Nick Catone has twice been scheduled to face UFC Ultimate Fighter 6 champion Amir Sadollah in UFC events, including this one, and twice it has been postponed due to injury. Nick Catone will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but is a longtime veteran of the Ring Of Combat promotion, where four of his previous fights occurred at. Nick Catone has defeated UFC veteran John Howard by unanimous decision in his lone appearance at the Cage Fury Fighting Championships promotion. Nick Catone will be looking to use his striking skills to gain the victory, with three wins coming by knockout. Derek Downey will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but is a longtime veteran of the Ultimate Combat Experience promotion. Derek Downey has also fought top MMA fighters like Josh Burkman and Ed Herman, who are both veterans of the UFC. A victory over Gleison Tibau could easily be Rich Clementi’s ticket to the top of the UFC Lightweight Division. Prior to competing in the UFC, Matt Grice has competed in the Freestyle Cage Fighting and Ultimate Texas Showdown promotions. Matt Grice did start off his career in impressive fashion, with an eight fight undefeated streak before suffering his only career loss to Terry Etim. Matt Grice is a fighter who is comfortable wherever the fight ends up, with six victories coming by knockout or submission. Matt Veach will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but is a veteran of the Iowa Challenge and Extreme Challenge promotions. Matt Veach is an undefeated fighter with ten straight victories, the undefeated streak has lasted over two years. The last two fights for Matt Veach took place within a month, those victories came over Diego Brandao and Alex Carter. Prior to coming to the UFC, Dan Miller fought in the International Fight League, Ring Of Combat, Reality Fighting and Cage Fury Fighting Championships. The lone loss in Dan Millers career came to UFC veteran Mike Massenzio at the Reality Fighting 12 event in April of 2006. Dan Miller will be looking to put this fight on the ground, with six victories coming by way of submission. Jake Rosholt will be making his UFC debut in this fight after coming over from the WEC after the WEC Middleweight Division was abolished. In his lone fight in the WEC, Jake Rosholt defeated Nissen Osterneck by TKO at WEC 36 in November 2008. Rob Emerson is best known by most UFC fans as a cast member of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 5, which was won by Nate Diaz. Since leaving the reality show, Rob Emerson has defeated Keita Nakamura at UFC 81 and Manny Gamburyan at UFC 87, plus one no contest with Gray Maynard at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 5 Finale. Rob Emerson is also a longtime veteran of the King Of The Cage promotion and in international promotions like Shooto and DEEP.
