NEWS
EMLL held a press conference today to announce some news items and they were the following:
Estrellita & Tiffany are now officially part of EMLL as the female representatives for Los Invasores.
Taichi Ishikari will be returning to Mexico on 10/4.
Damian el Terrible & Hijo del Texano will be going to New Japan to compete in the G1 Tag League and Mascara Dorada & La Sombra will be competing in the G1 Jr. Tag League.
EMLL will also be sending representatives to New Japan for their Tokyo Dome show on 1/4/2011.
EMLL will hold their annual bodybuilding contests in November.
EMLL will hold a tournament to determine the #1 Contenders for the Arena Coliseo Tag Titles held by Fuego & Stuka Jr. starting on 10/3 at Arena Coliseo.
And last but not least, Negro Casas will face off with Charly Manson on 10/15 in Arena Mexico in a caballera contra caballera match.
Mistico spoke out against EMLL though to Diario Record saying that he is highly dissatisified with the direction the promotion is going these days and he isn't the only one but he is the one that can speak out because they are afraid to lose their jobs while he isn't. Mistico said that the promotion wants more power than ever on the wrestlers and they are putting the squeeze on independent promoters who try to book talent when they feel like that they need the talent for themselves. Mistico then questioned the bookers saying that they think they know what the fans want but they don't as the fans would like to see title matches and popular rivalries revived not randon independent guys come in or young wrestlers who haven't proven themselves yet and that's why Arena Mexico doesn't sellout every week. Mistico went on to say that he knows that there are some young wrestlers who have earned a place with the main eventers but they need to prove to the fans that they are motivated to be there. Mistico said that the fans want the mask match between him & Volador Jr. since it's been built up but the bookers want to go in another direction which isn't "serious & stable" as they claim to be. Mistico said that it's an embarrassment that the ringside area of Arena Mexico isn't filled up every week like it used to be as the fans know that they can only come to the big shows not every week and something must be done because this is a red alert.
