OPEN LETTER FROM MICKIE KNUCKLES:INDIANA BENEFIT EVENT FOR TOYS FOR TOTS AND J.C. BAILEY'S FAMILY

By Mickie Knuckles on 11/24/2010 11:27 AM

To Whom It May Concern;

    My name is Mickie Knuckles and I am a professional wrestler; I have been for 8 yrs. I grew up in Clark County living with my mother and 2 sisters. Many times we were threatened with not being able to celebrate Christmas due to the fact that our mom was a single mother and towards the last three years of her life, she was sick with Cancer. If it was not for charitable denotations through Toys for Tots or Shop with a Cop, we would have gone without. But this show isn’t about me or my family, it is about another.
    I had a friend and his name was JC Bailey. About two months ago he passed away from a brain aneurysm. He supported and took care of his handicapped mother and was her only means of living. This show was originally scheduled to happen where 100% of the proceeds were to go to his family. On November 16th, 2010, his mother also passed away leaving the remaining members of their family, a daughter named Kim and grand-daughter named Madison, questioning themselves on how to pay the funeral costs. The family has asked me to go ahead with the show and now the proceeds will be donated to help them in their time of need.
    But, I cannot just help them. JC and Vicky loved children. They use to say that the children were the ones that made the show fun and exciting. That is why in conjunction with this benefit show, we have also chosen to work with Toys for Tots, something very close to my heart, to make sure no child goes without. For every toy donated, a child (12 and under) can get into the show for free. I have already spoken with a Toys for Tots representative and they will be there to accept the donations. This will be an “All Ages” show, meaning it will be a G rated show available and appropriate for all ages. Tickets will be reasonably priced. $7 for front row and $5 for general admission and the show will start at 7:00pm with the doors opening at 6:00pm.
    Why stop there? Since this is a night to help those less fortunate and remember wonderful and beautiful people, I also have a volunteer Santa showing up to spread Christmas cheer and candy. He will be available to take pictures with children for the Christmas season and a professional photographer has agreed to donate his time and camera to the cause. Pictures of the child and Santa will be available that night for purchase and that money will also go towards the Bailey family.
    I hope to receive the communities’ support in this. While most of the necessities are being donated (i.e.: wrestling ring, sound system, chairs and wrestlers) we still need donations to help cover the costs of building rent. Also, any additional support, whether it be advertising outlets or simply just passing out the flyers that we can provide, would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you for taking the time out to read this. My contact info is below, so please feel free to call me about any donations, questions, comments, or helpful suggestions. I can use all the help I can get, together we can make this event a success.

Sincerely,

Mickie Knuckles
