag Team Championship" Match: The Ballard Brothers (Shane and Shannon Ballard) (c) vs. Cool Imagery (Hector Canales and Ricky Mandel) went to a no decision based upon a double pin from each legal team member pinning the illegal team member from the opposite team. Referee La Zebra was confused on which team to declare the winners and another referee came to ring. The referees could not come to terms on an official decision, so SCP Commissioner Durwood Murray came to the ring and made the decision to hold up the titles. Murray told The Ballards and Cool Imagery that a "Best of Seven" series of matches will begin next month to crown the official and new SCP Tag Team Champions.

4) 2-out-of-3 Falls Match: Tommy Wilson defeated "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce with C. Edward VanderPyle.

1st Fall: In literally 2 minutes into the match, Pearce pinned Wilson via leverage from the ropes.

2nd Fall: Wilson pinned Pearce via rolling through Pearce's crossbody for the pin.

3rd Fall: Wilson won the match via disqualification because Jason Redondo hit the ring and a beatdown on Wilson ensued. Johnny Goodtime entered the ring in order to help Wilson from the beatdown from Pearce, Redondo, and TNT.

5) SCP Heavyweight Championship: "Radiant" Jason Redondo (c) with TNT defeated Johnny Goodtime. As Adam Pearce had distracted Referee Eric, Scott Lost enters the ring and nailed Goodtime with a Diamond Cutter for Redondo to get an easy pin on Goodtime. A beatdown on Goodtime occurred, until SoCal Crazy and Tommy Wilson make the save and clear the ring. SCP Commissioner Durwood Murray came out again and announced the main event match for next month will be SoCal Crazy and Tommy Wilson vs. "Radiant" Jason Redondo with TNT and "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce with C. Edward Vander Pyle.
