September 28th: Glory By Honor VIII is in the books, and without question, it
was one for the ages! As Ring of Honor said farewell to two of her brightest
stars, one returned! The legendary James E. Cornette made a surprising return to
ROH in New York, officially named Executive Producer earlier that day by ROH
President Cary Silkin. “We couldn’t be happier to have him on board,†said ROH
on HDNet Producer David Lagana. “To have his experience and his knowledge is
immeasurable. Everyone is excited.†Cornette will be on hand when Ring of Honor
and HDNet return to Philadelphia on November 5th and 6th to tape another six
weeks on the best wrestling on television. Check out http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2997

notorious return of20sorts can attest - you never know what might happen at an
ROH live event!
September 28th: Tonight's episode of "Ring of Honor Wrestling" on HDNet

& Jerry Lynn vs. Rhett Titus & Kenny King, Nikki Roxx vs. Sara Del Rey, and

September 28th: As Jack Youngblood’s athletic legend grew from playing Super
Bowl XIV with a broken leg, so grows the legend of Eddie Edwards. Edwards did
the unthinkable on Saturday, taking his place beside Davey Richards and entering
Ladder War II – with a broken arm. And this was no hairline fracture; Edwards
essentially snapped off a huge chunk of his elbow on Friday night in Boston
during his street fight with Kevin Steen. Edwards went to the hospital after the
bout, and ROH officials got the news at 3:30am Saturday morning. Remarkably,
less than 4 hours later, Edwards called again to advise that he would still be
in New York and unbelievably, that he intended on competing in the Ladder War.
And it was Edwards, locking El Generico in the Achilles Lock while both men were
nearly 20 feet up a ladder, which allowed Richards to scale the ladder and earn
the victory for the Wolves. Edwards is scheduled for surgery this Thursday to
have a steel plate and screws inserted into his arm to mend the broken elbow,
and he will miss some action. ROH officials are awaiting the official post-op
prognosis and rehabilitation schedule before deciding what action, if any, is
needed to address the World Tag Team Championship.
September 28th: With Eddie Edwards’ surgery this week, he will be unable to
compete when ROH returns to Collinsville and Indianapolis on October 9th and
10th. The cards for both events will be shuffled accordingly, and we can now
announce the first changes. Davey Richards of the World Champion American Wolves
has now signed to take on Kenny Omega in singles action! This is a huge test for
Omega, as Davey has had a remarkable 2009. His match against Bryan Danielson
from Boston last Friday may well end up the match of the year! Can Omega open
more eyes and shock Richards in suburban St. Louis?
September 28th: The change above left the Young Bucks’ Collinsville contract
open, an opening that was almost immediately signed by Kenny King and Rhett
Titus! “Man, I am sick of hearing about the Young Bucks,†said King. “It’s
time20they get knocked down a peg or two – Rhett and me – we’re the true Up and
Comers.†It’s King and Titus versus the Young Bucks on 10/9! We’ll have more on
the October 9th and 10th cards this week in the Newswire!
September 28th: The psychological war between Eddie Kingston and Chris Hero took
another turn last Saturday night. Kingston was poised to let Hero feel the power
of his own green elbow guard. Shane Hagadorn drew the attention of the referee,
and Hero, once again ahead of the curve, donned a gold elbow guard and beat
Kingston to the punch. Kingston was furious post-match, destroying the ringside
area. We’ll have more on this as it develops.

September 28th: We at20Ring of Honor want to go on record to thank the fans of
Boston, for a record crowd on Friday and an amazing enthusiasm, and the fans of
New York, for helping us sell out and for being unbelievable once again. We
couldn’t have hoped for two better nights with two better crowds. Thank you all
very much! This past weekend was truly special for a variety of reasons, but
mostly so for the wonderful celebration of the ROH careers of Bryan Danielson
and Nigel McGuinness. Although it’s been said, we can’t stress it enough. Thank
you to Bryan and Nigel. For your dedication, your resolve to be great, your
passion, and your unparalleled professionalism. Our locker room is better from
having you both in it, and we know that locker rooms going forward will come to
feel precisely the same. We miss you both already.
