Sam “Hands Of Stone” Stout (13-5-1) vs. “Handsome” Matt Wiman (10-4-0)
Sam Stout is a longtime veteran of both the UFC and TKO promotions, where seventeen of nineteen professional fights for Sam Stout has occurred in. Thus far in the UFC, Sam Stout has defeated Spencer Fisher and Per Eklund, while suffering losses to Kenny Florian, Spencer Fisher, Rich Clementi and Terry Etim. Sam Stout is undefeated in the Canada based TKO promotion with ten victories over the likes of Jay Estrada and Donald Oiumet. Sam Stout will be looking to use his striking skills to gain the victory, with eight wins coming by knockout. Matt Wiman is a longtime veteran of the UFC, with victories over Brian Geraghty, Michihiro Omigawa, Justin Bucholz and Thiago Tavares, with losses coming to Spencer Fisher and Jim Miller. Early in his career, Matt Wiman won the Extreme Fighting League lightweight tournament by defeating Joe Garza, Greg Bossler and Larry Johns. Matt Wiman also began his MMA career in impressive fashion with a five fight undefeated streak that lasted over a year. Ryo “Piranha” Chonan (15-9-0) vs. TJ Grant (13-2-0)
Ryo Chonan debuted in the UFC in 2007, having only one victory in the company over Roan Carneiro, while suffering losses to Karo Parisyan and Brad Blackburn. Prior to coming to the UFC in 2007, Ryo Chonan was a longtime veteran of the DEEP, Pancrase and PRIDE promotions. While in those promotions, Ryo Chonan fought the likes of Hayato Sakurai, Ricardo Almeida, Carlos Newton, Anderson Silva, Roan Carneiro, Phil Baroni, Dan Henderson, Paulo Filho and Joey Villasenor. Ryo Chonan will be looking to use his striking skills to gain the victory, with five wins coming by knockout. TJ Grant will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he is a longtime veteran of the King Of The Cage and TKO promotions. TJ Grant will be entering this fight with a four fight winning streak that included victories over UFC veterans Chad Reiner and Forrest Petz. Mark Bocek has fought half of his professional MMA career fights in the UFC, with his first fight coming in July 2007. Thus far in the UFC, Mark Bocek holds victories over Doug Evans and Alvin Robinson, while suffering losses to Frankie Edgar and Mac Danzig. Mark Bocek is also a veteran of the King Of The Cage promotion, where he defeated John Mahlow and Garret Davis. Of his eight professional fights, only one has gone to a decision, which speaks to Mark Bocek’s finishing abilities. Mark Bocek will be looking to put this fight on the ground, with four victories coming by way of submission. David Bielkheden has fought twice before in the UFC, with a victory coming over Jess Liaudin and a loss coming to Diego Sanchez. Besides competing in the UFC, David Bielkheden has also competed in promotions like PRIDE, Shooto and Cage Warriors Fighting Championships. Early in his career, David Bielkheden defeated former UFC Ultimate Fighter contestant Charles McCarthy in February 2004. David “The Crow” Loiseau (18-8-0) vs. Ed “Short Fuse” Herman (14-7-0)
It has been nearly three years since David Loiseau has fought in the UFC, with his last UFC fight being a unanimous decision loss to Mike Swick at UFC 63. David Loiseau also challenged for the UFC Middleweight Title at UFC 8 in a losing effort to then champion Rich Franklin by unanimous decision after five rounds. David Loiseau also competed in the first ever event for Elite XC, losing to top middleweight fighter Joey Villasenor by unanimous decision. David Loiseau will be looking to use his striking skills to gain the victory, with eleven victories coming by knockout. Ed Herman has had an interesting run in the UFC, following a successful run in the UFC Ultimate Fighter 3. Thus far in the UFC, Ed Herman has defeated Chris Price, Scott Smith and Joe Doerkson, while suffering losses to Kendall Grove, Jason MacDonald, Damien Maia and Alan Belcher. Early in his career, Ed Herman defeated UFC veterans Nick Thompson and former UFC Middleweight Champion Dave Menne. Jason “The Athlete” MacDonald (21-11-0) vs. Nate “Rock” Quarry (10-3-0)
Jason MacDonald made his niche in the UFC as the “TUF killer”, with early UFC victories over UFC Ultimate Fighter alumni Ed Herman, Chris Leben and Rory Singer. In other UFC action, Jason MacDonald also holds victories over Joe Doerkson and Jason Lambert, while suffering losses to Rich Franklin, Yushin Okami, Damien Maia and Wilson Gouveia. Jason MacDonald has had an interesting run in his last seven fights, rotating a win and loss in each of his last seven fights. Jason MacDonald will be looking to put this fight on the ground, with seventeen victories coming by submission. Nate Quarry was part of the very first season of the UFC Ultimate Fighter, which he was eliminated from after an injury. Nate Quarry was also part of UFC history when he became the first UFC Ultimate Fighter alumni to challenge for a UFC title in a loss to then UFC Middleweight Champion Rich Franklin at UFC 56. While in the UFC, Nate Quarry defeated Lodune Sincaid, Shonie Carter, Kalib Starnes and Pete Sell (x2), while suffering losses to Rich Franklin and Damien Maia. Denis Kang is a longtime veteran of international MMA competition, where he fought in promotions like PRIDE, Spirit MC, K-1, Pancrase and DREAM. Denis Kang made his UFC debut at UFC 93 in an upset loss to Alan Belcher via submission in the second round. Denis Kang has also fought top notch competition like Minoru Suzuki, Dennis Hallman, Joe Doerkson, Jason Miller, Andrei Semenov, Mark Weir, Murilo Rua, Gegard Mousasi, Marvin Eastman and Alan Belcher. Denis Kang is a fighter who is comfortable wherever the fight ends up, with twenty seven victories coming by knockout and submission. Xavier Foupa-Pokam has fought the majority of his professional MMA career in international competition, most notably in the DEEP promotion. Xavier Foupa-Pokam will be entering the fight with a seven fight winning streak, with his last loss coming to Murilo Rua in December 2007. Xavier Foupa-Pokam has fought in the Palace Fighting Championships promotion, where he defeated Richard Montoya and Kyacey Uscola. Eliot “The Fire” Marshall (6-1-0) vs. Vinicius “Vinny” Magalhaes (2-3-0)
Eliot Marshall made his UFC debut at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 8 Finale, where he defeated Jules Bruchez by submission. Before coming to the UFC, Eliot Marshall competed in the Ring Of Fire promotion, where all but one of his career fights occurred in. While in Ring Of Fire, Eliot Marshall defeated Jarrett Kelton, Mike Altman, Dan Green, Damir Mihajlovic and Marcus Sursa, while suffering a lone loss to UFC veteran Rob MacDonald. Eliot Marshall will be looking to put this fight on the ground, with five victories coming by way of submission. Vinny Magalhaes made his UFC debut at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 8 Finale, when he lost to Ryan Bader in the reality shows finals. Vinny Magalhaes is a veteran of the MMA Xtreme promotion, where he defeated Adolfo de la Torre and Luis Ojeda. Vinny Magalhaes could be making UFC history in this fight as the only fighter with a losing record to compete in the promotion. Vinny Magalhaes will be looking to put this fight on the ground, with all of his career victories coming by submission.
