John Gunderson also competed in the International Fight League, defeating Josh Odom and Gabriel Casillas, while suffering defeats to Bart Palaszewski, Wagney Fabiano and Ryan Schultz. John Gunderson was slated to fight Paul Kelly at the UFC ultimate Fighter 11 Finale, but fought Mark Holst instead after his original opponent was injured. In the Summer of 2005, John Gunderson defeated Elite XC and Shine Fights veteran Charles Bennett at a Gladiator Challenge event. John Gunderson will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with twenty three victories coming by submission. Yves Edwards has had a successful run in the UFC, defeating Rich Clementi, Eddie Ruiz, Nick Agallar, Hermes Franca and Josh Thomson, while suffering defeats to Matt Serra, Caol Uno, Mark Hominick and Joe Stevenson. Yves Edwards most recently competed in the Bellator Fighting Championships, defeating Luis Palomino by unanimous decision. It has been over four years since Yves Edwards last competed in the UFC, with his last appearance happening at UFC 61 in July 2006.
