This weeks episode begins with highlights from last weeks episode, featuring Team Ortiz’s Nick Ring defeating Team Liddell’s Court McGee in a preliminary round fight.
More highlights from last weeks Court McGee vs. Nick Ring fight aired, with comments from the other contestants and coaches.
Court McGee says that he is bummed about the fight, feeling that he had won at least one of the two rounds in the fight. Tito Ortiz meets with his team in the locker room, telling Nick Ring that he has a drill he wants him to run later. Nick Ring has a potentially injured knee, so he meets with the trainer in the locker room after his fight with Court McGee.
Tito Ortiz stands in front of all of the fighters and announces Seth Baczynski (Team Ortiz) vs. Joe Henle (Team Liddell). UFC President Dana White then lets out an admission saying that he doesn’t see how Seth Baczynski could lose the fight. Tito Ortiz also must watch many TV commercials because he quotes that “it’s so easy a caveman can do it.â€
The Team Ortiz training session is shown, which includes various fighters hitting a large tire with a sledgehammer many times. Seth Baczynski states that it is his destiny to be an MMA fighter, Tito Ortiz also praises his fighters attitude towards MMA. Seth Baczynski feels he has been given a second chance and he will do anything to capitalize on the opportunity.
Back at the house, Joe Henle talks about his path to MMA, starting off by wrestling in a gym and now being a professional MMA fighter for the last six months. Back at the gym, Joe Henle walks around the octagon while he speaks about the time he spends teaching children. Joe Henle is then shown training alongside Team Liddell, while coach Howard Davis talks about his MMA skills.
Chuck Liddell then talks about the potential for Joe Henle, while Joe Henle discusses his conditioning for the upcoming fight. A Team Ortiz training session is shown, Nick Rings previously injured knee gets worse as Tito Ortiz calls for a trainer. In the locker room, Nick Ring talks about how unstable his knee is as Tito Ortiz looks at the extent of the injury himself, while saying “can anything else be against me?â€
The fight weigh in takes place next as Joe Henle weighs in at 185lbs. and Seth Baczynski also weighs in at 185lbs. for the fight.
The next Team Ortiz training session takes place, with all the fighters going through a series of exercises before they start sparring. All of the fighters from Team Ortiz that suffered preliminary round defeats discuss why they believe they should get a wildcard spot.
Seth Baczynski and Joe Henle are shown relaxing at the house, both fighters then talk about why they should win the upcoming fight. Seth Baczynski and Joe Henle are shown back at the gym doing their final preparations for their forthcoming battle.
UFC Ultimate Fighter Middleweight Division Preliminary Round Fight
Joe Henle (Professional MMA Record: 3-0-0) (Team Liddell) vs. Seth Baczynski (Professional MMA Record: 11-5-0) (Team Ortiz)
Round One
The round begins with Joe Henle hitting Seth Baczynski with a leg kick, Joe Henle then scores a takedown on Seth Baczynski and nearly gets put in a triangle choke. Joe Henle eventually escapes the submission attempt and winds up in a Seth Baczynski guillotine choke, Joe Henle frees his head and he ends up in the full guard of Seth Baczynski. Joe Henle escapes the full guard and gets the North/South position on Seth Baczynski, Joe Henle then attempts a few chokes on Seth Baczynski. Seth Baczynski uses a scramble to get Joe Henle back into the full guard, Joe Henle escapes and gets back control on Seth Baczynski. Seth Baczynski ends up escaping and gets in the full guard of Joe Henle while hitting him with elbow strikes until the round concludes.
Round Two
The round begins with Joe Henle hitting Seth Baczynski with a body kick, Joe Henle then backs Seth Baczynski into the cage wall while eating a knee strike. Joe Henle scores a takedown on Seth Baczynski and gets the half guard, Joe Henle then gets back control of Seth Baczynski and attempts a guillotine choke. Seth Baczynski uses the cage wall to push off of and escapes the back control of Joe Henle, Joe Henle then finds himself in the guard of Seth Baczynski. Joe Henle scrambles and moves to the half guard of Seth Baczynski, Joe Henle then gets North/South position on Seth Baczynski and nearly secures the anaconda choke. The fighters stand up and Joe Henle gets a weak takedown on Seth Baczynski and gets in the half guard, Joe Henle returns to gaining back control on Seth Baczynski. Seth Baczynski eventually breaks free and locks Joe Henle in the rear naked choke as the round concludes.
UFC President Dana White enters the octagon to announce a sudden victory round because all three judges scored the fight as a draw.
Sudden Victory Round
The round begins with Seth Baczynski charging at Joe Henle and hitting him with multiple strikes, Seth Baczynski scores a takedown on Joe Henle and gets half guard. Seth Baczynski then attacks Joe Henle with a few elbow strikes, Seth Baczynski then attempts a guillotine choke on Joe Henle. Seth Baczynski releases the hold and nails Joe Henle with a few punches, Seth Baczynski moves into the guard of Joe Henle. Seth Baczynski takes the opportunity to attack Joe Henle with several elbow strikes, Seth Baczynski transitions to the half guard of Joe Henle. Seth Baczynski continues assaulting Joe Henle with punches and elbow strikes as the final round concludes.
Fight Result: Seth Baczynski def. Joe Henle by unanimous decision (10-9, 10-9, 10-9)

Team Ortiz celebrates the victory in the locker room, Seth Baczynski credits Joe Henle for being a good fighter and Joe Henle states that he deserves a wild card spot.
Both Team Ortiz and Team Liddell come to the gym and sit on the bleachers, Dana White praises all the fighters efforts before announcing that Kyacey Uscola (Team Ortiz) and Kris McCray (Team Ortiz) get the wild card spots. Dana White then announces that Court McGee (Team Liddell) will replace and injured Rich Attonito in the quarterfinal round.
Joe Henle and James Hammortree discuss why they feel they were not selected for the wild card spots.
