At Boiling Point 3, the International Wrestling Cartel was shaken to the
foundations. IWC's promoter Norm Connors has issues keeping him away from the
promotion for several events, and he has chosen IWC founder Bubba the Bulldog
to take his place. Bubba's first orders of business were to fire CJ Sensation,
and change the Jerry Lynn vs. Johnny Gargano IWC Super Indy Title Match to a
three-way dance with the first ever and longest reigning Super Indy Champ,
Super Hentai. Bubba is intent on shaking things up in IWC, and that doesn't
stop with Revengeance 5! Bubba has signed several very unique matches for the
October 11th return to Court Time Sports Center.
JUST ADDED:
Logan Shulo vs. Claudio Castagnoli
After his disappointing loss to "Balls Hot" Troy Lords in an IWC World
Heavyweight Title Tournament qualifying match, Logan Shulo contacted IWC's new
authority figure, Bubba the Bulldog. Bubba had spoken earlier in the evening
about living with no regrets and missed opportunities. Bubba's words resonated
with Logan, and Bubba ended up making a case for Logan to enter the tournament
anyways, with promoter Norm Connors giving him the #16 seed, lowest in the
tournament due to him losing the qualifying match. Logan, although
appreciative of the opportunity he has been given, feels he didn't quite earn
it yet. The young upstart has asked for a match to prepare and prove himself
for the tournament. With Ring of Honor's live events in Florida being
cancelled, "Double C" Claudio Castagnoli had an open contract for Saturday
night... and it has now been filled! Logan's biggest opportunity to date will
be this Saturday night as he takes on the Swiss powerhouse, Claudio
Castagnoli!
IWC Super Indy Title #1 Contender Match
Super Hentai vs. Michael "The Bomber" Facade
It's a sad case, but with so much talent in IWC, there has to be alliances
broken in order to contend for IWC gold. Thus was the case with "DeeeLicious"
Jimmy DeMarco and Mickey Gambino, where Gambino expected Jimmy to lay down for
him, but it ended in a knock-down, drag-out brawl in Court Time Sports Center
to qualify for the IWC Title tournament. And, that will be the case as Michael
"The Bomber" Facade will have to take on his mentor, IWC's first Super Indy
Tournament winner and champion, Super
Hentai! In
recent months, fans have seen these two men aligned against such teams as the
Gambinos. But, when it comes to IWC Super Indy Title belt on the line, there
are no alliances in IWC! On October 11th, only one man will emerge from this
match with a shot at the champion, Johnny Gargano. Will it be the time-tested
veteran and tournament winner
Hentai? Or his young
protege, Facade? With both men already entered into the IWC World Heavyweight
Title tournament a mere short two and a half weeks away, will this have any
implications on the tournament?
"Balls Hot" Troy Lords vs. Shane Taylor w/ J-Rocc
J-Rocc seems to have found himself a new Cleveland monster! This time, it
comes in the form of Shane Taylor. A monster in his own right, Taylor has been
rising up the ranks of the Cleveland wrestling scene, decimating everyone in
his path. With the number 2 seed going to his former associate Raymond Rowe,
IWC promoter Norm Connors offered "The Big Daddy Of Destruction" J-Rocc the
number 15 slot in the IWC World Heavyweight Title Tournament. But, J-Rocc
declined... sort of. Instead of taking the spot himself, he has offered the
spot to his new protege Taylor. Troy Lords is gearing up to enter the
tournament in the #8 spot after qualifying against IWC rookie Logan Shulo.
With both Lords and Taylor in the IWC World Heavyweight Title Tournament, they
need to be careful of every move, not to make a mistake leading into the
tournament!
PLUS, ALREADY ANNOUNCED:
Stevie Richards vs. "Sweet N Sour" Larry Sweeney
The first is a first-time ever match as the ICW/ICWA Tex-Arkana
Television Champion and former 2-time IWC Super Indy Champion "Sweet N Sour"
Larry Sweeney will be taking on a man very familiar in Pittsburgh rings making
his debut for IWC, WWE, WCW, & ECW star and former 2-time ECW & Steel City
Wrestling Tag Team Champion Stevie Richards! This is sure to be an epic battle
between two of the most charismatic stars in all of professional wrestling.
But don't let their antics fool you; both Sweeney and Richards are very
accomplished wrestlers.Sweeney has risen from one of the most hated to one of
the most popular IWC wrestlers in recent history. A win over Stevie would
propel him into the main event scene in IWC, and might even put him in
contention for IWC Heavyweight gold. Stevie is fresh off a 9 year run in WWE,
returning to Pittsburgh, a place he visited frequently during the days of
Steel City Wrestling. What are Stevie's intentions in IWC? Is he here to have
fun, like the Stevie of old? Or does he have his sights set on gold?
IWC Tag Team Title Match:
Sexual Harassment defends against The Best Around
Speaking of IWC gold, Bubba has decided to sign a title match for Revenegance
5!, giving a young team the opportunity of a lifetime. Even though they
haven't been on a hot streak, Bubba is giving TJ Cannon & Bruce Maxwell,
collectively known as The Best Around, a shot at tag team gold. On October
11th, 2008, The Best Around will challenge IWC Tag Team Champions Sexual
Harassment for the titles! Justin Idol & Eric Xtasy have renewed determination
in the ring. In the months leading to their title victory, they were
unstoppable, and it seems that the gold has given them even more drive and
focus. Will TBA score
upset of the year and win the gold? Or can Harassment continue their
incredible title reign?
