Ryan Jensen (13-5-0) vs. Steve “The Hooligan†Steinbeiss (4-2-0)
Ryan Jensen has made three previous appearances in the UFC and has gone winless thus far, suffering losses to Thales Leitas, Damien Maia and Wilson Gouveia. Ryan Jensen is a longtime veteran of the Victory Fighting Championships promotion, where he holds a victory over UFC veteran Rob Kimmons. Ryan Jensen also made a single appearance in the Strikeforce promotion, where he lost to Joey Villasenor in March of 2008. Ryan Jensen is a fighter who is comfortable wherever the fight ends up, with all thirteen victories coming by knockout and submission. This fight will mark the UFC debut of Steve Steinbeiss, who is coming to the promotion after a single appearance in World Extreme Cagefighting. While in the WEC, Steve Steinbeiss lost to UFC veteran Carmelo Marrero by split decision in November 2008. Steve Steinbeiss also spent some time in the Bodog Fight promotion, where he lost to UFC veteran Bill Mahood by unanimous decision. This fight will mark the first time Steve Steinbeiss has competed in professional mixed martial arts in nearly a year, since the loss in the WEC. Steve Steinbeiss will be looking to use his striking skills to gain the victory, with three victories coming by knockout.
My Prediction: Ryan Jensen
