Fight #1 - UFC Light Heavyweight Division Fight

Seth Petruzelli (14-5-0) vs. Ricardo Romero (10-1-0) (Spike TV)

Round One

The round begins with Seth Petruzelli hitting Ricardo Romero with a leg kick, Seth Petruzelli then stuffs a Ricardo Romero takedown attempt. Seth Petruzelli then catches Ricardo Romero with a few right crosses that dazes the fighter, Seth Petruzelli then rocks Ricardo Romero with a head kick. Seth Petruzelli attempts a spinning back kick and Ricardo Romero blocks it to take him down, Ricardo Romero then loses control on Seth Petruzelli. Seth Petruzelli then ends up in the full guard of Ricardo Romero while using ground and pound, Ricardo Romero then scores a takedown on Seth Petruzelli and gets full mount. Ricardo Romero gets back control on Seth Petruzelli, Seth Petruzelli escapes an arm bar attempt and drops Ricardo Romero with an uppercut as they both stood up. Ricardo Romero then manages to get back control and nearly tap out Seth Petruzelli as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Seth Petruzelli hitting Ricardo Romero with a knee strike, Seth Petruzelli then blocks a takedown attempt from Ricardo Romero and gets back control. Ricardo Romero escapes an arm bar attempt and winds up in the guard of Seth Petruzelli, Seth Petruzelli then attacks Ricardo Romero with elbow strikes while on his back. Ricardo Romero moves to side control on Seth Petruzelli, Ricardo Romero locks in a kimura on Seth Petruzelli and the tap out follows.

Fight Result: Ricardo Romero def. Seth Petruzelli by submission via arm bar (3:00, R2)

Post fight interview with Ricardo Romero, who says he was disappointed with his performance and he has work to do in the future.

Joe Rogan interviews Shane Carwin, who says he feels great heading into the fight with Brock Lesnar and he will take the title away from the champion.

Fight #2 - UFC Heavyweight Division Fight

Brendan Schaub (6-1-0) vs. Chris Tuchscherer (18-2-0-1NC) (Spike TV)

Round One

The round begins with Brendan Schaub leveling Chris Tuchscherer with a series of punches to the face, Brendan Schaub then drops Chris Tuchscherer with a right and follows it up with some ground and pound until referee Herb Dean stops the fight.

Fight Result: Brendan Schaub def. Chris Tuchscherer by TKO via strikes (1:07, R1)

The Gerald Harris vs. Dave Branch preliminary fight airs.

Joe Rogan interviews Dana White, who talks about tonight’s fight card, primarily Brock Lesnar versus Shane Carwin.

Mike Goldberg welcomes the viewers to the pay-per-view portion of tonight’s event before introducing Joe Rogan, both of them go over tonight’s card.

Fight #3 - UFC Lightweight Division Fight

George Sotiropoulos (12-2-0) vs. Kurt Pellegrino (21-4-0)

Round One

The round begins with George Sotiropoulos hitting Kurt Pellegrino with a right, both fighters then exchange some leg kicks. George Sotiropoulos drops Kurt Pellegrino with some punches to the head, George Sotiropoulos then gets back control on Kurt Pellegrino. A scramble sends both fighters to their feet and George Sotiropoulos hits Kurt Pellegrino with a left hook, Kurt Pellegrino scores a brief takedown on George Sotiropoulos. Kurt Pellegrino then hits George Sotiropoulos with a short right, George Sotiropoulos then hits Kurt Pellegrino with a left hook. Kurt Pellegrino then scores a takedown on George Sotiropoulos and gets in the butterfly guard, Kurt Pellegrino moves to half guard on George Sotiropoulos. George Sotiropoulos moves Kurt Pellegrino back to full guard as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Kurt Pellegrino hitting George Sotiropoulos with a left hook, George Sotiropoulos scores a takedown on Kurt Pellegrino and gets half guard. Kurt Pellegrino then forces George Sotiropoulos back to the full guard, George Sotiropoulos postures up and moves to half guard on Kurt Pellegrino. George Sotiropoulos starts attacking Kurt Pellegrino with ground and pound, George Sotiropoulos then attacks Kurt Pellegrino with elbow strikes. The round begins with George Sotiropoulos peppering Kurt Pellegrino with jabs, Kurt Pellegrino responds by hitting George Sotiropoulos with a left hook. Kurt Pellegrino scores a takedown on George Sotiropoulos and gets the full guard, Kurt Pellegrino attacks George Sotiropoulos with some ground and pound, George Sotiropoulos then holds Kurt Pellegrino in mission control. Kurt Pellegrino breaks free and decks George Sotiropoulos with a few strikes, the fighters stand up and both fighters exchange knee strikes. Kurt Pellegrino hits George Sotiropoulos with a knee strike that drops him as the round concludes.

