The evening is going to kick off in the bantamweight division as Jeff “Hellbound†Hougland (9-4-0) takes on Donny “Eagle Eye†Walker (15-6-0). Jeff Hougland enters the fight riding an eight fight winning streak, with his last four coming in the Rumble On The Rock promotion. Donny Walker enters this fight riding a seven fight winning streak and this will be his first MMA fight of 2011. This fight should mainly be fought on the ground, with Donny Walker picking up the big time submission victory.
A pair of lightweight competitors will square off next as Anthony Njokuani (13-5-0) goes to battle against Andre Winner (11-5-1). Anthony Njokuani is currently winless in UFC competition, suffering a defeat to Edson Mendez Barboza Jr. at UFC 128. Andre Winner has won two of five in the UFC, suffering two straight losses to Dennis Siver and Nik Lentz. This fight should be an entertaining slugfest, a slugfest that will be won by the better slugger in Anthony Njokuani.
Up next is an important middleweight division encounter as Aaron “A-Train†Simpson (9-2-0) faces Brad Tavares (7-0-0). Aaron Simpson ended a two fight losing skid at UFC Ultimate Fight Night 24 when he defeated Mario Miranda by unanimous decision. Brad Tavares is currently undefeated in UFC competition, recently defeating Phil Baroni at UFC 125. This fight is going to be about whom can implement their game plan first, but I see Brad Tavares pulling the victory out in the end.
Headlining this portion of the card is a bantamweight division affair as Brian Bowles (9-1-0) faces off with Takeya Mizugakli (14-5-2). Brian Bowles is a former WEC Bantamweight Champion and won in his UFC debut over Damacio Page at UFC On Versus III. Takeya Mizugaki is also undefeated in UFC competition, having defeated Rueben Duran at UFC On Versus III. I see Brian Bowles coming out of this fight on top and on route to a rematch for his lost UFC Bantamweight Title.
