Fight #1 - WEC Lightweight Division Fight

Kamal Shalorus (4-0-1) vs. Will Kerr (8-1-0)

Referee: Steve Mazzagatti

Round One

The round begins with Kamal Shalorus hitting Will Kerr with a leg kick, Kamal Shalorus then drops Will Kerr with a left hook. Kamal Shalorus then jumps on a downed Will Kerr, Will Kerr uses a leg lock to force a scramble with Kamal Shalorus and they both stand up. Kamal Shalorus then connects with four straight punches to Will Kerr, Kamal Shalorus then drops Will Kerr with an overhand right and referee Steve Mazzagatti is quick to stop the fight.

Fight Result: Kamal Shalorus def. Will Kerr by TKO via strikes (1:26, R1)

Post fight interview with Kamal Shalorus, who says he was thinking seven or eight moves ahead of his opponent and he thanks the American fans for the opportunity to fight.

Round One

The round begins with Danny Castillo hitting Shane Roller with some jabs, Danny Castillo then blocks a Shane Roller takedown attempt. Shane Roller then forces Danny Castillo up against the cage wall, the fighters separate and Danny Castillo scores a takedown on Shane Roller. The fighters quickly stand up and Danny Castillo scores another takedown on Shane Roller, the fighters stand up against and Danny Castillo scores another takedown on Shane Roller. Danny Castillo then moves into the closed guard of Shane Roller, Danny Castillo then hits Shane Roller with ground and pound until the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Danny Castillo forcing Shane Roller up against the cage wall, the fighters separate and Danny Castillo rocks Shane Roller with a right cross. Danny Castillo then scores a takedown on Shane Roller, both fighters immediately stand up and Shane Roller forces Danny Castillo up against the cage wall. Shane Roller then hits Danny Castillo with a knee strike to the face, Shane Roller then scores a takedown on Danny Castillo while getting side control. Shane Roller then locks Danny Castillo in the guillotine choke, Danny Castillo escapes the choke and Shane Roller gets back control. Shane Roller then destroys the ear of Danny Castillo with a ton of rabbit punches, Danny Castillo stands up and slides Shane Roller off of him as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Danny Castillo hitting Shane Roller with a body punch, Danny Castillo then blocks a Shane Roller takedown attempt. Danny Castillo then moves into the guard of Shane Roller, Danny Castillo postures up and jumps back into the guard of Shane Roller. Danny Castillo then transitions to the North/South position on Shane Roller, Danny Castillo then moves into full mount on Shane Roller. Shane Roller uses the scramble to escape Danny Castillo as both fighters stand up, Shane Roller then scores a takedown on Danny Castillo while getting back control. Shane Roller locks Danny Castillo in the guillotine choke and Danny Castillo is forced to tap out.

Fight Result: Shane Roller def. Danny Castillo by submission via guillotine choke (3:32, R3)

Post fight interview with Shane Roller, who says that Danny Castillo was a tough opponent with his amateur wrestling background and he thinks he is a top contender to the WEC Lightweight Title.

Craig Hummer interviews Donald Cerrone, who says that he is training for a “360” fight and has some tricks up his sleeve for his fight with Ed Ratcliff. Craig Hummer interviews Ed Ratcliff, who says he is looking to stand up and fight Donald Cerrone next month.

The round begins with both fighters exchanging a wild series of punches, Rob McCullough then hits Karen Darabedyan with a few leg kicks. The round begins with Leonard Garcia hitting Manny Gamburyan with a leg kick, Leonard Garcia then drops Manny Gamburyan with an uppercut. The fighters stand up and Manny Gamburyan hits Leonard Garcia with a leg kick, Manny Gamburyan then forces Leonard Garcia up against the cage wall. Manny Gamburyan then accidentally hits Leonard Garcia with some groin punches and the fight is briefly halted, the fight resumes with Manny Gamburyan forcing Leonard Garcia up against the cage wall. The referee separates the fighters after inactivity and the fight resumes with Manny Gamburyan hitting Leonard Garcia with a switch kick as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Manny Gamburyan hitting Leonard Garcia with a leg kick, Leonard Garcia then blocks a takedown attempt by Manny Gamburyan. Manny Gamburyan then forces Leonard Garcia up against the cage wall, the fighters separate and both fighters slip after attempting to punch each other. Mike Brown then hits Jose Aldo with a push kick, Jose Aldo then hits Mike Brown with a body kick and knee strike. Mike Brown then forces Jose Aldo up against the cage wall, Jose Aldo then blocks a Mike Brown takedown attempt. Mike Brown then hits Jose Aldo with a knee strike to the body, Mike Brown then hits Jose Aldo with a push kick. Jose Aldo then hits Mike Brown with a flying knee strike to the body as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Jose Aldo dropping Mike Brown with a series of punches, Mike Brown then forces Jose Aldo up against the cage wall. Mike Brown slips and Jose Aldo jumps on him and gets back control, Jose Aldo then starts assaulting Mike Brown with punches until referee Steve Mazzagatti stops the fight.
