Joseph Benavidez started off his MMA career in impressive fashion, with a ten fight undefeated streak that lasted over three years. Joseph Benavidez also spent time in the Palace Fighting Championships, where he defeated Strikeforce veteran Maurice Eazel. Joseph Benavidez will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with six victories coming by way of submission. Rani Yahya has also had a successful run in the WEC, defeating Mark Hominick, Yoshiro Maeda, Eddie Wineland and John Hosman, while suffering a defeat to Chase Beebe. Early in his MMA career, Rani Yahya won the TNT Vale Tudo 2 Tournament by defeating Fabio Alves, Muzila Muzila and Luciano Santos. Rani Yahya will be entering the fight riding a three fight winning streak and hasn’t suffered a defeat in nearly two years. Rani Yahya also competed in the Jungle Fight promotion, where he competed against fellow WEC veteran Fredson Paixao. Prior to entering the WEC in 2009, Anthony Njokuani fought current WEC star Donald Cerrone at a Ring Of Fire event in 2007. Anthony Njokuani was also a veteran of the Ultimate Texas Showdown promotion, where he defeated Devon Miller, Ira Boyd and Steven Bratland. In an interesting career note, Anthony Njokuani fought James Martinez to a no contest at a Venom MMA event following a referee prematurely ended the fight. Anthony Njokuani will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with six victories coming by knockout. Chris Horodecki will be making his WEC debut in this fight, but he is a longtime veteran of the International Fight League. While in the International Fight League, Chris Horodecki defeated Erik Owings, Ed West, Ryan Schultz, Bart Palaszewski, Josh Odom, Shad Lierley and Nate Lamotte, while suffering a lone defeat to Ryan Schultz. Up until the loss to Ryan Schultz in late 2007, Chris Horodecki was on a eleven fight undefeated streak that lasted over two years. Chris Horodecki also spent time in the TKO promotion, where he defeated Stephane Laliberte, Dave Goulet, Dave Pariseau and Mike Bell. Donald Cerrone also had a long run in the Ring Of Fire promotion, where he defeated UFC veteran Nate Mohr, Craig Tennant, Jesse Brock, Ryan Roberts and Anthony Njokuani. Donald Cerrone started off his MMA career in impressive fashion, with a nine fight undefeated streak that lasted over three years. Of his twelve professional MMA fights, only two have gone to a decision for Donald Cerrone, which speaks to his finishing abilities. Donald Cerrone will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with nine victories coming by way of submission. Ed Ratcliff has had a successful run in the WEC, defeating Johnny Sampaio, Alex Karalexis and Phil Cardella, while suffering a lone defeat to Marcus Hicks.
