FAR TOO MANY MISTAKES...CAN TNA PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY?
By Todd Oblak on 5/14/2010 12:49 AM
Someone at TNA has to explain to me how you can tape a show and have 9 days
before it airs on TV and still have all the mistakes it
does.....unbelievable.
First, Jeff Hardy comes out on the ramp and says
he can't remember this 8pm start time (or to wear a watch apparently, since it's
9pm) and they don't edit or correct it.
Second, this is the order things
were shown on television:
1. Doug Williams comes out and has a match with
Kendrick.
2. Morgan comes out and gets killed by Joe, then the Band comes out
and wins the titles.
3. Ink Inc is shown in the background talking about the
Band's tag title win while we hear Doug Williams' entrance music and
announcement in the background.
Do they just think the average person
doesn't listen?!?! This is not the first time TNA has shown a pre-taped segment
that you can hear what has already happened going on in the Impact Zone. I
understand needing to get segments taped but at least make sure it's taped in
order....ridiculous.
Third (and this is just funny):
Abyss was
being handcuffed and taken away by the police and they blatantly showed this 3
or 4 times.....he was HOLDING the handcuffs.....yes, he was HOLDING the
handcuffs in his hands....they weren't even trying to hide it.....
I know
this is professional wrestling and sometimes you have to try to suspend
disbelief, but come on....would it have been that difficult to come up with a
better solution than having Abyss hold the handcuffs?!?!
And maybe I
missed something but I had no idea Abyss was in a match against Wolfe with the
ring vs Chelsea as the stipulation....when was that announced?!? No wonder no
one buys your pay-per-views.....I could tell you 3 matches on the show this
Sunday.
RVD vs. Styles for the title
Tara vs. Madison for the title
vs.
career
Kaz vs. Doug Williams for the true X Division champion.
After
watching this week's show, I heard Jarrett vs. Sting officially announced (maybe
it was announced before, but I don't remember hearing it) however neither of
them showed up to add some detail to the chaotic mess that was the final angle
on last week's show.....how are we supposed to care about the match if neither
of the participants are even on the "go home" show?!? And I heard Ink Inc. vs.
the Band now is a match on the PPV, apparently. So Morgan got destroyed by Joe,
loses the tag titles and is now off the PPV? Did he piss someone
off?
Right at the end of this week's show I remembered Anderson vs. Hardy
from last week (good buildup for a PPV match, 2 whole weeks.....sad and
disappointing). I also found out about Wolfe vs. Abyss, Beer Money/MCMG/3D for
#1 contendership & Terry vs. Jordan for the Global title. I did not know any
of those 3 matches were happening at the PPV.
I don't mean to beat a dead
horse here, but please tell me what is the point of a #1 contenders match in
TNA? Ink Inc formed last week because they both got screwed by Matt Morgan and
were going to have a grudge match.....but now that got turned into a tag title
match with the Band and their whole grudge with Morgan went down the tubes. So
why are Beer Money/MCMG/3D fighting on Sunday?
If we're talking about #1
contenders, can anyone tell me what happened to Amazing Red? He lost the title
to Doug Williams and has been gone since.....how about Kiyoshi? I heard he was
going to be the new Suicide but haven't heard anything about that in a
while....where was Jay Lethal this week? They spent time on him last week but
no appearance tonight?!? I guess it's ok if we don't get to see guys like Red,
Kiyoshi, Homicide, Stevie, Magnus, Raven, or Rhino.....because we got Hogan in 4
segments! If you didn't read it properly, make sure you picked up on the
sarcasm oozing from that last statement...
So TNA, I'm begging you to
please pay attention and make smart decisions.....this show has SO MUCH
POTENTIAL and is making SO MANY MISTAKES!!!! People don't want 90s stars
headlining a show in 2010.....this is NOT the Surreal Life and while one-off
appearances by legends are fine, a banged up 50 year old Kevin Nash & 51
year old Scott Hall as tag team champions is about as ludicrous as hiring the
Nasty Boys in 2010.....oh wait, they did that too!!!!
This is a
pro-wrestling show that is supposed to be packed with (eh-hem) Total Nonstop
Action! Please tell me who wants to see a 56 year old Hulk Hogan beat up a 33
year old Ken Anderson with one big roundhouse "magic" punch?!? Even 5 year olds
are screaming "this is stupid, I would rather watch the Kardashians!"Â Call us
(the IWC, Internet Wrestling Community) whatever you want.....but we are RIGHT!Â
The ratings show that no one is watching, except us!!! We don't want you to do
bad business, we are people who understand what people like us want your
business to be like.
Bottom line, it's a business. Either get your
business on track or go out of business. Spike TV isn't going to sit by and
give you a primetime slot and keep losing viewers. People are laughing at your
current product, WWE included. WHY NOT TRY IT OUR WAY AND SEE IF IT WORKS?!?Â
WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO LOSE?!?!?! YOU HAVE ALREADY LOST ALMOST
EVERYTHING!!!!
