By David Tees on 2/5/2009 2:17 PM

UFC Welterweight Division Fight
Luigi Fioravanti (14-4-0) vs. Anthony “Rumble” Johnson (6-2-0)

Luigi Fioravanti is a fighter who has come close to breaking through the UFC Welterweight Division, with victories over Solomon Hutcherson, Dave Menne, Luke Cummo and Brodie Farber, but losses to Chris Leben, Jon Fitch, Forrest Petz and Diego Sanchez have set him back. Luigi Fioravanti is also a veteran of the Absolute Fighting Championships promotion, where he defeated Thiago Goncalves, Manuel Garcia and Sean Sallee. Luigi Fioravanti will be looking to use his striking skills to gain the victory, with seven victories coming by knockout. Anthony Johnson has become the breakout star of the UFC Welterweight Division with victories over Chad Reiner, Tommy Speer and Kevin Burns, while suffering losses to Rich Clementi and Kevin Burns. Anthony Johnson is also a veteran of the RMN-MMA promotion, where he defeated Rich Moskowitz and Keith Wilson. Despite competing in five fights thus far in the UFC, Anthony Johnson has yet to win or lose more than one fight in a row. Anthony Johnson will be looking to use his striking skills to gain the win, with four victories coming by knockout.

My Prediction: Anthony Johnson

UFC Lightweight Division Fight
Mac Dazing (18-5-1) vs. Josh “The Dentist” Neer (24-7-1)

Mac Danzig won the UFC Ultimate Fighter 6 by defeating Tommy Speer in the finals, Mac Danzig then went onto defeat Mark Bocek at UFC 83 and then lost to Clay Guida at UFC Ultimate Fight Night 15. Mac Danzig is also a longtime veteran of the King Of The Cage, where in eight fights in the promotion, he only lost once to Clay French at KOTC: Hard Knocks. Mac Danzig also competed in one of the final PRIDE events ever, PRIDE 33, where he lost to Hayato Sakurai by knockout. Mac Danzig will be looking to put this fight on the ground, with ten victories coming by way of submission. Josh Neer is a longtime veteran of the UFC, having defeated Melvin Guillard, Joe Stevenson and Din Thomas, while suffering losses to Drew Fickett, Josh Burkman, Nick Diaz and Nate Diaz. Mac Danzig will be the third UFC Ultimate Fighter winner Josh Neer has fought, with the other two being Joe Stevenson and Nate Diaz. Josh Neer has also spent time in the International Fight League, where he lost to Mark Miller by knockout. Josh Neer is a fighter who is comfortable wherever the fight ends up, with twenty victories coming by knockout and submission.

My Prediction: Josh Neer

UFC Heavyweight Division Fight
Cain Velasquez (4-0-0) vs. Denis “The Menace” Stojnic (5-1-0)

Cain Velasquez made an immediate impact in the UFC by grabbing victories over Brad Morris at UFC 83 and Jake O’Brien at UFC Ultimate Fight Night 14. Prior to coming to the UFC, Cain Velasquez competed in Bodog Fight and Strikeforce, where he defeated Jeremiah Constant and Jesse Fujarczyk. Cain Velasquez has ended all of his fights within the first round, with the longest fight going four minutes, which speaks to his finishing abilities. Cain Velasquez will be looking to use his striking skills to gain the victory, with all four career victories coming by knockout. Denis Stojnic has been competing overseas for the majority of his professional MMA career, mainly in the Obracun Ringu and Shooto Holland promotions. Denis Stojnic is entering this fight on a two fight winning streak, with those two victories coming over Goce Sandovski and Hakim Gouram. It has been over eight months since Denis Stojnic last competed in a professional MMA fight, so conditioning could play a factor in the fight. Denis Stojnic will be looking to use his striking skills to gain the victory, with two victories coming by knockout.

My Prediction: Cain Velasquez

UFC Lightweight Division Fight
Joe “J-Lau” Lauzon (17-4-0) vs. Jeremy “Lil’ Heathen” Stephens (14-3-0)

Joe Lauzon is easily one of the top lightweight fighters in the UFC right now with victories over Jens Pulver, Brandon Melendez, Jason Reinhardt and Kyle Bradley, while suffering his lone UFC loss to Kenny Florian. Besides competing in the UFC, Joe Lauzon fought in promotions like World Fighting League, Absolute Fighting Championships and Combat Zone. In twenty one professional fights, none of the fights for Joe Lauzon have gone to decision, which speaks to his finishing abilities. Joe Lauzon will be looking to put this fight on the ground, with thirteen victories coming by way of submission. Jeremy Stephens is a late replacement for Hermes Franca, who had to pull out of the fight due to a serious injury. Jeremy Stephens has fought five times in the UFC, with victories over Diego Saraiva, Cole Miller and Rafael dos Anjos, while suffering UFC losses to Spencer Fisher and Din Thomas. Jeremy Stephens started off his MMA career in impressive fashion, by fighting four times in less than three months. Jeremy Stephens will be looking to use his striking skills to gain the victory, with ten victories coming by knockout.

My Prediction: Joe Lauzon