Post fight interview with George Sotiropoulos, who thanks his team with the victory and says it was hard to control Kurt Pellegrino during the fight.

Fight #4 - UFC Light Heavyweight Division Fight

The round begins with Krzysztof Soszynski nailing Stephan Bonnar with a few strikes, Krzysztof Soszynski then hits Stephan Bonnar with a few leg kicks. Stephan Bonnar scores a takedown on Krzysztof Soszynski and gets in the full guard, Krzysztof Soszynski uses a scramble to put the fight on the feet. Stephan Bonnar then connects with a knee strike on Krzysztof Soszynski, Stephan Bonnar goes for a spinning back kick and Krzysztof Soszynski blocks it. Stephan Bonnar then hits Krzysztof Soszynski with a few elbow strikes, Krzysztof Soszynski then pops Stephan Bonnar with a straight right. Both fighters then start swinging wildly at each other near the cage wall, Stephan Bonnar hits Krzysztof Soszynski with a push kick as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Krzysztof Soszynski attacking Stephan Bonnar with several punches, both fighters swing wildly at each other again with Krzysztof Soszynski winning the exchange. Stephan Bonnar then hits Krzysztof Soszynski with a series of punches and a high kick, Stephan Bonnar scores a takedown on Krzysztof Soszynski and gets side control. The fighters stand up and Stephan Bonnar drops Krzysztof Soszynski with a knee strike and he follows it up with ground and pound until referee Herb Dean stops the fight.

Fight #5 - UFC Welterweight Division Fight

Chris Lytle (38-17-4) vs. Matt Brown (13-8-0)

Round One

The round begins with Chris Lytle hitting Matt Brown with an overhand right, Matt Brown then attacks Chris Lytle with a series of punches. Matt Brown then hits Chris Lytle with a knee strike to the body, Matt Brown then barely hits Chris Lytle with a head kick. Matt Brown then scores a takedown on Chris Lytle, the fighters briefly stand up until Matt Brown puts the fight back on the ground. Matt Brown holds the D’arce choke on Chris Lytle until he chose to release the hold, Chris Lytle then hits Matt Brown with a left cross to the head. Chris Lytle then hits Matt Brown with a body punch, Matt Brown then puts Chris Lytle on the ground as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Chris Lytle hitting Matt Brown with a short right, Chris Lytle drops Matt Brown with an uppercut. Chris Lytle then gets full mount on Matt Brown and attempted a guillotine choke, Chris Lytle locks in an arm bar on Matt Brown and a tap out follows.

Fight Result: Chris Lytle def. Matt Brown by submission via arm bar (2:02, R2)

Post fight interview with Chris Lytle, who says he survived the guillotine choke by Matt Brown due to his wrestling base and he wants the submission of the night award.

