Fredson Paixao had a long run in the Jungle Fight promotion, defeating Rani Yahya, Fabio Mello, Jean Robert Monier and Miljan Djurasinovic, while suffering a defeat to Marcos Galvao. It has been nearly three years since Fredson Paixao last attained an MMA victory, with his last one coming over Elite XC veteran Thomas Denny. Fredson Paixao will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with four victories coming by way of submission. Courtney Buck made his WEC debut at WEC 45 in December 2009, suffering a defeat to Brandon Visher. Leonard Garcia also fought in the Ring Of Fire promotion, where he defeated UFC veteran Justin James. George Roop made his WEC debut at WEC 46 in January 2010, suffering a defeat to Eddie Wineland by unanimous decision.
