For the first time in several years, there will be a welterweight champion in the UFC that is not named Georges St. Pierre. That is because welterweight contenders Nick Diaz and Carlos Condit will battle for the UFC Interim Welterweight Title. However, before that action kicks off, there are two fights on Facebook and one is a key fight in the middleweight division.
Kicking off the action is a middleweight division contest as Rafael “Sapo†Natal (13-3-1) faces Michael “Judo†Kuiper (11-0-0). Rafael Natal is coming off of his first victory in the UFC, when he defeated Paul Bradley by unanimous decision at UFC 133. Michael Kuiper will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he does so riding an eleven fight undefeated streak. This fight should be an excellent battle on the ground, but it will be Rafael Natal ending his opponent’s undefeated streak.
Headlining this portion of the card is a welterweight division bout as Daniel “The Anvil†Stittgen (7-1-0) takes on Stephen “Wonderboy†Thompson (5-0-0). Daniel Stittgen enters this fight riding a three fight winning streak, last competing in the King Of The Cage promotion. Stephen Thompson will also be making his UFC debut in this fight, mostly competing in the Fight Party promotion beforehand. This battle will be falling under the radar for most UFC fans, but it will be Daniel Stittgen earning the victory.
