Absimo Negro was found dead in a river on Sunday at the age of 37. Negro, whose real name is Andres Palomque Gonzalez, is believed to have suffered some sort of anxiety attack, forcing a bus driver to let him off near the location where his body was found. Gonzalez is said to have sent a text message to his wife, telling her he was lost, and she in turn notified local promoter Vincente Martinez. Martinez put together a group of people to search for him, and eventually found him buried in mud in a river underneath a bridge. The local coroner, who positively identified the body as that of Gonzalez, suggested the anxiety attack could have been brought on by anabolic steroids he had been taking.
Steve Doll (real name: Steven Dunn), who died at the age of 48 on Sunday, was surrounded by his family. The cause of death appears to be heart and kidney failure. Doll was a former co-holder of the NWA World Tag Team Titles along with Reno Riggins and a native of Hendersonville, TN.

From Larry Goodman: “On the March 18 edition of Peach State Pandemonium, I commented on a report that the attendance figure GWH received for the March 14 AWA Georgia show featuring appearances by Lance Cade and the Mack Brothers was highly inflated. The promotion reported 328 and my source said less it was actually less than 100. YouTube clips from the show provide video evidence that my source was wrong. Congratulations to AWA Georgia on drawing an SRO crowd and my apologies for the inaccurate reporting.â€
