WWE - TNA INVASION

Hey everybody, a Happy Thanksgiving to all. I'm thankful for everyone reading these columns and to the site for posting, so to show some appreciation, I wanted to send in something I have been working on for quite some time now. Ladies and gentlemen, prepare for the first ever WWE-TNA Invasion PPV!
Alright, so let's just get this out of the way. I don't think it is going to happen. If TNA dissolved, I don't think the WWE would make a huge spectacle about it. Also, don't take this as me wishing for TNA's demise. The company just put on a sick pay per view, and I hope more like it come soon.
But I have always thought, what happens if lets say next year, Hogan actually does pull TNA up to par with the WWE. Rather than steal wrestlers from each other and pull dumb skits attacking each other wearing Army gear [Ahem DX] or giving out balloons [Ahem Abyss], the two companies work together and put on the be all end all pay per view that each company would then split the profits on. Here we go!
Match 1
Amazing Red vs. Evan Bourne [Ultimate X]
Similar styles for each, and would be an awesome match-up in my eyes. Imagine a shooting star press off the cables by either man? I say Red wins due to Bourne's inexperience in the match. TNA 1 WWE 0
Match 2
Motor City Machine Guns vs. Legacy
Quite intruiged by this first time match up. I think if you can let Legacy loose, they would put on a hell of a match, akin to the Hell in a Cell Pay Per View. And we all know how great the Guns are as a tag team. At the end though, I see Legacy coming out on top. TNA 1 WWE 1
Match 3
Desmond Wolfe vs. CM Punk
Oh I went there. Sure they have fought in ROH in the past, but this would be the first time the two fought with their new companies. Wolfe has made a very impressive showing in the short while he has been in TNA, and I think just being an Internet wrestling writer makes you a CM Punk fan. Show stealer of the night, and I'm giving the slight edge to the straight edge superstar. WWE 2 TNA 1
Match 4
ODB, Kong, Tara vs. Mickie, Melina, Gail Kim
Need the divas match in there, and I think this definitely beats the Lita Trish vs. Stacie Torrie match at the last Invasion PPV. Should be a solid match-up, and I can't see anyway the Knockouts lose this one, especially with Awesome Kong in the mix. WWE 2 TNA 2
Match 5
Abyss vs. Kane [Inferno Match]
Some have said Abyss is modeled after the dead man, but I say he is more modeled after Taker's baby brother Kane. Throw in the inferno match stipulation, and this one should heat up the card [sorry about that pun]. Kane gets the nod, mainly because Abyss is just a glutton for pain it seems to me. WWE 3 TNA 2
Match 6
Eric Young vs. The Miz
Why? Well I figure why not take the two most annoying guys on each company's roster and pit them against each other. Plus the fans need a bathroom break at some point. Let's give this one to EY due to interference from the World Elite. WWE 3 TNA 3
Match 7
AJ Styles vs. John Morrison
AJ made some comments a while back about JoMo stealing some of his moves. Well, time to put up or shut up phenomenal one. This could be a classic and would expand on the Red-Bourne match I threw out earlier. Let's give the nod here to AJ in a real hard fought victory. TNA 4 WWE 3
Match 8
Traitor Battle Royal
Foley, Dinero, Lashley, Team 3D vs. Christian, R Truth, Vance Archer, Jeff Hardy, Marcus Corvon
We have all the guys who jumped from WWE to TNA and everyone who jumped from TNA to the WWE. Obviously Hardy and Corvon are long gone, but there are few TNA leftovers in WWE. TNA pulls this one out thanks to Foley. TNA 5 WWE 3
Match 9
Hernandez vs. Batista
Similar styles for each, think it could make for a solid, heavyweight match up. I'm giving the nod to Rey Mysterio's best friend. TNA 5 WWE 4
Match 10
Daniels vs. Kofi Kingston
Might be jumping the gun on this match-up, but with the streak Kofi is on and the great job Daniels has done getting wrestlers over, I think this could be an awesome match with the former Jamaican coming out on top. TNA 5 WWE 5
Match 11
DX, Cena, Orton, Taker vs. Beer Money, Joe, Angle, Matt Morgan [Survivor Series Style]
Saving the big guns for last, this could be an awesome matchup. Obviously the WWE looks a bit more stacked, but you could have the storyline that Angle has fought all these guys before and knows their strengths and weaknesses. I say it comes down to Angle and Joe against HHH and Cena, with HHH giving Joe the pedigree while trapped in Cena's STF, Angle giving HHH the Angle Slam and pinning him, and Cena giving the Attitude Adjustment to Angle for the win and match for the PPV. Well there we go. Hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Please send feedback to
