January 8th: Jerry Lynn sat down for a compelling interview in the last ROH Video Wire at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJ6iYXi_iAY. He talked about a variety of subjects, including losing his confidence, and his love for the wrestling industry. Now on January 16 in Manassas, Lynn will take to the squared circle once more, this time against a man that has many questions to answer. Austin Aries has been eerily silent since Final Battle, and has yet to shed any light on his attack of Tyler Black, speculation of an alliance with arch nemesis, Jimmy Jacobs, or anything else. Now we’ve come to find that he’s signed to face Lynn, who’s on a quest of his own. Will we get any closer to clarity on 1/16?
January 8th: Ring of Honor officials are still receiving no cooperation from Austin Aries when it comes to the World Title Match that he earned by virtue of his win over Tyler Black at Final Battle. The Booking Committee has been trying to secure the championship match for the fans in Edison on January 17. We hope to have an update on this as soon as possible, as neither the ROH Office nor Nigel McGuinness has any clue what Aries is doing.
January 8th: “Sugarfoot†Alex Payne and Silas Young have earned another chance at ROH Pay-Per-View based on their showing at “Rising Aboveâ€. On January 31 in Chicago, they’ll face each other in singles competition.
January 8th: Ring of Honor will return to Detroit, MI on Friday, January 30th for "Motor City Madness 2009". Claudio Castagnoli vs. Brent Albright in a "Special Challenge Match" was made official yesterday. Kevin Steen and El Generico have just found out who they’ll defend the World Tag Team Titles against, and they couldn’t be happier. Stemming off of the attempt to take out Steen’s knee much like they did Mark Briscoe's, Larry Sweeney’s American Wolves have signed the dotted line, and you can bet the fight will be on. “They tried like hell to take me outâ€, said Steen. “And they got a lot closer than I care to admit. In Detroit on the 30th, Generico and I are coming for our receipt.â€
January 8th: Friday morning is your last chance to take advantage of the two current specials running at www.rohwrestling.com. January 8th: Another phone call came into the ROH Offices yesterday from the same person that called before about returning to “where it all beganâ€.
January 8th: Kenny King will not be appearing in Manassas and Edison as advertised. We apologize for any inconvenience. We can announce that King, along with YRR teammate, Chasyn Rance, will appear when ROH returns to Florida in Coral Springs on February 6 and Orlando on February 7!
