Andre Galvao (4-1-0) vs. Jorge “Macaco†Patino (20-12-1)
Andre Galvao is currently undefeated in Strikeforce competition, achieving a victory over Luke Stewart at Strikeforce Challengers 7. Andre Galvao has also competed in the DREAM promotion, defeating John Alessio and suffering a defeat to Jason High. Andre Galvao started off his MMA career in impressive fashion, with a three fight undefeated streak that had lasted nearly a year. Andre Galvao has had an interesting pattern develop during his career, which is he has fought twice every year since his MMA career began. Andre Galvao will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with three of his victories coming by way of submission. Jorge Patino will be making his Strikeforce debut in this fight, but he is a veteran of the Jungle Fight promotion. While in Jungle Fight, Jorge Patino has defeated the trio of Ronaldo Souza, Boris Jonstomp and Carlos Baruch. Jorge Patino most recently competed in the Shine Fights promotion, suffering a defeat to Roan Carneiro by unanimous decision. It has been nearly a year since Jorge Patino last competed in a professional MMA fight, so cage rust can be a factor in the fight. Jorge Patino will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with seven victories coming by way of submission.

Daniel Cormier (4-0-0) vs. Jason “The Juggernaut†Riley (9-3-0)
Daniel Cormier is currently undefeated in Strikeforce competition, with victories over both Gary Frazier and John Devine. Daniel Cormier recently won the King Of The Cage Heavyweight Title by defeating Tony Johnson just a week ago. Daniel Cormier will be entering the fight riding a four fight winning streak, which has lasted nearly a year. Daniel Cormier has yet to have one of his fights go to a decision, which speaks to his finishing abilities. Daniel Cormier will be looking to use his ground and pound skills to win the fight, with three victories coming by knockout. Jason Riley is a well traveled MMA veteran who will be making his Strikeforce debut in this fight against Daniel Cormier. Jason Riley has fought top MMA fighters like former UFC Heavyweight Champion Tim Sylvia and Josh Shockman. Of his twelve professional MMA fights, only one has gone to a decision for Jason Riley, which speaks to the fighters finishing abilities. Jason Riley will be entering the fight riding a two fight winning streak, which has lasted over two months. Jason Riley will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with seven victories coming by knockout.
