THIS WEEK IN WRESTLING

Welcome welcome welcome to This Week In Wrestling. In the words of the great Adam Carolla, no choice but to Get It On. Big week in wrestling so let's get to it.
1. Alright, gonna be in the vast minority here. But I enjoyed Jeremy Piven this week. Dr. Ken...not so much. But Piven was great, don't care what anyone says. So what he had the Summerfest goof, least he owned up to it. And what I liked about him was that he seemed a natural doing this. He knew the wrestlers names, took a huge bump, and even turned heel! And he is def not the worst guest host they had, cough ZZ Top. So for all the Piven haters out there, give him a break. He stepped into a new world and did a pretty decent job. I'd be happy to see him return...without Dr. Ken of course.
2. I'm not a big HHH hater, but instances like RAW make me nuts sometimes. He finally does the job, even though it takes two finishers to polish him off. Then he openly mocks Legacy and if the DX-Legacy match at Summerslam isn't a squash, I'll be shocked. But HHH needs to stay away from these kinds of situations, I'm getting horrible flashbacks to him pedigreeing London and Kendrick and then shrugging to the crowd.
3. And what the hell happened with the Miz? Did Cena ruin any chance he had of getting over so much that they had to get him off the brand entirely? So we have a couple options then. Either fire him legit, let him go back to the world of Road Rules Real World challenges. Or move him to Smackdown and have him feud with Morrison perhaps? My honest guess, throw him back on ECW. Kinda want to see a main event feud between him and Christian. Least it would let him make fun of Washington on an everyday basis.
4. Let's jump over to TNA for a second. That riot, actually, made me laugh. I know we were supposed to get some chaos, but there was one shot of Brother Ray repeatedly hitting a table with a chair that had Booker underneath. Don't know why that made me laugh, just did. Woulda liked to see some knockouts in the fracas too, but I like at least that TNA is trying something different with the product.
5. Wanted to take some time to look at the repackaging of a few TNA'ers. First off, I like EY's new look. Not exactly Ringmaster Steve Austin like someone said, but better than he has looked before. Second, the hell was Hernandez swinging a chain for? Actually...Hercules last name was Hernandez. Homage perhaps. And third, "The Pope, D'Angelo Dinero" Oh boy. What was wrong with Elijah Burke? Or just change his last name. Still though, can't wait to see him back in the ring.
6. Alrighty on to Smackdown. Very intruiged with a Punk-Hardy TLC match. When Edge-Cena had theres a while back, I remember thinking beforehand, FU off the ladder onto Edge. Well, here's prediction 2. Punk hits the GTS on Hardy off the ladder through stacked tables for the win.
7. Slam Master Jay.....ah boy. Who'da thunk by the way that Jesse would get a bigger push than Festus. Watch the big corn fed colossus gets future endeavored now.
8. Question. Can anyone explain to me what's going on with Jericho on twitter. I miss a day and he turns into the new Chuck Norris facts. Not saying its bad, its real funny honestly. Just confused how that got started.
9. Want to rant about ECW again for a second. Dreamer is out of the title picture, least in my view. Who fight's Christian for the belt at Summerslam? I say on ECW this week we get a fatal four way between Shelton, Dreamer, Ryder and Regal to determine his opponent. Shelton-Christian is actually a Summerslam worthy match, so let's see if we can get this done.
10. Interesting to see Eugene back with the WWE. Quite curious to see how he debuts. Looks like with the Smackdown brand. Will he still have the green silmed trunks from when Spirit Squad slimed him, or will he actually have some new attire. Well welcome back Mr. Dinsmore, let's see what you can do.
Well that is all for here. Thanks for reading. Any feedback please send to
