By David Tees on 11/15/2010 7:44 PM
Strikeforce Welterweight Division Fight

Jamie Houston (1-0-0) vs. Dave Martin (0-0-0)

Jamie Houston will be making his Strikeforce debut in this fight, but he is a veteran of the V3 Fights promotion. While in the V3 Fights promotion, Jamie Houston scored a victory over Matt Hill by TKO in the opening round. Jamie Houston will be entering the fight riding a one fight winning streak, which has last over four months. Jamie Houston will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with his lone MMA victory coming by knockout. Dave Martin will not only be making his Strikeforce debut in this fight, but his professional MMA debut as well.

My Prediction: Jamie Houston

Strikeforce Middleweight Division Fight

Jeremiah “Mississippi” Riggs (3-5-0) vs. James Sharp (4-5-0)

Jeremiah Riggs will be making his Strikeforce debut in this fight, but he has competed in the Bellator Fighting Championships. While in the Bellator Fighting Championships, Jeremiah Riggs defeated Mike Fleniken by unanimous decision. Jeremiah Riggs also competed in the Empire Fighting Championships, defeating Jesse Beale and suffering a defeat to Keith Johnson. This fight will mark the fifth fight of 2010 for Jeremiah Riggs, as he has split the first four fights this year. Jeremiah Riggs will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with two victories coming by way of submission. James Sharp will be making his Strikeforce debut in this fight, but he is a veteran of the Atlas Fights promotion. While in Atlas Fights, James Sharp defeated Eric Thompson and Cory Johnson, while suffering a lone defeat to Colin McKee. James Sharp started off his MMA career in a rather poor fashion, with a two fight losing streak that had lasted well over a year. Of his nine professional MMA fights, only one has gone to a decision for James Sharp, which speaks to his finishing abilities. James Sharp will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with two victories coming by way of submission.

My Prediction: Jeremiah Riggs

Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Division Fight

Wesley “Pitbull” Little (2-4-0) vs. Jacob “Psycho” Noe (3-1-0)

Wesley Little will be making his Strikeforce debut in this match, but he has competed in the Cage Rage promotion. While in the Cage Rage promotion, Wesley Little defeated Justin Hallahan and suffering a defeat to Tony Roberts. Despite competing in professional MMA for over two years, Wesley Little has yet to achieve a two fight winning streak in his career. Wesley Little split both of his MMA fights thus far in 2010, most recently losing to the aforementioned Tony Roberts. Wesley Little will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with all of his victories coming by knockout. Jacob Noe will be making his Strikeforce debut in this fight, but he is a veteran of the Cage Assault promotion. While in Cage Assault, Jacob Noe suffered a defeat to Goldman Butler and fighting Matt Thomas to a no contest. Jacob Noe made his professional MMA debut over a decade ago, but once took an eight year break from active MMA competition. It has only been six days since Jacob Noe last had an MMA fight, so conditioning could become a factor in this fight. Jacob Noe will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with two victories coming by way of submission.

My Prediction: Jacob Noe

Strikeforce Heavyweight Division Fight

Wes “The Perfect Storm” Shivers (4-0-0) vs. Goldman Butler (1-3-0)

Wes Shivers will be making his Strikeforce debut in this fight, but he is a veteran of the Psychout MMA promotion. While in Psychout MMA promotion. Wes Shivers defeated the duo of Justin Thornton and Jerry Carol. Wes Shivers was a cast member on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 10, which was eventually won by Roy Nelson. Wes Shivers will be entering the fight riding a four fight undefeated streak, which has lasted over three years. Wes Shivers will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with two victories coming by way of submission. Goldman Butler will also be making his Strikeforce debut in this fight, but he has competed in the Cage Assault promotion. While in Cage Assault, Goldman Butler scored his lone professional MMA victory over Jacob Noe by TKO. Goldman Butler will be entering this fight trying to stop a three fight losing streak, which has lasted over a year. Goldman Butler will be one of four fighters competing on the Strikeforce Challengers 12 preliminary card that has a losing record. Goldman Butler will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with his lone MMA victory coming by knockout.

My Prediction: Wes Shivers

(Note: Since the remaining fights on the preliminary card are amateur fights, I will just make quick picks for those fights since I don’t preview amateur fights.)

* Anthony Mitchell over Jeffrey Hedgepeth

* Thomas Vasquez over Brian Hall

* Joel Cooper over Brian Burse

* Travis Robertson over Ken DuBoise
