Tie Quan Zhang will be making his WEC debut in this fight, but he is a veteran of the Art Of War promotion. While in Art Of War, Tie Quan Zhang defeated Zhao Yun Fei, Yun Tao Gong, De Gi Ji Ri Hu, Shashi Sathe, Seoung Hee Kim, Erik Kalseth and Malik Arash Mawlayi. Despite competing in professional MMA for over four years, this fight will mark the North American MMA debut for Tie Quan Zhang. Tie Quan Zhang will be entering the fight riding an eleven fight undefeated streak, which has lasted nearly four years. Tie Quan Zhang will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with eight victories coming by way of submission. Pablo Garza will also be making his WEC debut in this fight, but he is a veteran of the Extreme Beatdown promotion. While in the Extreme Beatdown promotion, Pablo Garza defeated both Jonathan Knutson and Jayson Fuentes. Pablo Garza was a contestant on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 12, but didn’t make it to the main cast of the show.
