Fight #1 - Strikeforce Women's Welterweight Tournament Semi-Final Fight

Maiju Kujala (4-1-0) vs. Miesha Tate (9-2-0)

Referee: Ron Mation

Round One

The round begins with Miesha Tate hitting Maiju Kujala with a short left, Miesha Tate then attacks Maiju Kujala legs with knee strikes. Miesha Tate then attacks Maiju Kujala with body punches, Miesha Tate then scores a takedown on Maiju Kujala and gets side control. Maiju Kujala then forces Miesha Tate into the half guard, the referee stands up the fighters during a submission attempt by Miesha Tate as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Miesha Tate hitting Maiju Kujala with a leg kick, Miesha Tate then nails Maiju Kujala with a push kick. Maiju Kujala then hits Miesha Tate with dirty boxing while in the clinch, Miesha Tate then barely hits Maiju Kujala with a head kick. Miesha Tate then hits Maiju Kujala with multiple knee strikes to the body, Miesha Tate then hits Maiju Kujala with another head kick. Miesha Tate then scores a takedown on Maiju Kujala and gets side control, Maiju Kujala forces Miesha Tate into the half guard as the round ends.

Fight Result: Miesha Tate def. Maiju Kujala by unanimous decision (20-18, 20-18, 20-18)

Post fight interview with Miesha Tate, who says Maiju Kujala is an amazing fighter and says she is ready for the finals.

Fight #2 - Strikeforce Women's Welterweight Tournament Semi-Final Fight

Hitomi Akano (15-7-0) vs. Carina Damm (15-3-0)

Round One

The round begins with Carina Damm barely hitting Hitomi Akano with a head kick, Carina Damm then scores a takedown on Hitomi Akano and gets back control. Carina Damm moves into full guard on Hitomi Akano, Carina Damm then attacks Hitomi Akano with ground and pound. The referee stands up the fighters after inactivity and Carina Damm hits Hitomi Akano with a spinning back fist, Hitomi Akano then scores a takedown on Carina Damm as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Carina Damm hitting Hitomi Akano with a spinning back fist, Hitomi Akano then scores a takedown on Carina Damm and gets half guard. Carina Damm escapes a Hitomi Akano arm bar attempt and then gets in her full guard, Hitomi Akano then locks Carina Damm in a triangle choke to force a tap out.

Fight Result: Hitomi Akano def. Carina Damm by submission via triangle choke (1:48, R2)

Post fight interview with Hitomi Akano, who says she used Carina Damm reversal technique to get the victory and promises to submit Miesha Tate.

Cageside interview with Sarah Kaufman, who predicts Hitomi Akano will win the tournament and says the action has been good thus far.

Fight #3 - Strikeforce Lightweight Division Fight

Ryan Couture (0-0-0) vs. Lucas Stark (0-0-0)

Round One

The round begins with Lucas Stark hitting Ryan Couture with an overhand right, Ryan Couture then scores a takedown on Lucas Stark and gets half guard. Ryan Couture then locks Lucas Stark in the triangle choke and a tap out quickly follows.

Fight Result: Ryan Couture def. Lucas Stark by submission via triangle choke (1:15, R1)

Post fight interview with Ryan Couture, who says the triangle choke is his favorite hold and says the fight didn’t go how he expected it would.

Fight #4 - Strikeforce Women's Welterweight Tournament Finals Fight

Miesha Tate (10-2-0) vs. Hitomi Akano (16-7-0)

Referee: Neil Sarbmbock

Round One

The round begins with Hitomi Akano hitting Miesha Tate with a body kick, Miesha Tate then hits Hitomi Akano with a push kick. Miesha Tate then scores a takedown on Hitomi Akano and gets back control, Miesha Tate then escapes an Hitomi Akano foot lock attempt. Miesha Tate attacks Hitomi Akano with ground and pound as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Miesha Tate hitting Hitomi Akano with a straight right, Miesha Tate scores a takedown on Hitomi Akano and gets back control. Miesha Tate then attacks Hitomi Akano with some ground and pound as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Hitomi Akano hitting Miesha Tate with a head kick, Miesha Tate then scores a takedown on Hitomi Akano and gets back control for the majority of the round. Miesha Tate then gets an open North/South position on Hitomi Akano, Miesha Tate returns to back control on Hitomi Akano. Miesha Tate then attacks Hitomi Akano with ground and pound as the round ends.

Fight Result: Miesha Tate def. Hitomi Akano by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Post fight interview with Miesha Tate, who says her submission defense is her strong point and she cannot wait to fight Sarah Kaufman.

The round begins with Louis Taylor hitting Joe Riggs with a leg kick, both fighters then exchange strikes while in the clinch. The fighters return to their feet and Louis Taylor hits Joe Riggs with a leg kick, Joe Riggs then hits Louis Taylor with a straight left. Joe Riggs then hits Louis Taylor with an inside leg kick, Joe Riggs then hits Louis Taylor with multiple knee strikes as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Louis Taylor hitting Joe Riggs with a body punch, Joe Riggs responds by hitting Louis Taylor with a leg kick of his own. Joe Riggs then nails Louis Taylor with a superman punch, Louis Taylor then hits Joe Riggs with an uppercut. Joe Riggs then charges at Louis Taylor with multiple punches, Louis Taylor then hits Joe Riggs with a left. Louis Taylor scores a takedown on Joe Riggs and gets half guard, Louis Taylor follows it up by attacking Joe Riggs with ground and pound as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Louis Taylor hitting Joe Riggs with a leg kick, Louis Taylor then nails Joe Riggs with a side kick. Joe Riggs then rocks Louis Taylor with a left to the face, Joe Riggs then powers Louis Taylor to the ground and gets in the half guard. Joe Riggs then crucifixes the arms and assaults Louis Taylor with strikes until the fighter taps out.

Post fight interview with Joe Riggs, who says it was great to compete in his hometown and he wants to compete against Nick Diaz or in the Strikeforce Middleweight Tournament.
