The preliminary card will kick off with a middleweight encounter as Sam Bracamonte (0-0-0) takes on Armin Safiari (0-0-0). It must be tough enough to be making your professional MMA debut, but doing it in Strikeforce has got to make it extra tough. Since this fight is essentially a pick ‘em, I’ll go with Sam Bracamonte, who has more amateur experience then his opponent does.
A set of welterweights with the same last name is up next as Niko Jackson (0-0-0) will go to war with Niko Jackson (0-0-0). What is always an advantage for debuting fighters is competing in their hometown, which is what both of them are doing in this fight. If amateur fighting experience should dictate who would win in their professional debut, then Ricky Jackson will be the winner.
The final non-televised preliminary fight will be a lightweight encounter as Alan Perez (0-0-0) faces off with Anthony Dariano (0-0-0). It seems that our string of debuting fighters will continue with this encounter, but it takes place in the shallow talent pool of the lightweight division. Alan Perez will have a little bit of a hometown advantage in this fight, which should help him secure the victory.
