Despite already appearing on Fuel TV a few times this year, this Wednesday Night marks the first official event to air on the network. However, before the action kicks off on Fuel TV, there are five preliminary fights that are streaming live on Facebook. The fights that air on Facebook will be featuring a UFC Ultimate Fighter Champion and a top ranked bantamweight veteran.
Kicking off the action is a welterweight division fight as Bernardo “Trekko†Magalhaes (11-1-0) dukes it out with Tim “The Dirty Bird†Means (16-3-1). Bernardo Magalhaes enters the fight riding a five fight winning streak, with three victories coming in the Cage Fighting Championships promotion. Tim Means enters this fight after competing only three weeks ago, defeating Tye Brown at King Of The Cage: Total Destruction. This fight is all about who is going to get to start their UFC career of undefeated, but it will be Bernardo Magalhaes getting that accomplishment in the end.
We move to the lightweight division for the next fight as Anton Kuivanen (16-4-0) stands in the octagon against Justin Salas (9-3-0). Anton Kuivanen enters the fight riding a nine fight winning streak, but he will be making his UFC debut in this fight. Justin Salas will also be making his UFC debut in this fight also, but he holds a victory over Joe Ellenberger, brother of UFC veteran Jake Ellenberger. It will be interesting to see which fighter enters the crowded lightweight division with a win and that fighter is going to be Anton Kuivanen.
Light heavyweights will be highlighted next as Sean “The Destroyer†Loeffler (25-5-0) battles Buddy Roberts (11-2-0). Sean Loeffler enters the fight riding a six fight winning streak, with five of those victories occurring in under a minute. Buddy Roberts has the same name as the famous Buddy Roberts of pro wrestling fame, plus he holds a victory over veteran fighter Tony Lopez. This is a battle between two fighters known for finishing fights, but it will be Sean Loeffler getting the victory in this one.
Up next is a featherweight division contest as Jonathan Brookins (12-4-0) takes on Vagner “Ceara†Rocha (7-2-0). Jonathan Brookins is the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 12, when he defeated Michael Johnson in the finals. Vagner Rocha has split both of his UFC fights thus far, defeating Cody McKenzie and suffering a defeat to Donald Cerrone. This will be a true test for Jonathan Brookins in his UFC run, but it will be a test that the UFC veteran passes.
Headlining this portion of the card is a bantamweight division fight as John “Prince†Albert (7-1-0) faces Ivan “Pride Of El Salvador†Menjivar (23-8-0). John Albert is currently undefeated in UFC competition, having defeating Dustin Pague at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale. Ivan Menjivar is also undefeated in UFC competition, attaining victories over Charlie Valencia and Nick Pace. This fight will be determining who moves into bigger bantamweight division fights and that fighter is going to be Ivan Menjivar.
