NEWS

Lizmark told Diario Record yesterday that he would be retiring from wrestling after 33 glorious years on July 4th at the Luchas 2000 Anniversary show at Arena Coliseo. Lizmark said that the fans made him what he was as they took to him very quickly and with their support he became what he is today. Lizmark said that he is 59-years-old and after heart problems he knows that he can’t compete on a top level anymore which is something he prided himself for and it is troubling. Lizmark said that maybe his only regret in his career was going to AAA but he felt like it was the right thing to do at the time although looking back in retrospect he felt like he disappointed EMLL who made him a star. Lizmark went on to say that like as a wrestler is like being a bullfighter because you enjoy the adjuration of the fans and they motivate you to face your enemies whether it being a bull or another wrestler but now it’s time to say goodbye and thanks the fans for all of their support over the years.
