Round One: The UFC Gives Back
Usually I prefer to mention the evenings main event in “Round Oneâ€, but I am choosing to acknowledge a promotion this time around. This event was the second UFC Fights For The Troops card that the promotion has put on and hopefully tons of money was raised for our armed forces. All the funds donated throughout the event will be given to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, which assists and treats soldiers who are dealing with severe brain injuries suffered overseas. For those who wish to donate to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, you can visit FightForTheTroops.com to do so!

Round Two: Evan Dunham Was Assassinated
Most people assumed that when Melvin Guillard was put in as a late replacement for Kenny Florian against Evan Dunham, that he would be defeated. However, Melvin Guillard would prove everybody wrong when he would defeat Evan Dunham by TKO in the first round. Evan Dunham, was thought of as a top contender for the UFC Lightweight Title now has a ton of rebuilding to do. For those who listen to Melvin Guillard, it seems like a UFC Lightweight Title opportunity is in his future.
Next Round For Melvin Guillard: Yves Edwards, the man he was originally set to fight or Kenny Florian, the man he replaced
Next Round For Evan Dunham: Gleison Tibau, Cody McKenzie or Rafael Dos Anjos
Round Three: A Challenger Is Set
When UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo was set to debut in the octagon at UFC 125, he was set to face Josh Grispi. Now at UFC 129 in Canada, the current champion will make both his UFC debut and first UFC Featherweight Title defense against Mark Hominick. At UFC Fights For The Troops II, Mark Hominick destroyed George Roop in under three minutes to earn the title shot. If Mark Hominick is deemed healthy by the athletic commission, expect to see him get his title shot in a few months.
Next Round For Mark Hominick: Jose Also at UFC 129
Next Round For George Roop: A UFC Release
Round Four: A Meathead Is Victorious
There are very few fighters outside of Brock Lesnar that can be considered a title contender after having less than five professional MMA fights. However, Matt Mitrione is quickly moving up the ranks in the UFC Heavyweight Division after notching another good win on Saturday Night. The truly interesting thing about Matt Mitrione is that the former NFL player is still learning MMA and rapidly improving everyday. Matt Mitrione seemingly booked his next UFC fight after responding to a Pat Barry challenge earlier in the evening in a post fight interview with Joe Rogan.
Next Round For Matt Mitrione: Pat Barry
Next Round For Tim Hague: A UFC Release
Round Five: Find That Man Some Crutches
There was a large contingent of MMA fans who thought that days of Pat Barry in the UFC were done after his loss to Mirko Cro Cop in 2010. Pat Barry proved everybody wrong on Saturday Night when he simply crippled Joey Beltran with a plethora of leg kicks. Pat Barry then cut a very emotional interview in front of the troops, dedicating the fight to his father, who served in the military. Credit must also be given to Joey Beltran, who somehow survived three rounds using only one leg for the majority of the fight.
Next Round For Pat Barry: Matt Mitrione
Next Round For Joey Beltran: Travis Brown, Stefan Struve or Matt McCorkle