IWC World Heavyweight Title Tournament Qualifying Match, For the #1 Seed
Dennis Gregory vs. Jimmy Vega$
Bubba is intent on shaking things up in the IWC World Heavyweight Title
Tournament, scheduled for October 25th & 26th at the Steel City Con in
Cheswick, PA. The first man announced for the tournament is the man who was
stripped of the title, and the number 1 seed, Dennis Gregory. However, Bubba
feels that Gregory is unfit to compete in the tournament altogether, and needs
to earn his way in. So for October 11th in Elizabeth at Revengeance 5!, Bubba
has called in a favor from an old friend to take on his other old friend.
Dennis Gregory will take on his old "self-proclaimed" Triple Threat partner
and former IWC Heavyweight Champion Jimmy Vega$... in an IWC World Heavyweight
Title Tournament Qualifying Match! If Vega$ wins, he gains Gregory's #1 seed
in the tournament! Many wrestlers in IWC are not happy with this decision, as
Vega$ has not been a regularly active wrestler in IWC for many years. But
Bubba stands by his decision, claiming that vega$ is a former 2-time IWC
Heavyweight Champion, even with a victory over Gregory for one of his title
reigns. These former partners and enemies will renew their old feud on October
11th as they each vow for the #1 seed in the IWC World Heavyweight Title
Tournament!
By Popular Demand!
"The Baddest Man in IWC" Raymond Rowe vs. "Fabulous" John McChesney
At Boiling Point 3, we saw an epic three-way dance between Raymond Rowe, John
McChesney, and Ricky Reyes to determine the #2 seed in the IWC World
Heavyweight Title Tournament. With Reyes eliminated earlier in the match,
McChesney and Rowe battled it out, much to the delight of the fans. The
first-time ever meeting in IWC was an incredible back and forth contest, with
each and every fan in the building getting behind both Rowe and McChesney.
Rowe was able to pick up the win with his brutal new finishing maneuver, a
full nelson slam onto his knee. After seeing and hearing the crowd reaction
and reading fans reactions to the Rowe/McChesney battle, Bubba arranged for
the two men to meet one more time at Revengeance 5!, this time one-on-one!
Three-Way Dance!
Irish Airborne vs. BabyFace Fire vs. The Gambino Brothers
On October 11th, Jake & Dave Crist, known as the Irish Airborne, will be
making their debut for IWC! The brothers from the midwest have been tearing up
the independent scene for the last few years. The Crist brothers have been
known for their breathtaking tag team matches and incredible technical &
aerial abilities. It just so happens that IWC has their own tag team that
lives up to that description. Former two-time IWC Tag Team Champions BabyFace
Fire are also known for their breathtaking tag team matches, and incredible
technical & aerial abilities. Bubba the Bulldog felt the best team to take on
Irish Airborne in their IWC debut would be the team of Jason Gory & Shiima
Xion! After seeing Irish Airborne vs. BabyFace Fire added to October 11th's
Revengeance 5! card, Mickey & Marshall Gambino went to IWC's new authority
figure, Bubba the Bulldog, with a proposition, and asked to be added to the
match, making it a 3-way dance. Bubba allowed them under the guise that they
have a very special reason to be added, but wont divulge that reason just yet.
Also, Marshall wants some payback against Shiima Xion for getting a pinfall
victory on him, knocking him out of the tournament. Speaking of the
tournament, both Gambino brothers have been uncharacteristically quiet about
the fact that their cousin Jimmy DeMarco & his partner Vendetta have qualified
for the tournament and they haven't. This could be a huge opportunity for the
Airborne to make their impact on IWC their first night in. If they should
score a win over the former tag team champions, that would propel them up the
tag team rankings. What will happen when the Irish Airborne debut against two
top IWC tag teams in the Gambino Brothers and BabyFace Fire at Court Time
Sports Center in Elizabeth, PA on October 11th?!
Plus all your favorite IWC stars, including
"DeeeeeeeLicious" Jimmy DeMarco and much much more!!

IWC MAKES HISTORY WITH IWGP TITLE DEFENSE IN NOVEMBER
For the first time in nearly a decade, the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title will
be defended on American soil! In conjunction with
New Japan Pro Wrestling,
the International Wrestling Cartel will bring you this historic event on
November 8th, 2008 at Court Time Sports Center in Elizabeth, PA! This
prestigious title has never been defended on an independent wrestling event,
and the last time the title was defended in the United States was December
1999 as Jushin "Thunder" Liger regained the title from Juventud Guerrera on
WCW Monday Nitro.
The current champion,
Low Ki, is no stranger to IWC competition. He's a
former IWC Super Indy Champion, and has been to the finals of the IWC Super
Indy Tournament. He has been one of the most popualar performers in IWC each
and every time he steps into the ring. After a knee injury in Japan kept him
out of the ring for the majority of 2008, Ki returned to the Land of the
Rising Sun with a vengeance, capturing the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title from
Tiger Mask IV on September 21st, 2008.
His challenger on November 8th will be none other than former WWE, WCW, and
ECW star
2 Cold Scorpio!
Fans may know Scorpio as a
former WCW Tag Team Champion with his partner, a young Marcus "Buff" Bagwell.
He is a former 4-time ECW Television Champion and former ECW Tag Team Champion
with The Sandman. He is a former 2-time GHC Tag Team Champion for the NOAH
promotion in Japan. And he is a former WWE star known to many as Flash Funk.
However, Scorpio is best known as one of the forefathers of the aerial style
seen all throughout wrestling today. His incredible in-ring style had never
been seen across America before Scorpio stepped in the ring. Anytime you see a
450 Splash and a Tumbleweed (top rope corkscrew legdrop), Scorpio is the man
who brought it to the forefront in professional wrestling, trailblazing a
style used by Junior Heavyweights across the world right now.
This legendary once-in-a-lifetime match will happen ONLY at IWC November Pain
