Lavar Johnson also competed in the World Extreme Cagefighting promotion, defeating Levi Thornbrue, Fred Diaz, Carlos Garcia and Corey Salter, while suffering defeats to Doug Marshall and Brian Olsen. Lavar Johnson returns to MMA action after suffering serious injuries from a shooting during a family event that killed his cousin. Lavar Johnson will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with eleven victories coming by knockout. Lolohea Mahe will be making his Strikeforce debut in this fight, but he is a veteran of the X-1 MMA promotion. While in X-1 MMA, Lolohea Mahe had achieved a victory over Desi Miner and fighting UFC veteran Scott Junk to a draw.
