Welcome to the PWInsiderXtra live coverage of UFC 130: Rampage vs. Hamill, live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Fight #1 - UFC Bantamweight Division Fight

Renan Barao (27-1-0-1NC) vs. Cole Escovedo (17-6-0)

Referee: Steve Mazzagatti

Round One

The round begins with Barao charging at Escovedo with a series of punches, Barao scores a fast takedown on Escovedo and he gets the open guard. Escovedo eventually positions Barao into the full guard, the fighters stand up and Barao nails Escovedo with a leg kick. Escovedo then pulls guard on Barao and the fight returns to the ground, both fighters throw short strikes at each other. The referee stands up the fighters after inactivity and Escovedo hits Barao with a head kick, Barao then scores a takedown on Escovedo and gets the open guard as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Escovedo dropping Barao with a left and knee strike, Barao drags Escovedo to the ground and gets the open guard. The fighters stand up and Barao nails Escovedo with a leg kick, Escovedo responds by hitting Barao with a switch kick. Barao then scores another takedown on Escovedo and he gets the open guard, the referee stands up the fighters after inactivity and Barao nails Escovedo with a body kick. Escovedo pulls guard again on Barao as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Barao nailing Escovedo with a flying knee strike, the fight goes to the ground with Barao on top. The fighters quickly stand up and Escovedo hits Barao with a left, Barao responds by throwing a few leg kicks. Escovedo responds himself by hitting Barao with a spinning back fist, Escovedo follows that up with a few rights to Barao’s face. Escovedo then starts assaulting Barao with some leg kicks, Escovedo follows that up with a flying knee strike. Barao then stuns an incoming Escovedo with a punching combination, Barao then scores a takedown on Escovedo and gets the guard. Barao stands up and is nailed with an up kick from Escovedo, Barao then scores another takedown on Escovedo as the round ends.

Fight Result: Renan Barao def. Cole Escovedo by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

Fight #2 - UFC Bantamweight Division Fight

Chris Cariaso (11-2-0) vs. Michael McDonald (12-1-0)

Referee: Josh Rosenthal

Round One

The round begins with both men engaging early with wild strikes, McDonald then clips Cariaso with a straight right and uppercut. Cariaso then clobbers McDonald with a few leg kicks, McDonald responds by nailing Cariaso with leg kicks of his own. Both men then take the opportunity to slug it out with some wild punches, Cariaso trips to the ground and McDonald jumps on top of him. McDonald then bloodies Cariaso up with some ground and pound, the fighters stand up and Cariaso resumes his leg kick attack as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Cariaso attacking McDonald with more leg kicks, Cariaso switches it up and he hits McDonald with a body kick. McDonald then hits Cariaso with an elbow strike during a short scramble, Cariaso then nails McDonald with a left. McDonald then catches Cariaso with a counter left during a leg kick attempt, both fighters simultaneously throw kicks at each other. McDonald is accidentally nailed with a low blow and the fight is temporarily halted, the fight resumes with both men hitting each other with more kicks. Cariaso then catches McDonald with a knee strike during a scramble, McDonald scores a takedown on Cariaso and quickly gets full mount. Cariaso scrambles to escape as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Cariaso nailing McDonald with several kicks, McDonald then catches Cariaso with a two punch combination. Cariaso scores a takedown on McDonald and gets the half guard, McDonald then moves Cariaso into the full guard. The fighters stand up after a failed McDonald triangle and McDonald immediately scores a takedown on Cariaso. Cariaso nearly gets an omaplata on McDonald as they stood up, McDonald throws a head kick as the round ends.

Fight Result: Michael McDonald def. Chris Cariaso by split decision (30-27, 28-29, 28-29)

Fight #3 - UFC Lightweight Division Fight

Rafaello Oliveira (14-3-0) vs. Gleison Tibau (32-7-0)

Referee: Kim Winslow

Round One

The round begins with Oliveira hitting Tibau with some leg kicks, Oliveira then catches Tibau with a hard right. Tibau scores a nice takedown on Oliveira and a scramble puts them back on their feet immediately, Tibau then hits Oliveira with a two punch combination. Oliveira responds by hitting Tibau with a body kick, Tibau then scores another takedown on Oliveira and he gets half guard. Tibau moves into the full guard after throwing some ground and pound, the fighters stand up and Oliveira hits Tibau with a left as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Oliveira hitting Tibau with a knee strike, Oliveira follows it up with a counter left to Tibau. Tibau scores a takedown on Oliveira and gets the guard, the fighters scramble back to their feet and Tibau drops Oliveira with a left. Tibau follows it up with a ton more ground and pound while getting back control, Tibau continues to attack Oliveira with ground and pound. Tibau locks in a rear naked choke and a tap out follows.

