- After taking an impromptu hiatus, WWC was back in action last Saturday night
in Fajardo, PR as they held their weekly house show/TV taping. Here are the
match results and some of the happenings from the show:
1. Huracan Castillo defeated El Comandante
2. "Renegados del Infierno" (Hell's Renegades) defeated Thunder & Lightning
3. "Los Adorables" (The Adorables) defeated Manny Magriz & Zafiro in place of
D'Jour Twins. The twins were present but were selling their injuries from a
previous encounter with "Los Adorables".
4. Orlando Colon defeated "King of Old School" Steve Corino after Huracan
Castillo came to the ring and tried to interfere on behalf of Corino. Corino
was holding Colon and Castillo went to hit him with the bell. Colon moved out
of the way and Corino received the shot. After that, Colon superkicked both
Castillo and Corino, thus getting the pin on Corino. After the match Corino and
Castillo were pushing and shoving each other outside of the ring until Ray
Gonzalez came out to calm things down. He reminded them that they now were part
of "La Familia" and they needed to put their differences aside and work as a
team. They shook hands and went to the back.
5. "Hombre de la Mascara" defeated "Texas Outlaw" Todd Dean
During the intermission, Carlos Colon and Victor Jovica came out to announce
that during the event "Septiembre Negro" (Black September) there will be a match
between the two wrestlers that were closest to winning the Universal Title:
Orlando Colon and "Glamour Boy" Shane. They both came out and said it would be
a great match, wished luck to each other, but then Ray Gonzalez came out very
upset because he gave up his opportunity for the title during the Anniversary
show and now was not being considered for the match. Carlos Colon then says
that they will include him in the match and now it will be Orlando Colon vs
Shane vs Ray Gonzalez to crown the new Universal champion. Jovica and Colon
leave the ring. Orlando and Shane are still talking in the ring when out of
nowhere "La Familia" attacks them. A few faces come out but can not stop them,
until "Hombre de la Mascara" came in for the save. Gonzalez then goes to the
locker rooms to look for Castillo to help him. Castillo comes out with the
bell, goes in the ring and turns on "La Familia" as he attacks Corino, Tommy
Diablo and Aquiles. Gonzalez comes in the ring and slaps Castillo in the face
while Castillo smiles and then hits Gonzalez with the bell. castillo grabs the
mic and tells Gonzalez that he accepts he is not a saint, but he just can't
stand in the back while all the abuse is happening.
6. BJ vs Tommy Diablo went to a 30 minute draw.
7. Shane defeated Ray Gonzalez. During the latter part of the match, Corino
comes out to help Gonzalez, but out comes "Hombre de la Mascara" to make the
save; he powerbombs Gonzalez, leaving him ready for Shane's "elbow from the
sky" and the pin. "Hombre de la Mascara" was fighting with Corino outside the
ring while Shane got the win.
- WWC had announced former OVW TV champ Charles "Hammer" Evans for the shows
this past weekend but then pulled him off the cards and announced him for next
weekend. I have not been able to confirm that he will in fact be there this
Saturday night.
- I have been told that Steve Corino is still in the island. He was introduced
during this weekends TV as being a key player in the "La Familia" stable, who's
leader is Ray Gonzalez. No word as to if the original six month deal that was
talked about is still in place or if he will be traveling going forward.
Sources have told me that he has not taken over the booking, although there were
some instances at this past weekend show that would suggest that he is at least
helping them.
- "Glamour Boy" Shane is expected to keep on working with WWC at least until
their "Black September" event. they have announced him as taking part of their
card this Saturday, but with TNA's "No Surrender" PPV being this Sunday in
Canada (he works as ref w/ TNA), it would not surprise me if he actually skips
this show and then comes back for the match at "Black September".

- IWA held their event "Armageddon" this past Saturday in Bayamon, PR. The
following are the results from the show:
1. Alto Honor defeated Doom's Patrol
2. Chicano defeated Kahagas w/ Rico Casanova
3. Bakano & Vengador Boricua defeated Hardam Kadafi & Zaeir Arafat w/ Imam Ali,
thus taking possession of the Puertorican and Harcore titles. After the match,
Bakano was beaten down and lost the Hardcore title back to Zaeir Arafat.
4. "Cruz del Diablo" defeated Heartbreak Express w/ Rico Casanova
5. Chris Joel defeated Miguel Perez
6. "Ravishing" Richard Rondon defeated Superstar Romeo to retain his IWA

by the return of KC James (former ECW James Curtis), used his loaded boot to
prevent that further damage was done after the match was over.
8. Blitz became new IWA Heavyweight champion after defeating Joe Bravo.
9. "Buffalo" Bison Smith defeated Savio Vega in a grudge match. Since Smith
pinned Vega, he will be challenging Vega for the RXW Heavyweight title (RXW is a
company in Panama for which Vega has been the champion for a while now).
- It was announced that they will be returning to Bayamon next Saturday Sept.
13th. As soon as they post any matches for the show, we will bring it to you.
- Another one of IWA's top stars has been heavily rumored to be leaving the
company very soon. We should have more information on this later on. Stay
tuned...

- EWO and its parent company, Wrestlevent Entertainment, have announced that due
to situations beyond their control they were obligated not to run this past
Sunday and will not run this coming Sunday either. They will be returning to
action with a great card on Sunday September 21st. They will also start their
TV show on Caribevision on Sept 21st at 10:30 AM. I had a conversation with
WE's CEO today and will have more details on what the plans are and what has
been happening this past couple of weeks in order to ensure the success of this
new project.
- PRWA has not announced where or if they will be running this weekend. I
should have some more information on Wednesday afternoon and, as always, you
will see it here first, on PWInsiderXtra.com
