By David Tees on 6/16/2010 6:00 PM
UFC Heavyweight Division Fight

James “The Hammer” McSweeney (4-4-0) vs. Travis “Hapa” Browne (9-0-0)

James McSweeney is currently undefeated in UFC competition, having defeated Darrill Schoonover at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale. James McSweeney is a veteran of the Cage Rage promotion, defeating Mark Buchanon and Roman Webber, while suffering defeats to Robert Paczkow and Mostapha Al-Turk. Of his eight professional MMA fights, none have gone to a decision for James McSweeney, which speaks to the fighters finishing abilities. Prior to entering the UFC in late 2009, James McSweeney had already fought UFC veterans Neil Grove and Mostapha Al-Turk. James McSweeney will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with all of his victories coming by knockout. Travis Browne will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he is a veteran of the Gladiator Challenge promotion. While in Gladiator Challenge, Travis Browne defeated Sergio Calderon, Matt Anderson, Brian Campbell and Aaron Brink. Travis Browne also fought in the Bellator Fighting Championships, defeating Mychal Clark by unanimous decision. Travis Browne will be entering the fight riding a nine fight undefeated streak, which has lasted well over a year. Travis Browne will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with seven victories coming by knockout.

My Prediction: Travis Browne

UFC Middleweight Division Fight

James “Sledge” Hammortree (5-1-0) vs. Chris Camozzi (12-3-0)

James Hammortree will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he was a cast member on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 11. James Hammortree is a veteran of the Real Fighting Championships, where he defeated Joey Bagley by knockout. James Hammortree has fought all six of his professional MMA fights in 2009, winning five of those fights. Of his six professional MMA fights, none have gone to a decision for James Hammortree, which speaks to the fighters finishing abilities. James Hammortree will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with all of his victories coming by knockout. Chris Camozzi will also be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he was a cast member on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 11. Chris Camozzi is a veteran of the Maximum Fighting Championships, where he defeated Dwayne Lewis and Eliot Duff, while suffering a defeat to Jesse Forbes.
