By David Tees on 1/15/2009 9:52 AM

UFC Lightweight Division Fight
Dennis Siver (12-6-0) vs. Nate Mohr (8-5-0)

Dennis Siver hasn’t had an excellent run thus far in the UFC, thus far having a record of one win and three losses in four fights. Dennis Siver’s lone UFC victory came over Naoyuki Kotani, while the losses came to Jess Liaudin, Gray Maynard and Melvin Guillard. A few years ago, Dennis Siver was a finalist in the Cage Warriors Fighting Championships Lightweight Tournament, losing to Arni Isaksson in the finals. After losing two straight in the UFC, Dennis Siver got another opportunity in the UFC after defeating Chas Jacquier at Tempel - Mix Fight Gala II. Dennis Siver will be looking to put this fight on the ground, with seven career victories coming by submission. Nate Mohr is currently in the mist of his fourth UFC fight, going one and two in his last three UFC encounters. Nate Mohr holds his single UFC victory over Luke Caudillo, while suffering the losses to Kurt Pellegrino and Manny Gamburyan. Nate Mohr is also a veteran of the Xtreme Fighting Organization, where he has fought a third of his career fights in.. Nate Mohr has also fought current WEC Lightweight Title top contender Donald Cerrone, whom he lost to at Ring Of Fire 21. Nate Mohr will look to use his striking skills to gain the victory, with five prior career victories coming by knockout.

My Prediction: Nate Mohr

UFC Welterweight Division Fight
John “The Hitman” Hathaway (9-0-0) vs. Tom “The Tank” Egan (3-0-0)

John Hathaway is a veteran of the Cage Rage promotion in England, where he holds victories over Charles Barbosa, Tommy McGuire, Tarcio Santana, Marvin Arnold Bleau and Jack Mason. In his last three fights, John Hathaway has ended them all within the opening round, with the longest of those three fights going a little over two minutes. John Hathaway is a fighter who is comfortable with the fight on the ground or on the feet, with seven victories coming by knockout or submission. Tom Egan made his professional MMA debut in 2008, defeating Mindaugus Myle, Arturas Pranckevicius and Jonny Shields. In fact, the first two fights of Tom Egan’s career took place within a week of each other in the first week of March. Tom Egan will be looking to use his striking skills to gain the victory, with two previous victories coming by knockout.

My Prediction: John Hathaway

UFC Light Heavyweight Division Fight
Tomasz “Gorilla” Drwal (14-2-0) vs. Ivan “Ill Terrible” Serati (10-2-0)

Tomasz Drwal made his UFC debut in 2007 at UFC 75: Champion vs. Champion, losing to top ranked fighter Thiago Silva. Prior to the Thiago Silva loss, Tomasz Drwal was on a thirteen fight win streak that lasted over three years. Early in his career, Tomasz Drwal won the Colusseum 3 Light Heavyweight Tournament by defeating Slavomir Zakrzevski, Krysztof Golaszewski and Jacek Buczko. Besides the Thiago Silva loss, the only other loss suffered by Tomasz Drwal was to Ulf Fritzmann at the Fight Club Berlin 3 event. Tomasz Drwal will be looking to use his striking skills to gain the victory, with eight career victories coming by knockout. Ivan Serati is a longtime veteran of both the Cage Rage and Ultimate Warrior Challenge promotions. Early in his MMA career, Ivan Serati took on current Affliction fighter Vitor Belfort at Cage Rage 21 and lost to him by TKO. Ivan Serati is currently on a four fight winning streak, with victories over Lee Hasdell, Roman Webber, Frantisek Smetanka and Claudio da Silva. Ivan Serati will be looking to use his striking skills to gain the victory, with seven previous victories coming by knockout.

My Prediction: Tomasz Drwal

UFC Light Heavyweight Division Fight
Eric “Red” Schafer (10-3-2) vs. Antonio “Samuray” Mendes (15-3-0)

Eric Schafer is in a pivotal fight in his UFC career, having gone two and two thus far in his UFC run, a victory could make him a perennial contender. Thus far in his UFC career, Eric Schafer has defeated Rob MacDonald and Houston Alexander, while losing to Michael Bisping and Stephan Bonnar. After suffering two straight losses in the UFC, Eric Schafer rebounded in the Gladiators Fighting Series promotions with wins over Ryan Antle and William Hill, before returning to the UFC at UFC Ultimate Fight Night 15 and defeating Houston Alexander. Eric Schafer will be looking to put this fight on the ground, with seven career victories coming by submission. Antonio Mendes made his UFC debut at UFC 84 in a loss to Thiago Silva, but was on an eleven fight win streak before that loss. In fact, the previously mentioned eleven fight winning streak by Antonio Mendes last over four years. Prior to coming to the UFC, Antonio Mendes was a veteran of both the Champions Night and Konfroncacja promotions. Antonio Mendes will be looking to use his striking skills to gain the victory, with seven career victory by knockout.

My Prediction: Eric Schafer

UFC Welterweight Division Fight
Martin “Hitman” Kampmann (13-2-0) vs. Alexandre “Baixinho” Barros (13-5-0)

Martin Kampmann was becoming one of the most fierce competitors in the UFC Middleweight Division until a loss to Nate Marquardt at UFC 88 forced Martin Kampmann to change weight classes and move to the UFC Welterweight Division. Besides the Nate Marquardt loss, Martin Kampmann holds UFC victories over Crafton Wallace, Thales Leitas, Drew McFedries and Jorge Rivera. In fact, ten of fifteen fights for Martin Kampmann have ended within the first round, which speaks to his finishing abilities. Martin Kampmann is a fighter who is comfortable wherever the fight ends up, with eleven victories coming by knockout or submission. Alexandre Barros is a very experienced fighter, who previous fought former UFC Welterweight Champion Matt Hughes in May of 2000. Alexandre Barros is currently on a nine fight winning streak that has lasted over four years, with his last loss coming to Ivan Jorge at Meca World Vale Tudo 11. Besides fighting Matt Hughes, Alexandre Barros has also fought UFC veterans Aaron Riley and Dave Strasser a few years back. Alexandre Barros is a fighter known for taking fights the distance, with six victories coming by way of decision.

My Prediction: Martin Kampmann
