Rousimar Palhares will be entering the fight riding a two fight winning streak that has lasted over a year. Prior to suffering a loss in his UFC debut, Rodney Wallace was riding a nine fight undefeated streak that had lasted under a year. Jared Hamman has also had an unsuccessful run in the UFC, suffering a defeat to Alexander Gustafsson in his UFC debut late last year. Kurt Pellegrino has had a successful run in the UFC, defeating Junior Assuncao, Nate Mohr, Alberto Crane, Thiago Tavares, Robert Emerson and Josh Neer, while suffering defeats to Drew Fickett, Joe Stevenson and Nate Diaz. Kurt Pellegrino made his professional MMA debut in auspicious fashion, defeating UFC veteran Mac Danzig. Kurt Pellegrino will be entering the fight riding a three fight win streak, which has lasted over a full year. Kurt Pellegrino will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with nine victories coming by way of submission. Fabricio Camoes has had an interesting run in the UFC, fighting Caol Uno to a draw at UFC 106 in late 2009. Fabricio Camoes has also fought in the Strikeforce promotion, defeating Torrance Taylor by submission at the first Strikeforce Challengers event. Prior to entering the UFC in late 2009, Fabricio Camoes had already fought UFC veterans Gleison Tibau and Sam Morgan.