Fight #6 - UFC Middleweight Division Fight

Yoshihiro Akiyama (13-1-0-2NC) vs. Chris Leben (20-6-0)

Round One

The round begins with Yoshihiro Akiyama quickly putting Chris Leben on the ground, the fighters stand up and Yoshihiro Akiyama hits Chris Leben with a leg kick. Chris Leben then hits Yoshihiro Akiyama with a leg kick of his own, Chris Leben then catches Yoshihiro Akiyama with a counter left. Yoshihiro Akiyama then accidentally kicks Chris Leben in the nuts and the fight is briefly stopped, the fight resumes with Yoshihiro Akiyama scoring a takedown on Chris Leben and puts him in the guard. Chris Leben attempts an arm bar and fails, Yoshihiro Akiyama gets the mounted triangle position on Chris Leben. Yoshihiro Akiyama gets half guard on Chris Leben, the fighters stand up and Chris Leben gets taken down again by Yoshihiro Akiyama as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Chris Leben trying a head kick on Yoshihiro Akiyama, Yoshihiro Akiyama then hits Chris Leben with a spinning back fist. Yoshihiro Akiyama then connects with a superman punch on Chris Leben, Yoshihiro Akiyama then hits Chris Leben with a right. Yoshihiro Akiyama and Chris Leben start rocking each other by throwing a lot of wild strikes, Yoshihiro Akiyama takes Chris Leben down with a judo throw and gets in the full guard. Yoshihiro Akiyama then peppers Chris Leben with some weak looking punches, the fighters stand up and Chris Leben hits Yoshihiro Akiyama with a left. Chris Leben then decks Yoshihiro Akiyama with multiple punches to the face as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Chris Leben hitting Yoshihiro Akiyama with a body kick, Chris Leben then hits Yoshihiro Akiyama with a head kick. Yoshihiro Akiyama then scores a takedown on Chris Leben and gets in his guard, Chris Leben then attempted an arm bar on Yoshihiro Akiyama and got lifted in the air and dropped by his opponent. Yoshihiro Akiyama gets a full mount on Chris Leben, both fighters are swinging at each other while on the ground. Chris Leben then forces Yoshihiro Akiyama back into his full guard, Chris Leben hits Yoshihiro Akiyama with many strikes while on his back. Post fight interview with Chris Leben, who says that he wants Wanderlei Silva next and says he is a highly respected fighter now. Post fight interview with Yoshihiro Akiyama, who says Chris Leben is a great fighter and was surprised Chris Leben was that good on the ground.

Main Event - UFC Heavyweight Title Unification Fight

Brock Lesnar (4-1-0) (UFC Heavyweight Champion) vs. Shane Carwin (12-0-0) (UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion)

Round One

The round begins with Shane Carwin hitting Brock Lesnar with a punch to the head, Shane Carwin then blocks a Brock Lesnar takedown attempt. Shane Carwin then rocks Brock Lesnar with an uppercut and several more punches, Shane Carwin then drops Brock Lesnar with a knee strike and follows it up with ground and pound. Shane Carwin takes a brief rest before returning to attacking Brock Lesnar with ground and pound, Shane Carwin then moves into the half guard of Brock Lesnar. Shane Carwin postures up and assaults Brock Lesnar with more ground and pound, Shane Carwin returns to the half guard of Brock Lesnar. The fighters stand up and Shane Carwin and Brock Lesnar exchange knee strikes as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Brock Lesnar scoring a takedown on Shane Carwin and getting the half guard, Brock Lesnar then starts attacking Shane Carwin with ground and pound. Brock Lesnar then moves to full mount on Shane Carwin, Brock Lesnar then locks Shane Carwin in the arm triangle and the tap out follows.

Post fight interview with Brock Lesnar, who says tonight is about his family, doctors, friends and training partners that have been around him. Brock Lesnar then says that he had to weather the storm from Shane Carwin and he shakes the hand of Joe Rogan. Post fight interview with Shane Carwin, who says that Brock Lesnar is a tough fighter and he will return one day.

The Kendall Grove vs. Goran Reljic preliminary fight airs.

The turning point of the night award goes to Stephan Bonnar.
