By David Tees on 10/19/2010 2:10 PM
Strikeforce Women’s Middleweight Division Fight

Julia “The Jewel” Budd (0-0-0) vs. Shana “Rock Solid” Olsen (4-0-0)

Julia Budd will not only be making her Strikeforce debut in this fight, but she will be making her professional MMA debut as well. Shana Olsen will also be making her Strikeforce debut in this fight, but she is a veteran of the Brutaal MMA promotion. While in Brutaal MMA, Shana Olsen achieved victories over the duo of Jessica Kinnetz and Mariah Johnson. Of her four professional MMA fights, only one has gone to a decision for Shana Olsen, which speaks to her finishing abilities. Shana Olsen will be entering the fight riding a four fight undefeated streak, which has lasted well over a year. Shana Olsen will be looking to use her striking skills to win the fight, with two victories coming by knockout.

My Prediction: Shana Olsen

Strikeforce Heavyweight Division Fight

Lavar “Big” Johnson (14-3-0) vs. Virgil “The Rezdog” Zwicker (8-1-0)

Lavar Johnson is currently undefeated in Strikeforce competition, having defeated both Carl Seumanutafa and Lolohea Mahe. Lavar Johnson also competed in the World Extreme Cagefighting promotion, defeating Levi Thornbrue, Fred Diaz, Carlos Garcia and Corey Salter, while suffering defeats to Doug Marshall and Brian Olsen. Unfortunately for Lavar Johnson, he was wounded in a drive by shooting over a year ago that claimed the life of his cousin. Lavar Johnson will be entering the fight riding a six fight winning streak, which has lasted over two years. Lavar Johnson will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with twelve victories coming by knockout. Virgil Zwicker will be making his Strikeforce debut in this fight, but he is a veteran of the Gladiator Challenge promotion. While in Gladiator Challenge, Virgil Zwicker defeated Dave Diaz and Buckley Acosta, while suffering a lone defeat to Cody Goodale. Virgil Zwicker started off his MMA career in impressive fashion, with an eight fight undefeated streak that had lasted nearly seven years. Virgil Zwicker is currently winless in 2010, suffering a defeat to the aforementioned Cody Goodale in April 2010. Virgil Zwicker will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with six victories coming by knockout.

My Prediction: Lavar Johnson

Strikeforce Lightweight Division Fight

Billy Evangelista (10-0-0) vs. Walachia “Native Warrior” Spiritwolf (8-6-1)

Billy Evangelista is currently undefeated in Strikeforce competition, defeating Isaiah Hill, Clint Coronel, Marlon Sims, Nam Phan, Luke Caudillo and Jorge Gurgel. Billy Evangelista is also part of Strikeforce history, as he competed in the very first Strikeforce Challengers card. Billy Evangelista also competed once in the World Extreme Cagefighting promotion, defeating Ryan Healy. Billy Evangelista will be entering the fight riding a ten fight undefeated streak, which has lasted nearly four years. Billy Evangelista will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with four victories coming by knockout. Waachiim Spiritwolf will be making his Strikeforce debut in this fight, but he is a veteran of the King Of The Cage promotion. While in King Of The Cage, Waachiim Spiritwolf defeated Ricky Legere Jr., while suffering a defeat to Ricky Legere Jr. and fighting Ismael Gonzales to a draw. Waachiim Spiritwolf also holds a victory over UFC veteran Crafton Wallace, which happened at an Art Of War event. It has been a little over a month since Waachiim Spiritwolf last competed in an MMA fight, so conditioning could be a factor in the fight. Waachiim Spiritwolf will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with six victories coming by knockout.

My Prediction: Billy Evangelista

Strikeforce Welterweight Division Fight

“Relentless” Roger Bowling (8-0-0) vs. “Vicious” Bobby Voelker (22-8-0)

Roger Bowling is currently undefeated in Strikeforce competition, having defeated Bobby Voelker at Strikeforce Challengers 8. Roger Bowling also competed in the MMA Big Show promotion, defeating Chris Runge, Mike Skiba, Paul Mann, Seth Baczynski, Devon Plaisance and Jerrod Appenzeller. Of his eight professional MMA fights, only one has gone to a decision for Roger Bowling, which speaks to his finishing abilities. Roger Bowling will be entering the fight riding an eight fight undefeated streak, which has lasted over three years. Roger Bowling will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with five victories coming by knockout. Bobby Voelker has had a successful run in Strikeforce, defeating Erik Apple and Corey Devela, while suffering a lone defeat to Roger Bowling. Bobby Voelker has also fought other top MMA athletes like Kyle Bradley, Kevin Burns and Jacob Volkmann. This fight will mark the third fight in five months for Bobby Voelker, who split his other two fights this year. Bobby Voelker will be entering the fight riding a one fight winning streak, which has lasted nearly three months. Bobby Voelker will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with thirteen victories coming by knockout.

My Prediction: Roger Bowling
