Fight #4 - UFC Bantamweight Division Fight

Ivan Menjivar (23-8-0) vs. John Albert (7-1-0)

Referee: Jim Axtell

Round One

The round begins with Albert testing Menjivar early with some leg kicks, Albert then catches Menjivar with a few knee strikes. Menjivar then attempts a spinning back fist before dragging Albert to the ground, Albert then rolls for an omaplata and Menjivar escapes. Menjivar then starts attacking Albert with some ground and pound, Menjivar then postures up and both fighters start going for foot locks on each other. Menjivar then uses a scramble to land a high head kick on Albert, Albert then rocks Menjivar with a head kick of his own. Albert follows it up by destroying Menjivar with a ton of knee strikes, Menjivar then finds a way to get the fight on the ground. Menjivar then transitions to back control on Albert, Menjivar then locks in a rear naked choke and the tap out follows.

Fight Result: Ivan Menjivar def. John Albert by submission via rear naked choke (3:45, R1)

Post fight interview with Ivan Menjivar, who says that he thought about Sakuraba while hurt and John Albert is a dangerous fighter.

Fight #5 - UFC Bantamweight Division Fight

TJ Dillashaw (5-1-0) vs. Walel Watson (9-3-0)

Referee: Josh Rosenthal

Round One

The round begins with Dillashaw quickly catching Watson with a superman punch, Dillashaw then starts working for a takedown on Watson. Dillashaw then briefly drags Watson to the ground before planting him a second time, Dillashaw winds up in the guard of Watson. Dillashaw then starts attacking Watson with some ground and pound, Dillashaw then transitions to back control on Watson. Dillashaw then starts weakening Watson for the submission attempt by landing some strikes, Dillashaw then moves to full mount on Watson after the choke was defended. Dillashaw then returns to back control on Watson while continuing to land strikes, Dillashaw continues with ground and pound until the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Dillashaw quickly cracking Watson with a right, Dillashaw then trips Watson and gets him to the ground. Dillashaw then gets side control on Watson after landing a knee strike, Watson then finds a way to get Dillashaw in the half guard. Dillashaw then starts attacking Watson with some ground and pound, Dillashaw then gets full mount on Watson after a scramble. Dillashaw then starts attacking Watson with a lot more ground and pound, Dillashaw then moves to back control on Watson and he attempts another rear naked choke. Dillashaw fails at the choke attempt and he resumes his ground and pound on Watson until the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Watson trying to attack Dillashaw with a flying knee strike, Dillashaw then charges at Watson and he lands a solid right. Dillashaw then drags Watson back to the ground and he gets side control, Watson uses a scramble to get the fight on the feet. Watson then hits a charging Dillashaw with a knee strike, Watson then drags Dillashaw to the ground with a flying triangle choke. Dillashaw escapes and he gets back control on Watson, Watson rolls through and he starts working leg locks on Dillashaw. Dillashaw eventually escapes and he gets in the full guard of Watson, Dillashaw then gets back control on Watson. Watson then escapes a rear naked choke attempt from Dillashaw, Dillashaw then attacks Watson with ground and pound until the round ends.

Fight Result: TJ Dillashaw def. Walel Watson by unanimous decision (30-25, 30-25, 30-26)

Post fight interview with TJ Dillashaw, who says that he showed off his wrestling for his Nebraska fans tonight and he stuck to his game plan.

Fight #6 - UFC Heavyweight Division Fight

Philip De Fries (8-0-0-1NC) vs. Stipe Miocic (7-0-0)

Referee: Dan Miragliotta

Round One

The round begins with De Fries quickly catching Miocic with an overhand right, Miocic then catches De Fries with a counter punch. Miocic then drops De Fries with another right, Miocic follows it up with some ground and pound until the referee jumps in.

Fight Result: Stipe Miocic def. Philip De Fries by KO via strikes (0:43, R1)

Post fight interview with Stipe Miocic, who says that he has to learn to keep his hands up and it was awesome to get his first knockout in the UFC.

Fight #7 - UFC Middleweight Division Fight

Ronny Markes (12-1-0) vs. Aaron Simpson (10-2-0)

