Daniel Cormier is an undefeated fighter who made his professional MMA and Strikeforce debut at Strikeforce Challengers III, defeating Gary Frazier. Daniel Cormier is a former NCAA Amateur Wrestling Champion, so it should be no secret where he wants this fight to go. Daniel Cormier will be looking to use his ground and pound skills to win the fight, with his lone MMA victory coming by TKO. John Devine will be making his Strikeforce debut in this fight, but he is a veteran of the Gladiator Challenge promotion. While in Gladiator Challenge, John Devine defeated Eric Magana, Yohan Banks and Richard Blake, while suffering a defeat to UFC veteran Chase Gormley. John Devine will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with two victories coming by knockout.

Strikeforce Lightweight Division Fight
Ben “The Teacher†Holscher (4-0-0) vs. Alex Trevino (4-1-0)
Ben Holscher is an undefeated fighter who has had a successful run in Strikeforce, defeating both Cody Canterbury and Jonny Goh. Ben Holscher will be entering the fight riding a four fight undefeated streak, which has lasted well over a year. Ben Holscher is a fighter who is comfortable wherever the fight ends up, with two victories coming by knockout and submission. Alex Trevino has had a successful run in Strikeforce, defeating Eric Jacob, Gennaro Strangis and Isaiah Hill, while suffering a defeat to Rico Altamirano. Alex Trevino also competed in the Cage Combat Fighting Championships, winning his lone fight on the promotion over Justin Farmer. Alex Trevino will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with two victories coming by way of submission.
