Charlie Valencia has had an up and down run in the WEC with victories over Antonio Banuelos and Ian McCall, while suffering losses to Brian Bowles, Yoshihiro Maeda and Dominic Cruz. Charlie Valencia is also a longtime veteran of the King Of The Cage promotion, where he fought former WEC Featherweight Champion Urijah Faber. Charlie Valencia will be looking to put this fight on the ground, with five career victories coming by submission. A victory over Jesse Lennox could easily move Blas Avena into contenders status for the WEC Welterweight Title. Besides competing in the WEC, Blas Avena is also a veteran of the Ultimate Combat Experience promotion, where he defeated Benjamin Garcia and Jake Paul. Jesse Lennox is a top MMA prospect that has competed in the International Fight League, Adrenaline MMA and Mainstream MMA promotions. Jesse Lennox started off his career with a seven fight undefeated streak, with one of those victories coming over UFC veteran Ryan Thomas. Jesse Lennox is currently on a two fight win streak with victories over Justin Wieman and Ryan Williams. Jesse Lennox will be looking to put this fight on the ground, with six prior victories coming by way of submission.

Scott Jorgensen is also a longtime veteran of Sho XC and the Ring Of Fire promotions, where more than half of his career fights occurred in. In an interesting career note, in his last four fights, Scott Jorgensen has taken the fight to a decision and has only lost once in that time. Scott Jorgensen will be looking to put this fight on the ground, with two victories coming by way of submission. Frank Gomez is an undefeated fighter who is making his WEC debut, but is a veteran of the Global Knockout promotion. In his five fight undefeated streak, Frank Gomez has defeated Elbert Randle, Brandon Jinnies, Andy Miranda, Eddie Armandarez and Matt Ott. Dominic Cruz made his WEC debut at WEC 26, losing his WEC debut fight to former WEC Featherweight Champion Urijah Faber. Dominic Cruz rebounded by defeating Charlie Valencia at WEC 34 by unanimous decision, but hasn’t fought in seven months. Besides competing in the WEC, Dominic Cruz is also a longtime veteran of Total Combat and Rage In The Cage. Dominic Cruz will be looking to use his striking skills to gain the victory, with five victories coming by knockout. Ian McCall debuted in the WEC at WEC 30 with a victory over Coty Wheeler, but suffered a loss to Charlie Valencia at WEC 31. Ian McCall started off his MMA career in impressive fashion with a six fight undefeated streak, before suffering the loss to Charlie Valencia at WEC 31.. Ian McCall is also a veteran of the Total Combat promotion, where he holds victories over Chris David and Kevin Dunsmor. Edgar Garcia is an undefeated fighter who is making his WEC debut, having impressively finished five of six fights in the opening round. Edgar Garcia is a veteran of the Total Combat and Desert Rage promotions, where five of his six professional fights occurred in. The only fighter to take Edgar Garcia past the first round was Jeremy Larsen, which happened on the Cage Supremacy 3 event. Hiromitsu Miura returns to the WEC after suffering a loss to current WEC Welterweight Champion Carlos Condit at WEC 35. Besides the loss to Carlos Condit, Hiromitsu Miura lost to Jason Miller at WEC 27, but holds WEC victories over Fernando Gonzales and Blas Avena. Prior to competing in the WEC, Hiromitsu Miura was a veteran of the K-1, DEEP and Pancrase promotions. Ben Henderson will be making his WEC debut at this event, but has defeated UFC veteran Diego Saraiva at Evolution MMA 2. Ben Henderson is also a veteran of the Midwest Championship Fighting and Victory Fighting Championship promotions. After suffering the only loss of his career to Chad Klingensmith at Ring Of Fire 27, Ben Henderson has since been on a six fight winning streak. Ben Henderson will be looking to put this fight on the ground, with five victories coming by way of submission. Anthony Njokuani will also be making his WEC debut in this fight, but is a veteran of the Art Of War, Ultimate Texas Showdown and Ring Of Fire promotions. Prior to suffering his lone career loss to WEC veteran Donald Cerrone, Anthony Njokuani started off his career on a seven fight win streak. Anthony Njokuani is known for finishing fights, with his last four professional fights ending within the first round. Anthony Njokuani will be looking to use his striking skills to gain the victory, with four career victories coming by knockout.
