PREVIEWING THE UFC ULTIMATE FIGHT NIGHT 20 PRELIMINARY CARD

Nick “The Jersey Devil” Catone (7-2-0) vs. Jesse “Kid Hercules” Forbes (11-3-0)

Nick Catone has had an unsuccessful run in the UFC, with a victory over Derek Downer, while suffering defeats to Tim Creduer and Mark Munoz. Nick Catone is also a veteran of the Ring Of Combat promotion, where he defeated Dan Whalen, Ben Knight, Mitch Whitesel and Eric Tavares. Nick Catone started off his MMA career in impressive fashion, with a seven fight undefeated streak that lasted nearly two years. Nick Catone is a fighter who is comfortable wherever the fight ends up, with six victories coming by knockout and submission. Jesse Forbes returns to the UFC after a three year absence, since suffering a loss to Matt Hamill at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 3 Finale. Since his exit from the UFC, Jesse Forbes has defeated UFC and Strikeforce veteran Jesse Taylor at a Tuff-N-Uff 2 event in 2007. Jesse Forbes will be entering the fight riding a four fight winning streak, which has currently lasted over a year. UFC Middleweight Division Fight

Gerald “Hurricane” Harris (13-2-0) vs. John Salter (3-0-0)

Gerald Harris will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he is a veteran of the Freestyle Cage Fighting promotion. While in the Freestyle Cage Fighting promotion, Gerald Harris defeated Chester Launcher, Joe Bunch, Robert McDaniel, Travis Fowler and Travis Doerge. Gerald Harris also spent time in the International Fight League, suffering defeats to Fabio Leopoldo and Benji Radach. Gerald Harris is a fighter who is comfortable wherever the fight ends up, with eleven victories coming by knockout and submission. John Salter will also be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he is a veteran of the Adrenaline MMA and King Of The Cage promotions. While in those promotions, John Salter has defeated both Patrick Mandio and Roberto Traven in consecutive fights. John Salter will be entering the fight riding a three fight undefeated streak, which has lasted just under a year. John Salter will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with two victories coming by way of submission.

Kyle Bradley (14-6-0) vs. Rafael Dos Anjos (12-4-0)

Kyle Bradley has had an unsuccessful run in the UFC, defeating Phillipe Nover, while suffering defeats to Chris Lytle and Joe Lauzon. Prior to entering the UFC in 2008, Kyle Bradley had fought UFC/WEC veterans like Melvin Guillard and Jamie Varner in MMA competition. Of his twenty professional MMA fights, only one has gone to a decision for Kyle Bradley, which speaks to his finishing abilities. Kyle Bradley will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with nine victories coming by knockout. Rafael Dos Anjos has also had an unsuccessful run in the UFC, defeating Robert Emerson, while suffering defeats to both Jeremy Stephens and Tyson Griffin. Prior to suffering a loss in his UFC debut, Rafael Dos Anjos was riding a nine fight winning streak that had lasted over two years. Rafael Dos Anjos is a veteran of the Fury FC promotion, where he defeated Danilo Cherman, Gabriel Veiga and Takafumi Otsuka. Rafael Dos Anjos will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with six victories coming by way of submission.

Mike “The Joker” Guymon (11-2-1) vs. Rory “The Waterboy” MacDonald (9-0-0)

Mike Guymon will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he is a longtime veteran of the King Of The Cage promotion. While in King Of The Cage, Mike Guymon defeated Joe Frainee, Ray Pearles, Ken Cadoy, Josh Ramage, Chris Moore, James Fanshier, Anthony Lapsley, Kyacey Uscola and Quinn Mulhern, while suffering a lone defeat to Diego Sanchez. Mike Guymon is a fighter who is comfortable wherever the fight ends up, with eleven victories coming by knockout and submission. Rory MacDonald is an undefeated fighter who will also be making his UFC debut in the fight, but he is a veteran of the King Of The Cage promotion. While in King Of The Cage, Rory MacDonald defeated Ken Tran, Quinton Moreno, Yoon Heo, Kajan Johnson, Clay French, Elmer Waterhen and Nick Hinchliffe. Rory MacDonald will be bringing in a nine fight undefeated streak into the fight, which has lasted over four years. Thiago Tavares (14-3-0) vs. Nik “The Carnie” Lentz (17-3-1)

Thiago Tavares has had a successful run in the UFC, defeating Naoyuki Kotani, Jason Black, Michihiro Omigawa and Manny Gamburyan, while suffering defeats to Tyson Griffin, Matt Wiman and Kurt Pellegrino. Thiago Tavares started off his MMA career in impressive fashion, with an eleven fight undefeated streak that had lasted over three years. Thiago Tavares will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with ten victories coming by way of submission. Nik Lentz made his UFC debut at UFC 103 in September 2009, where he defeated Rafaello Oliveira by unanimous decision. Nik Lentz is a veteran of the Extreme Fighting Xtreme promotion, where he defeated Kenneth Allen, Derek Abram, Chris Powers, Carey Vanier, Vern Jefferson, Duran Barlow and Gabe Wallbridge, while suffering a defeat to Brian Green. Prior to entering the UFC in late 2009, Nik Lentz defeated UFC veteran Drew Fickett at an Extreme Beatdown event in 2009. Rick “The Horror” Story (8-3-0) vs. Jesse “The Ox” Lennox (11-1-0)

Rick Story has had an interesting run in the UFC, defeating Brian Foster and suffering a defeat to John Hathaway. Prior to entering the UFC in mid-2009, Rick Story had already achieved victories over top MMA names like Jake Ellenberger and Brandon Melendez. Rick Story is a veteran of the Elite Warrior Challenge promotion, where he defeated Jake Paul, James Dodge, Ryan Healy and Brandon Melendez. Rick Story is a fighter who is comfortable wherever the fight ends up, with five victories coming by knockout and submission. Jesse Lennox made his UFC debut at UFC 101 in August 2009, where he defeated Danillo Villefort by TKO. Jesse Lennox also fought once in the World Extreme Cagefighting promotion, where he defeated Blas Avena by knockout. Jesse Lennox will be entering the fight riding a four fight winning streak, which has lasted well over a year. Jesse Lennox was also a veteran of the Mainstream MMA promotion, where he defeated UFC veteran Ryan Thomas by submission. Jesse Lennox is a fighter who is comfortable wherever the fight ends up, with eleven victories coming by knockout and submission.

Chris “The Crippler” Leben (18-6-0) vs. Jay Silva (5-2-0)

Chris Leben is a longtime veteran of the UFC, having defeated Jason Thacker, Patrick Cote, Edwin Dewees, Jorge Rivera, Luigi Fioravanti, Jorge Santiago, Terry Martin and Alessio Sakara, while suffering defeats to Anderson Silva, Jason MacDonald, Kalib Starnes, Michael Bisping and Jake Rosholt. In an interesting career note, it has been nearly five years since Chris Leben has had an MMA fight outside of the UFC. Chris Leben will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with ten victories coming by knockout. Jay Silva made his UFC debut at UFC Ultimate Fight Night 19 in September 2009, losing to CB Dollaway by unanimous decision. Prior to entering the UFC in 2009, Jay Silva had defeated Elite XC veteran Ray Lizama at a Called Out MMA event. In an interesting career note for Jay Silva, the only two losses the fighter has suffered in his MMA career have both come by decision. Jay Silva will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with four victories coming by way of knockout.
