Alex Crispim (3-2-0) vs. AJ Fonseca (4-1-0)
Alex Crispim does have previous experience in Strikeforce, defeating Clint Coronel at a Strikeforce event in late 2007. Alex Crispim is a veteran of the Gladiator Challenge promotion, where he defeated Lance Wipf and suffered a defeat to Billy Evangelista. It has been nearly a year since Alex Crispim has competed in an MMA fight, so ring rust could become a factor in the fight. Alex Crispim will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with two victories coming by way of submission. AJ Fonseca will be making his Strikeforce debut in this fight, but he is a veteran of the Gladiator Challenge promotion. While in the Gladiator Challenge promotion, AJ Fonseca defeated Stewart Kwong, John Incorvaia and Khomkrit Niimi, while suffering a lone defeat to Shawn Bias. AJ Fonseca will be entering the fight on a four fight winning streak and hasn’t suffered a defeat in over four years. AJ Fonseca will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with two victories coming by way of knockout.
My Prediction: AJ Fonseca
Strikeforce Welterweight Division Fight
Alex Trevino (4-1-0) vs. Bobby Stack (6-1-0)
Alex Trevino has fought the majority of his MMA career in the Strikeforce promotion, defeating Eric Jacob, Gennaro Strangis and Isaiah Hill, while suffering a lone defeat to Rico Altamirano. This fight against Alex Trevino will mark the third fight of 2009 for Alex Trevino and his third fight in four months. Outside of his professional MMA debut in the Cage Combat Fighting Championships promotion, Alex Trevino has fought all of his professional MMA fights in Strikeforce. Alex Trevino will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with two victories coming by way of submission. Bobby Stack is also a veteran of Strikeforce competition, having defeated Jose Palacios and Cyrillo Padilha Neto, while suffering a lone defeat to Isaac De Jesus. Besides competing in the Strikeforce promotion, Bobby Stack has also seen action in the Gladiator Challenge and Cage Combat Fighting Championships promotions. It has been over a year since Bobby Stack last had an MMA fight, so ring rust can become a factor in the fight. Bobby Stack will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with three victories coming by knockout.
My Prediction: Bobby Stack
Strikeforce Lightweight Division Fight
Juan Nunez (1-1-0) vs. Luis Mendoza (0-0-0)
Juan Nunez will be making his Strikeforce debut in this fight, but he already holds a victory over Andy Hauser and has suffered a defeat to Osmar Delima. Juan Nunez will be looking to use his striking skills to gain the victory, with all of his wins coming by knockout. Luis Mendoza will not only be making his Strikeforce debut in this fight, but his professional MMA debut as well. Considering that Luis Mendoza has competed in any amateur MMA fights, his lack of experience could hurt him in this fight.
My Prediction: Juan Nunez
Strikeforce Lightweight Division Fight
Daisuke Nakamura (20-11-0) vs. Justin “The Silverback†Wilcox (7-3-0)
Daisuke is a well traveled MMA veteran who has competed in top notch MMA promotions like Greatest Common Multiple, DREAM, PRIDE and M-1 Challenge. This fight against Justin Wilcox will mark the North American MMA debut of Daisuke Nakamura, who has primarily competed in Japan. It has been less than a month since Daisuke Nakamura last competed in an MMA fight, so conditioning could become a factor in this fight. Daisuke Nakamura will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with twelve previous victories coming by way of submission. Justin Wilcox is a veteran of Strikeforce competition, having defeated David Douglas and suffering a defeat to Mitsuhiro Ishida. Justin Wilcox is a longtime veteran of the Extreme Challenge promotion, where he defeated Bobby Voelker, Bryan Teager, Allan Lee and Todd Murphey, while suffering a lone loss to Dan Hornbuckle. Justin Wilcox will be entering the fight on a two fight winning streak and hasn’t suffered a defeat in over a year. Justin Wilcox is a fighter known for taking fights the distance, with five victories coming by way of decision.
My Prediction: Daisuke Nakamura
Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Division Fight

While in the Vendetta Fighting Championships promotion, Antwain Britt defeat Carmelo Marrera and Richard Hale, while suffering a defeat to Rodney Wallace. Anwain Britt also competed in the lone YAMMA Pit Fighting Tournament, losing to Bryan Vetell in the first round.
