#16: Travis Lutter (UFC Record: 2-4) (UFC Ultimate Fighter 4 Co-Winner)
There is easily one really good reason why Travis Lutter would rank last on this list, that reason is because he is the only UFC Ultimate Fighter winner to be cut by the UFC. Travis Lutter co-won the UFC Ultimate Fighter 4 after defeating Patrick Cote in the finals, which earned him a UFC Middleweight Title fight against current champion Anderson Silva. Travis Lutter not only failed to win the UFC Middleweight Title, but he even failed to make weight for the title opportunity. Travis Lutter’s final UFC appearance was at UFC 83 in April 2008, losing to Rich Franklin by knockout. Since his departure from the UFC, Travis Lutter has defeated UFC veteran Jason MacDonald at Maximum Fighting Championships 22.
#15: James Wilks (UFC Record: 2-1) (UFC Ultimate Fighter 9 Co-Winner)
James Wilks, along with fellow UFC Ultimate Fighter 9 Champion Ross Pearson, proved on the reality show that UK MMA is here to stay. Following his win over DeMarques Johnson at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 9 Finale, James Wilks then fell to Matt Brown at UFC 105. James Wilks has rebounded from his defeat to Matt Brown by defeating talented fighter Peter Sobotta at UFC 115. While James Wilks is gaining popularity amongst his UK countrymen, he has yet to gain ground with the American UFC fans, which is key if he is to rise up the rankings in the UFC. James Wilks is potentially set to return to UFC action this October when the UFC returns to the United Kingdom.
#14: Mac Danzig (UFC Record: 3-4) (UFC Ultimate Fighter 6 Winner)
Despite having a losing record in UFC competition, Mac Danzig has stepped up to face top competition in the UFC Lightweight Division. In his seven UFC fights, Mac Danzig has faced top stars like Clay Guida, Josh Neer, Jim Miller and Matt Wiman. Recently, Mac Danzig lost a controversial fight to Matt Wiman at UFC 115, after referee Yves Lavigne stopped the fight assuming the Mac Danzig was unconscious in Matt Wiman’s guillotine choke. Mac Danzig also found himself on a three fight losing streak already in his MMA career, which ended at UFC 109 in February 2010. If Mac Danzig continues to suffer defeats, no matter how controversial, he could join Travis Lutter as UFC Ultimate Fighter winners who were ousted from the company.
#13: Amir Sadollah (UFC Record: 3-2) (UFC Ultimate Fighter 7 Winner)
Amir Sadollah ranks as one of a few fighters on a very short list to have all of his professional MMA fights in the UFC. Amir Sadollah won the UFC Ultimate Fighter 7 when he defeated CB Dollaway in the finals, which was also his professional MMA debut. Since that victory, Amir Sadollah has gone two and two in UFC competition, defeating Phil Baroni and Brad Blackburn, while suffering defeats to Johny Hendricks and Dong Hyun Kim. On this past season of the UFC Ultimate Fighter, Amir Sadollah was host of the UFC All Access segment that aired during commercial breaks. In a UFC Welterweight Division that has been owned by Georges St. Pierre, Amir Sadollah must continue to grow as a fighter if he ever hopes to challenge for the title one day.
