* UFC Heavyweight Division Fight: Cheick Kongo vs. Paul Buentello

* UFC Middleweight Division Fight: James Irvin vs. Alessio Sakara

Mike Goldberg welcomes the viewers to the event before introducing Joe Rogan, both of them go over tonight’s card.

Fight #1 - UFC Middleweight Division Fight

James Irvin (14-5-0-1NC) vs. Alessio Sakara (18-7-0-1NC)

Referee: Josh Rosenthal

Round One

The round begins with Alessio Sakara hitting James Irvin with a punching combination, Alessio Sakara then hits James Irvin with a leg kick. Alessio Sakara then connects with a punch/leg kick combination on James Irvin, Alessio Sakara then peppers James Irvin with some jabs. Alessio Sakara accidentally pokes James Irvin in the eye during a punch attempt and referee Josh Rosenthal halts the fight, then the fight is stopped after referee Josh Rosenthal informs the fighters that the eye poke was from a legit punch.

Fight Result: Alessio Sakara def. James Irvin by TKO via strikes (3:01, R1)

Joe Rogan interviews Shane Carwin, who says that he was devastated when the title fight with Brock Lesnar fell though and fighting Frank Mir at UFC 111 will be an honor.

Fight #2 - UFC Heavyweight Division Fight

Cheick Kongo (24-6-1) vs. Paul Buentello (25-11-0)

Referee: Herb Dean

Round One

The round begins with Cheick Kongo hitting Paul Buentello with a body kick, Cheick Kongo then scores a takedown on Paul Buentello and gets half guard. Cheick Kongo then hit’s a rising Paul Buentello with a knee strike to the body, Cheick Kongo then gets another takedown on Paul Buentello. Cheick Kongo then hits Paul Buentello with another knee strike to the body, referee Herb Dean halts the fights after Paul Buentello suffers a glove mishap. The fight resumes with Cheick Kongo hitting Paul Buentello with a two punch combination, Cheick Kongo then scores a takedown on Paul Buentello and gets in his half guard. Cheick Kongo then hits Paul Buentello with a knee strike to the body, the referee stands up the fighters after inactivity and Cheick Kongo drops Paul Buentello with a punch as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with both fighters rocking each other with punches, Cheick Kongo then scores a takedown on Paul Buentello. Cheick Kongo then starts hitting Paul Buentello with ground and pound, referee Herb Dean then halts the fight after Cheick Kongo hits Paul Buentello with an illegal knee strike and Cheick Kongo loses a point in the round. The fight resumes with Cheick Kongo putting Paul Buentello back on the ground, Cheick Kongo then hits Paul Buentello with multiple knee strikes to the body. Referee Herb Dean briefly stops the fight after Cheick Kongo nearly hit Paul Buentello with an illegal knee strike, the fight resumes with Paul Buentello hitting Cheick Kongo with a punching combination. Cheick Kongo then scores another takedown on Paul Buentello and gets back control, referee Herb Dean stands up the fighters after inactivity as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Cheick Kongo scoring a takedown on Paul Buentello and gets back control, Cheick Kongo then hits Paul Buentello’s thigh with elbow strikes until the fighter taps out.

Fight Result: Cheick Kongo def. Paul Buentello by submission via strikes (1:16, R3)

Joe Rogan interviews Georges St. Pierre, who says the fight against Dan Hardy will be the toughest of his career and he has a specific strategy for Dan Hardy.

Fight #3 - UFC Heavyweight Division Fight

Junior Dos Santos (10-1-0) vs. Gabriel Gonzaga (11-4-0)

Referee: Josh Rosenthal

Round One

The round begins with Junior Dos Santos hitting Gabriel Gonzaga with a body punch, Gabriel Gonzaga then briefly puts Junior Dos Santos on the ground. Gabriel Gonzaga hits Junior Dos Santos with a leg kick, both fighters then attempt head kicks on each other. Junior Dos Santos then hits Gabriel Gonzaga with two straight rights, Junior Dos Santos then drops Gabriel Gonzaga with a left hook. Junior Dos Santos follows it up by assaulting Gabriel Gonzaga with ground and pound until the referee stops the fight.

Fight Result: Junior Dos Santos def. Gabriel Gonzaga by TKO via strikes (3:53, R1)

Post fight interview with Junior Dos Santos, who says he feels very good with the victory and says he will continue to deliver the good knockouts.

Main Event - UFC Light Heavyweight Division Fight

Brandon Vera (11-4-0) vs. Jon Jones (9-1-0)

Round One

The round begins with Jon Jones scoring a takedown on Brandon Vera and getting in the full guard, the fighters stand up and Jon Jones hits Brandon Vera with a knee strike. Jon Jones then scores another takedown on Brandon Vera and gets in the full guard, Jon Jones then attacks Brandon Vera with ground and pound. Brandon Vera then hits Jon Jones with an illegal strike and referee Herb Dean removes a point from Brandon Vera, the fight resumes with Jon Jones assaulting Brandon Vera with multiple elbow strikes until referee Herb Dean stops the fight.

Fight Result: Jon Jones def. Brandon Vera by TKO via strikes (3:19, R1)

Post fight interview with Jon Jones, who says that he didn’t take Brandon Vera lightly and he trained so hard that he felt it helped him win before the fight started.