Fight #4 – UFC Middleweight Division Fight

Kendall Grove (14-8-0-1NC) vs. Tim Boetsch (12-4-0)

Referee: Steve Mazzagatti

Round One

The round begins with Boetsch hitting Grove with a leg kick, Boetsch then tosses Grove to the ground and he gets the half guard. The fighters stand up and both fighters exchange push kicks, Boetsch scores another takedown on Grove and gets side control. Grove eventually forces Boetsch into the full guard, Grove tries to sneak in an arm bar and he fails at the attempt. The fighters stand up and Grove hits Boetsch with a few knee strikes, Boetsch responds with a few of his own as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Grove hitting Boetsch with a hard leg kick, Grove then attacks Boetsch with some knee strikes. Boetsch scores a trip takedown on Grove and he gets the half guard, Boetsch transitions to side control on Grove. Grove then gives up back control to Boetsch to force a scramble, Boetsch immediately gets Grove back on the ground and gets side control. Grove gives up his back again and Boetsch controls him better, the fighters stand up and Boetsch puts Grove back on the ground. Grove uses a scramble to get the fight on the feet as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Boetsch immediately scoring a takedown on Grove, the fighters quickly return to their feet and Grove hits Boetsch with knee strikes. Boetsch uses a judo throw to get the fight back to the ground, Grove gives up his back to Boetsch while eating knee strikes. The fighters return to their feet and Boetsch scores another takedown on Grove, the fighters quickly go back to their feet and Boetsch puts the fight back onto the ground. Boetsch attacks Grover with a little ground and pound while holding a half guard, Grove forces Boetsch into the full guard. Grove finds a way to stand up before scoring a takedown of his own on Boetsch, Boetsch uses a scramble to get on top of Grove as the round ends.

Fight Result: Tim Boetsch def. Kendall Grove by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Fight #5 - UFC Bantamweight Division Fight

Miguel Torres (38-3-0) vs. Demetrious Johnson (13-1-0)

Referee: Josh Rosenthal

Round One

The round begins with Johnson quickly attacking Torres with leg kicks, Johnson scores a takedown on Torres and gets the guard. Torres immediately sweeps Johnson and he gets the half guard, Torres transitions to side control on Johnson. Johnson eventually traps Torres back into the half guard, Johnson uses a brief scramble to get Torres into the butterfly guard. Torres returns to side control on Johnson, Johnson uses a reversal to get on top of Torres and into a weird position. Both fighters lock legs and Johnson eventually gets back control on Torres, Torres then forces Johnson into the full guard. The fighters roll around the octagon as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Johnson nailing Torres with a punching combination, Johnson then scores a takedown on Torres and he gets the guard. Torres uses a sweep to get the fight onto the feet, Johnson again scores a takedown on Torres and he gets the guard. Torres uses a scramble and ends up on his back near the cage wall. Torres attempted a triangle on Johnson and loses it, Johnson winds up in the open guard of Torres after the submission attempt. Torres nearly scrambles off his back and Johnson barely held him down, Johnson transitions to side control on Torres. Johnson is put back in the half guard by Torres as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Johnson hitting Torres with an overhead right, Johnson then scores a takedown on Torres and he gets the open guard. Torres nearly captured an arm bar on Johnson while on his back, Johnson transitions to side control on Torres. Torres is quick to put Johnson back into the open guard, Johnson then transitions into the half guard on Torres. The fighters scramble and Johnson gets back control on Torres, Torres then finds a way to put Johnson back into the guard. Torres uses a nice sweep to get full mount on Johnson, Johnson uses a scramble of his own to get Torres out of the full mount. Torres transitions to the half guard on Johnson, Torres locks in a guillotine choke from out of nowhere and Johnson barely escapes to his feet. Johnson scores one last takedown as the round ends.

Fight Result: Demetrious Johnson def. Miguel Torres by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Fight #6 – UFC Middleweight Division Fight

Brian Stann (10-3-0) vs. Jorge Santiago (23-8-0)

Referee: Herb Dean

Round One

The round begins with Stann attacking Santiago with leg kicks, Stann then hits a charging Santiago with some punches. Santiago then attacks Stann with a leg kick of his own, Stann then attacks Santiago with more leg kicks in response. Stann follows it up with a punch/kick combination on Santiago, Stann then drops Santiago with a left and he follows it up with ground and pound. Stann then gets on top of a downed Santiago and attacks him with elbow strikes, Stann follows up with a few more strikes as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Stann blocking a Santiago takedown attempt, Stann keeps the distance by hitting Santiago with leg kicks. Santiago then catches Stann with a right to the jaw, Stann responds by nailing Santiago with a left uppercut. Stann then resumes his leg kick attack on Santiago, Santiago recovers to catch Stann with a spinning elbow strike. Stann then hits an incoming Santiago with a right, Stann then catches Santiago with a two punch flurry. Stann then slows Santiago down with more leg and body kicks, Stann then drops Santiago with a right and follows it up with a few more strikes until the referee steps in.

