Kicking off the card will be a lightweight encounter as Edson Barboza (7-0-0) takes on former WEC fighter Anthony Njokuani (13-4-0). Edson Barboza made an impressive UFC debut at UFC 123, defeating Mike Lullo by TKO after destroying him with leg kicks. Anthony Njokuani won four of seven in the WEC, with victories coming over Bart Palaszewski and Chris Horodecki. This fight is going to be an exciting striking battle, which is a battle that Edson Barboza is going to win.
Headlining the Spike TV card will be a light heavyweight fight as Luiz “Banha†Cane (10-3-0) takes on Eliot “The Fire†Marshall (10-2-0). Luiz Cane will be looking to stop a two fight losing streak at this event, but has won three of six in the promotion. Eliot Marshall is replacing Karlos Vemola in this fight, who was pulled from the fight after suffering an injury in training camp. Luiz Cane will be picking up the win with his better striking, plus the lack of preparation is going to hurt Eliot Marshall.
