Fabricio Werdum also competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championships, defeating Gabriel Gonzaga and Brandon Vera, while suffering defeats to Andrei Arlovski and Junior Dos Santos. Fabricio Werdum has also spent time in the PRIDE promotion, fighting top MMA fighters like Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Alistair Overeem. Antonio Silva will be competing in the United States for the first time in over a year, following his suspension for a failed drug test. Gegard “The Dreamcatcher†Mousasi (26-2-1) (Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion) vs. Rameau Thierry “The African Assassin†Sokoudjou (7-4-0)
Gegard Mousasi made his Strikeforce debut at Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg, defeating Renato Sobral to win the Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Title. Gegard Mousasi has dominated the DREAM promotion, defeating Denis Kang, Dong Sik Yoon, Melvin Manhoef, Ronaldo Souza and Mark Hunt. Before coming to the Strikeforce organization a few months back, Gegard Mousasi already defeated a Strikeforce veteran in Evangelista Santos. Gegard Mousasi is a fighter who is comfortable wherever the fight ends up, with twenty four victories coming by knockout and submission. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou will be making his Strikeforce debut in this fight, but has fought in top promotions like the UFC and DREAM. While in the UFC, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou has defeated Kazuhiro Nakamura, while suffering defeats to Lyoto Machida and Luis Cane. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou has also recently advanced to the DREAM Super Hulk Tournament finals after defeating Jan Nortje and Bob Sapp. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with six victories coming by knockout.

Outside of competing in MMA fights around the globe, Jason Miller is best known as the host of the MTV program “Bully Beatdown.†Jason Miller is a fighter who has competed in top MMA promotions like DREAM, UFC, World Extreme Cagefighting, Icon Sport and HDNet Fights. Jason Miller has also fought top MMA fighters like Ronaldo Souza, Frank Trigg, Robbie Lawler, Georges St. Pierre, Denis Kang, Chael Sonnen and Tim Kennedy. Jason Miller will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with thirteen victories coming by way of submission. Jake Shields made his Strikeforce debut at Strikeforce: Lawler vs. Shields in June 2009, where he defeated Robbie Lawler by submission. Jake Shields was also the only Elite XC Welterweight Champion, also defeating Renato Verissimo, Mike Pyle, Nick Thompson and Paul Daley. Early in his MMA career, Jake Shields has fought other top MMA fighters like Yushin Okami, Carlos Condit, Dave Menne, Jeremy Jackson and Hayato Sakurai. Fedor Emelianenko is widely considered to be the greatest heavyweight fighter in MMA, having defeated Ricardo Arona, Renato Sobral, Semmy Schilt, Heath Herring, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Gary Goodridge, Yuji Nagata, Mark Coleman, Kevin Randleman, Mirko Cro Cop, Mark Hunt, Matt Lindland, Tim Sylvia and Andrei Arlovski. Despite having competed in over thirty professional fights, this fight against Brett Rogers will mark the first time Fedor Emelianenko has competed inside a cage. Fedor Emelianenko will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with sixteen victories coming by way of submission. Brett Rogers is an undefeated fighter who has yet to have any of his ten professional fights go past the second round. Thus far in his Strikeforce run, Brett Rogers has defeated the duo of Ron Humphrey and Andrei Arlovski, with both fights ending by knockout. Brett Rogers also fought in the now defunct Elite XC promotion, defeating Ralph Kelly, James Thompson and Jon Murphy. Brett Rogers will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with nine victories coming by knockout.