Fight Result: Brian Stann def. Jorge Santiago by TKO via strikes (4:29, R2)

Fight #7 – UFC Welterweight Division Fight

Thiago Alves (23-6-0) vs. Rick Story (12-3-0)

Referee: Kim Winslow

Round One

The round begins with Story quickly hitting Alves with a left, Alves responds by quickly hitting Story with a right. Story grabs a hold of Alves and hits him with short knee strikes, Alves briefly puts Story on the ground with a trip takedown. Story then hits Alves with a two punch combination to the body, Story again starts attacking Alves with knee strikes. Alves barely connects with a knee strike to the body of Story, Story then destroys Alves with a series of wild punches to the face. Both fighters then start throwing wild strikes at each other as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Alves nailing Story with a few leg kicks, Alves follows it up by nailing Story with a body kick. Story scores a takedown on Alves and they both quickly return to the feet, Alves the gets a surprising takedown on Story and he gets half guard. The fighters return to their feet and Story hits Alves with a knee strike, Story then lunges at Alves with a right. The referee separates the fighters after inactivity and Story drags Alves to the ground, the fighters get back up and Alves lands a leg kick as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with both fighters wildly slugging it out, Alves then catches Story with a knee strike and left hook. Story recovers to catch Alves with a knee strike, Alves then catches Story with a two punch combination. Story responds by punching Alves in the body a few times, Alves then clobbers Story with a violent left hook, Alves then throws a nice left and then an uppercut to Story. Story closes the distance and hits Alves with a few knee strikes, Alves then drops Story with a knee to the stomach region. Alves then throws a head kick at a tiring Story, both fighters wildly slug it out as the round ends.

Fight Result: Rick Story def. Thiago Alves by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Fight #8 - UFC Heavyweight Division Fight

Stefan Struve (25-4-0) vs. Travis Browne (10-0-1)

Referee: Steve Mazzagatti

Round One

The round begins with both fighters exchanging some leg kicks, Struve then barely connects with a superman punch. Browne responds by hitting Struve with a short elbow, Struve recovers to hit Browne with a push kick to the body. Struve then catches Browne with a counter right to the jaw, Browne scores a takedown on Struve and gets the half guard. Struve then trips Browne as he postured up and he then nearly caught him in a choke, Browne then drops Struve with a superman punch and the referee steps in after one more blow.

Fight Result: Travis Browne def. Stefan Struve by Knockout via Superman Punch (4:11, R1)

Fight #9 - UFC Heavyweight Division Fight

Frank Mir (14-5-0) vs. Roy Nelson (16-5-0)

Referee: Josh Rosenthal

Round One

The round begins with both fighters exchanging knee strikes to the body, Mir then hits Nelson with a knee strike to the face. Nelson recovers by tagging Mir with a wild right, Mir grabs a hold of Nelson and levels him with a ton of knee strikes. Nelson recovers to nail Mir with an uppercut and right to the head, Mir responds by nailing Nelson with more knee strikes. Mir scores a judo throw takedown on Nelson and gets full mount, Mir then gets standing back control on Nelson as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Mir attacking Nelson with several kicks to the body, Mir then scores a takedown on Nelson and he gets half guard. Mir then gets standing back control again on Nelson, Nelson breaks free to hit Mir with a left uppercut. Mir then clobbers Nelson with a knee strike before scoring another takedown, the fighters stand up and Mir hits Nelson with a body kick/knee strike combination. Nelson then hits Mir with a very weak looking uppercut as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Mir nailing Nelson with a knee strike to the face, Mir then scores another takedown on Nelson and he gets half guard. Mir then transitions to side control on Nelson, the fighters stand up and Mir puts Nelson back on the ground. Mir starts attacking Nelson with some light ground and pound, the fighters stand up again and Mir once again scores a takedown. Mir then starts clobbering Nelson with some hard elbow strikes, they both get back up as the round ends.

Fight Result: Frank Mir def. Roy Nelson by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26)

Main Event - UFC Light Heavyweight Division Fight

Quinton Jackson (21-8-0) vs. Matt Hamill (11-2-0)

Referee: Herb Dean

Round One

The round begins with Hamill attacking Jackson with a few kicks, Jackson blocks a takedown from Hamill and hits him with a few strikes. Jackson then rocks Hamill with a speedy uppercut to the jaw, Hamill continues to attempt a lot of kicks against Jackson. Jackson then catches Hamill with a right uppercut to the head, Jackson follows it up with a three punch combination on Hamill. Jackson continuously blocks the takedown attempts on Hamill, Jackson then nails Hamill with an uppercut and knee strike as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Jackson stuffing Hamill’s takedown attempts, Jackson then starts attacking Hamill with knee strikes. Jackson follows that up by nailing Hamill with an uppercut, Jackson then catches a charging Hamill with a two punch combination. Hamill gets a little offense in by peppering Jackson with a few jabs, Jackson then blocks a few more Hamill takedown attempts. Jackson then rocks Hamill badly with an uppercut and knee strike, Jackson follows it up by nailing Hamill with two punches to the body as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Hamill attempting a superman punch and failing, Jackson responds by nailing Hamill with a knee strike. Hamill then hits Jackson with a two punch combination, Jackson responds by attacking the body of Hamill with punches. Jackson then clobbers Hamill with a huge knee strike, Jackson then hits Hamill with a multiple punch combination. Jackson then dazes Hamill with a left hook from out of nowhere, Jackson follows that up with a knee strike to the body. Jackson lands a wild punching combination as the round ends.

Fight Result: Quinton Jackson def. Matt Hamill by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