Referee: Jim Axtell

Round One

The round begins with Simpson charging at Markes while throwing strikes, Markes then connects with a few strikes of his own. Markes then powers Simpson up against the cage wall, the referee separates the fighters after inactivity and Markes starts attacking Simpson with leg kicks. Markes then catches Simpson with a multi punch combination, Simpson then drops Markes with a left. Simpson then jumps on Markes and he attacks him with a lot of ground and pound, Simpson then postures up on Markes to attack his legs with kicks. The referee stand up the fighters after inactivity and Markes charges at Simpson while throwing strikes, Simpson then powers Markes up against the cage wall as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Markes attacking Simpson with leg kicks, Simpson then shoves Markes up against the cage wall. The fighters split and Markes catches Simpson with an elbow strike, Simpson then forces Markes up against the cage wall while landing a few knee strikes. Simpson then briefly puts Markes on the ground before eating a knee strike, the fighters then rotate positions along the cage wall. Markes then scores a takedown on Simpson and he gets the half guard, Markes then starts elbowing Simpson in the thigh area. Markes then lands some ground and pound before the fighters both stood up, Markes then holds Simpson on the cage wall as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Simpson immediately cracking Markes with a right, Markes then resumes his leg kick attack on Simpson. Markes then catches Simpson with an odd looking right upper cut, the fighters then battle for position on the cage wall. Simpson then catches Markes with a two punch combination to the ribs, Simpson then catches a charging Markes with a push kick. Markes then holds Simpson on the cage wall while landing some foot stomps, the referee separates the fighters after inactivity and Simpson catches Markes with a right. Markes responds by catching Simpson with a knee strike, Markes then catches Simpson with an odd looking knee strike after a slip. Markes then scores the takedown on Simpson and he gets leg control, Simpson stands up and Markes controls him as the round ends.

Fight Result: Ronny Markes def. Aaron Simpson by split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)

Post fight interview with Ronny Markes, who says it took a lot to put on a good show for the fans and he thanks his fight team.

Fight #8 - UFC Heavyweight Division Fight

Dave Herman (21-2-0) vs. Stefan Struve (26-5-0)

Referee: Josh Rosenthal

Round One

The round begins with Herman attacking Struve with some leg kicks, Struve then attempts a high kick on Herman. Herman then charges at Struve and he catches him with a knee strike to the midsection, Herman then pops Struve with a punch to the belly. Herman then catches Struve with a two punch combination after eating a leg kick, Both fighters then exchange a few blows while on the cage wall. Struve then clobbers Herman with a right, Herman then resumes his leg kick attack on the much taller Struve. Struve then starts attacking Herman with several different varieties of kicks, Herman then catches a Struve kick to pop him with a right as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Herman resuming his leg kicking attack on Struve, Struve responds with a striking combo of his own. Struve then scores a takedown on Herman and he quickly gets back control, Herman then uses a scramble to quickly break free. Herman then catches Struve with a right after throwing a leg kick, Struve then lands a huge body kick on Herman. Struve then starts landing more leg kicks on Herman, Struve then rocks Herman with a right to the head. Herman then starts trying to back Struve up with some kicks, Struve then drops Herman with an uppercut. Struve moves to full mount on Herman and he starts attacking him with a lot of strikes until the referee jumps in.

Fight Result: Stefan Struve def. Dave Herman by TKO via strikes (3:52, R2)

Post fight interview with Stefan Struve, who says that he wasn’t performing good in the first round and he felt his energy was a little low.

Main Event - UFC Welterweight Division Fight

Jake Ellenberger (26-5-0) vs. Diego Sanchez (25-4-0)

Referee: Dan Miragliotta

Round One

The round begins with Ellenberger catching Sanchez with a two punch combination, both fighters then simultaneously kick each other. Ellenberger then stops a charging Sanchez with a three punch combo, Ellenberger then catches an incoming Sanchez with a knee strike. Sanchez recovers by nailing Ellenberger with a straight right, Sanchez then connects with another right before both fighters start swinging wildly at each other. Ellenberger then drops Sanchez with a right before clobbering him with a knee strike, Ellenberger then hits Sanchez with another knee before eating an uppercut. Ellenberger then catches a charging Sanchez with a right as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Ellenberger immediately attacking Sanchez with leg kicks, Ellenberger then attacks Sanchez with a head kick. Both fighters then pop each other with lefts at the same time, Ellenberger then nails Sanchez with a counter left. Ellenberger then backs Sanchez up with a right uppercut, Ellenberger then resumes his leg kick attack on Sanchez. Sanchez then nails Ellenberger with a two punch combination, Sanchez then rushes at Ellenberger while throwing the right. Ellenberger then scores a takedown on Sanchez and he gets the full guard, Sanchez then starts going for some submissions from his back. Ellenberger then starts pounding on Sanchez with elbow strikes as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Ellenberger lunging at Sanchez while throwing some punches, Ellenberger then starts catching Sanchez with some leg kicks. Ellenberger then almost trips Sanchez with a leg sweep kick, Sanchez then starts charging at Ellenberger while throwing strikes. Ellenberger then keeps catching a charging Sanchez with some left jabs, Sanchez then nails Ellenberger with a right. Ellenberger then rocks Sanchez with a knee to the midsection, Ellenberger then scores a takedown on Sanchez after eating a few strikes. Sanchez then shakes Ellenberger off of him and he quickly gets back control on him, Sanchez then starts attacking Ellenberger with ground and pound. Ellenberger finds a way to get back up and they both swing wildly at each other as the round ends.

Fight Result: Jake Ellenberger def. Diego Sanchez by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
